Chapter 512: Chapter 369: The ’Chicken Rib’ [Knowledge]

In Isaac’s laboratory, a wisp of Divine Power from Manchester Yifalei, the God of Mystery and Wisdom, coalesced. As it did, the glow of the ritual at Isaac’s feet slowly faded.

Lifting his right hand, Isaac gazed at the Divine Power swirling around his fingertips. His eyes narrowed slightly. A faint light from his [Analysis] Authority shimmered, and a torrent of information flooded his mind, which he processed instantly.

Things were different now. Previously, activating the [Analysis] Authority meant being passively bombarded with a god’s junk data. Isaac would have to accept a mountain of useless information first, then sift through the trash to find the gold—the useful data he actually needed.

But things were different now. Isaac had already advanced to Tier Four. And while his [Analysis] Authority hadn’t been Enhanced like his other Authorities due to a lack of sufficient Knowledge, his superior Tier Four life essence still made it a little stronger.

Moreover, with his current understanding of Deities, he could easily extract the specific data he required.

Thus, after only a moment, the formula for Manchester’s Divine Authority materialized in Isaac’s mind...

A flicker of surprise showed in Isaac’s eyes. ’Well... how should I put this...’

He was starting to understand why this fellow had been fleeced so badly by the Mad Witches. They’d practically bullied him into a state of withdrawal!

The reason was simple—he was weak.

Pathetically weak.

Generally, a Deity could obtain their own unique Divine Authority by fusing multiple Authorities in a specific ratio and then combining the result with the power of a Divinity.

And while many Divine Authorities were duplicates, the strength of even identical Divine Authorities would inevitably differ based on their composition.

’Normally, the number of Authorities in the formula doesn’t entirely determine the Divine Authority’s strength. But, without a doubt, a Divine Authority I craft from three Authorities is highly likely to be stronger than one you make from only two!’

Given this, any Deity with a shred of ambition would try to fuse as many Authorities as possible into their Divine Authority. The exception would be someone like Isaac, who was merely strengthening a Virtual Deity, in which case it didn’t really matter.

The limiting factor for a Virtual Deity’s power was never the Divine Authority itself, but the Tier of the Virtual Deity. At a mere Tier Four, it wouldn’t matter how Isaac fused or combined the Authorities; the result would be mediocre at best.

That was why his Virtual Deity’s Divine Authorities were all of the simple, dual-Authority model.

And as luck would have it, this God of Mystery and Wisdom’s Divine Authority was also a dual-Authority one...

90% [Analysis] + 30% [Knowledge].

That’s right, ninety percent plus thirty percent.

A formula that defied a Wizard’s understanding...

The two added up to more than one hundred percent, but the formula for a Divine Authority wasn’t a simple numbers game. This was one of the ways Deities could gain a sudden advantage.

’This, however, posed a bit of a problem...’

Isaac’s brow furrowed. The configuration for this Divine Authority wasn’t difficult—it was just a dual-Authority Divine Authority, after all. But as the saying goes, you can’t make bricks without straw. Over the years, Isaac had incidentally mastered numerous Authorities, but unfortunately, [Knowledge] was not among them.

Because this particular Authority...

...wasn’t a great fit for Wizards.

The [Knowledge] Authority was once known as [Inspiration] and used to be an essential Authority for Wizards. It didn’t just significantly boost a Wizard’s learning ability; it also provided frequent ’flashes of inspiration’ during research, which was a tremendous help.

’Sounds like a perfect match for a Wizard, doesn’t it?’

But that couldn’t be further from the truth.

Over a great expanse of time, Wizards gradually discovered a fatal flaw in the [Knowledge] Authority—it would eventually cause a Wizard’s inspiration to run dry!

That’s right. The very [Knowledge] Authority that brought inspiration to Wizards would, in the end, cause their inspiration to wither away.

This was because the inspiration brought by [Knowledge] was limited. A more fitting name for it would be pseudo-inspiration.

True inspiration holds infinite possibilities and can help a Wizard complete any research. Pseudo-inspiration, however, cannot. It is, in essence, just an answer—an answer drawn from the knowledge the Wizard already possesses.

Therefore, the more inspiration [Knowledge] provided, the less true inspiration a Wizard would have, until one day, they would lose most of their creativity!

Of course, even with this drawback, the pros of [Knowledge] still outweighed the cons for the majority of Wizards. After all, it was a great boon for learning, even if its benefits were limited to just that.

And for most Wizards, learning was a lifelong pursuit.

Extracting ’inspiration’ from existing knowledge was more than enough for them. But Isaac was clearly not part of that majority. He was a bit more ambitious.

Thus, [Knowledge] was not among the Authorities he had mastered, nor had he ever planned on acquiring it.

However, this didn’t mean Isaac was incapable of constructing the Divine Authority. It would just be a little more... troublesome.

Back in the laboratory, Isaac first infused a crystal with ninety percent of his [Analysis] Authority’s power. He then took out several multicolored recording crystals and, following a specific sequence, tossed them into the Magic Cauldron at his side.

SNAP!

With the snap of his fingers, a fluorescent green Flame erupted beneath the Crucible, rapidly bringing a strange green liquid inside to a boil. Green bubbles popped one after another as a multicolored gas rose from the Crucible and swirled in the air above it.

Isaac made no other move, simply standing aside and quietly observing the scene.

A moment later, the liquid in the Crucible was still boiling, but gas no longer escaped from it. Above the Crucible, a multicolored, strangely eerie mass of gas floated silently.

Isaac tapped his index finger lightly. The multicolored gas instantly began to collapse violently inward, and in a few moments, it condensed into a thumb-sized, five-colored crystal.

Isaac narrowed his eyes, visually measuring it. With a light flick of his fingertip, a corner of the five-colored crystal was shaved off. He measured it again, then nodded in satisfaction. ’There. Thirty percent.’

He plucked the Five-Colored Crystal Stone from the air. The two Power Crystal Stones, each with a different Authority, began to rotate slowly in his hands. Wisps of power erupted from them, intertwining but remaining incompatible.

Weaving a Divine Authority was, of course, not so simple. Under normal circumstances, the powers of different Authorities could not be fused; in extreme cases, they would even violently repel each other.

This was why even Wizards’ Authority Magic was mostly based on a single Authority. Only a rare few spells, those in pursuit of ultimate destructive power, would employ multiple Authorities to maximize their mutually repulsive properties.

The reason a Divine Authority could be successfully created, however, was because of...

RRRIP—

Demon Claw Harmon shot out from behind Isaac’s head. The Evil Eye in its palm shone with an eerie light. Wisps of Divine Power began to gather in Isaac’s palm, and under their influence, the once-incompatible Power Crystal Stones started to slowly merge.

A moment later, the two Power Crystal Stones vanished from Isaac’s hand. In their place rested a single, pale purple Crystal Stone—the Divine Seed of Mystery and Wisdom!
