Wizard: Starting from the Skill Tree
Chapter 1023 - 854: Farewell
Serafina led the Duke through the garden, then proceeded to tour the palace’s Meditation Room, a circular room carved entirely from a natural block of aquamarine, the walls adorned with pure Water Element Rules.
The library’s dome soared over ten meters high, its shelves neatly stacked with thousands of shell tomes and seaweed scrolls, along with a banquet hall specifically designed for hosting external guests.
The banquet hall’s long table was polished from a single thousand-year-old coral, its surface smooth as a mirror, reflecting the glow of thousands of Luminous Pearls from the dome.
Every corner was opulent beyond imagination, yet Serafina introduced it all with a nonchalant casualness.
Upon exiting the banquet hall, Serafina’s pace suddenly slowed.
She remained silent for a while, her hand gently tightening around the Duke’s arm, then she stopped at a corner of the Coral Corridor, turned around, and looked up at the Duke.
"Duke." Her voice was softer than before, seemingly contemplating her words but ultimately choosing the most direct approach, "What can I do for you?"
The Duke was slightly taken aback. She continued, her tone carrying an unmistakable sincerity: "You are now at Level 3 Initial Stage, still far from reaching Level 4 Divine Status. The Plane Promotion window period is crucial; you must break through within this period, otherwise, you’ll miss the original imprint. Cultivation requires resources; whatever you need, whatever I have, I’m willing to give."
The Duke didn’t answer immediately; he was silent for a while, not hesitating whether to accept but swiftly calculating in his mind his current Rule system and most urgent needs.
The Six-Element High-Level Affinity granted him the potential to master six Rule Powers. Currently, the Fire Attribute, Shadow, Light, and Earth Rules were all initiated, producing the Four-Color Divine Light as a product of these Rule Fusions.
Yet beyond the four colors lay six, and Wind Attribute Rules and Water Attribute Rules had not yet begun, not because he didn’t wish to practice, but because he lacked the key to unlock these two doors.
The Key of Rules is an extremely scarce resource throughout the Wizard Plane. Having encountered the Heart of Molten Fire explosion by chance in the Four Spirits Elemental Plane to obtain a Fire Attribute Key of Rules was a significant stroke of luck. To acquire the Wind Attribute and Water Attribute Keys of Rules, even with his connections at the Six-Ring Tower and the two major Commerce Associations, is not something that can be resolved in the short term.
"The Key of Rules." The Duke lifted his gaze, directly meeting Serafina’s eyes, "What I need most now are the Wind Attribute and Water Attribute Keys of Rules, needed for some research."
After hearing his words, Serafina’s mouth curved slightly into a smile of satisfaction, as if she finally heard the words she most wanted to hear.
She did not release the Duke’s arm but rather pulled him and turned to walk away, her steps far quicker than during the garden tour, her gown trailing a winding water trace across the coral floor.
"You should’ve said so earlier." Her voice carried a hint of barely contained excitement, "Wind Attribute and Water Attribute Keys of Rules, others might not have them, but for me, they’re not a rare thing. The Sea Race has been in the deep sea for so many years, collecting treasures more than you can imagine. I do have them in my vault, and more than just one."
She led the Duke through the Coral Corridor, trailing down a spiraling Crystal Stairs for quite a while, reaching a massive Obsidian Arch.
The door frame was engraved densely with Water Element Defense Runes, each rune emitting a deep blue cold light, illuminating the entire staircase like a tunnel under the deep sea.
Serafina raised her hand to the door surface, her fingertips sequentially tapping several specific nodes within the rune array.
Each tap was accompanied by a barely audible hum, the runes extinguishing layer by layer, then lighting up again, transforming from deep blue to pale gold, and then from pale gold to silver-white, until the whole door made a muffled light sound, slowly sliding inward.
The space behind the door was far more expansive than the Duke anticipated. It wasn’t a vault; it was an independent realm with compressed space.
The dome soared nearly a hundred meters high, formed of natural seabed crystal veins, the crystal interior preserved countless ancient marine life fossils, which under the illumination of surrounding Luminous Pearls emitted a warm milky white glow.
Rows of crystal display stands were neatly arranged within the realm, each stand showcased different collections.
There was Deep Sea Meteorite Iron the size of an adult, Ten Thousand Year Water Spirit Coral sealed in a Constant Temperature Crystal Box, Level 4 Sea Beast Crystal Core swirling with pale blue light, neatly stacked Deep Sea Ore Mother, unidentified deep-sea Luminous Pearls emitting soft glowing halos, and various high-purity Elemental Crystals worth fortunes in the Wizard Plane.
Serafina merely glanced casually at the room full of treasures before walking straight past several display stands towards the depths of the realm.
The Duke followed behind, his gaze sweeping over the collections on the side display stands one by one, quickly assessing the value of each item and its market price in the Wizard Plane.
Just the few rows casually glanced at together were already worth astronomical figures, and this was only one of her many palace’s private vaults.
"Found it." Serafina stopped in front of a small crystal display stand at the deepest part of the realm.
