Wizard: Scamming a Demon God
Chapter 482 - 354: Three Years
Chapter 482: Chapter 354: Three Years
The two sides were completely mismatched in terms of combat strength. The Black Knight couldn’t see a shred of hope, especially since the enemy’s strongest fighters hadn’t even made a move.
Of course, this was to be expected. Otherwise, the Black Knight and Gandalf wouldn’t have chosen to display their power in an attempt to "get a good price" for themselves.
However, what the Black Knight and his men hadn’t expected was just how powerful Isaac’s group was!
They couldn’t even withstand mere Tier Three attacks...
As the saying goes, once the thought of surrender takes root, the world suddenly opens up.
Before surrendering, Isaac’s bizarre and immense power—controlling Demons, Deities, and even Dimension Worlds—had plunged the Black Knight into a despair as deep as the Abyss.
Such inconceivable powers were terrifying in his hands!
But after surrendering, those same powers were incredibly reassuring. After all, Isaac was his boss now.
After the Black Knight pledged his allegiance, things went much more smoothly. All the warring troops inside the Little World ceased fighting and began to focus on collecting data on the World Wall, coordinating with Isaac’s group on the outside.
But the surrender of the Black Knight and his men didn’t mean the matter was over so simply.
On the contrary, the overall difficulty actually increased!
This was because regardless of a world’s size, as long as life had been born within it, the world itself possessed its own will. The only difference between them was the strength of that will.
The World Will is born from all living beings, yet it exists independently of them.
It—or rather, He, with a capital H—wasn’t like the ones in the fantasy novels from Isaac’s past life that would turn evil. The World Will itself was neutral. Or, to be more precise, He wouldn’t side with any single life-form; He sided with *all* life!
In other words, even though the humans represented by the Black Knight had chosen to surrender, it didn’t mean the World Will would yield, even if humanity was the dominant species of this world.
The World Will viewed all living beings as equals.
Therefore, the surrender of the Black Knight’s forces only served to relieve some of the military pressure. Cracking the World Wall, however, had become even more difficult. The World Will was greatly displeased with their choice—after all, it was tantamount to betrayal!
However, He couldn’t do anything to the Black Knight and his people, nor would He. He would simply pour all His energy into resisting Isaac’s attempts to breach the World Wall.
This would severely hamper the progress of Isaac and his two companions.
Still, it wasn’t all bad. Without having to worry about the Black Knight’s resistance, Isaac and Philo could devote their full attention to the task.
Isaac moved to Philo’s side and quickly synced the data they had each collected. He stroked his chin in thought for a moment, and then a terrifying torrent of Dimensional Magic Power surged from his body like a tidal wave, startling Philo, Angel, and the Black Knight.
However, upon realizing Isaac had no hostile intent, they relaxed their reflexive defenses and watched his actions with curiosity.
The Dimensional Magic Power, radiating a sinister aura, spread along the World Wall like a flood, seemingly intending to envelop the entire Little World.
Sure enough, a moment later, Isaac had wrapped the spherical Little World in a thin layer of Dimensional Magic Power. The layer was so faint that its corrosive properties were almost nonexistent.
To be honest, Dimensional Magic Power of this intensity couldn’t even harm an Ordinary person with its Corrosion.
But that was precisely what left Philo and the others scratching their heads. ’What is Isaac trying to do with such a weak concentration of Dimensional Magic Power?’
’Devour the Little World?’
’This is nowhere near enough, and it doesn’t follow any known procedure.’
One of the ways a Dimension World could grow was indeed by devouring a Little World, and the Flesh Sect had several established methods for it. Philo was certain, however, that Isaac’s actions didn’t match any of them. ’So, what is he trying to do?’
Soon, they had their answer. The thin layer of Dimensional Magic Power began to emit an eerie purple glow before suddenly plunging into the World Wall, its power of Erosion unleashed to its fullest!
’???’
The three onlookers were stunned. ’No way, is he really trying to devour it?’
’Will that even work?’
Obviously, it wouldn’t.
As the three of them had predicted, there were no surprises. The moment the Dimensional Magic Power attacked, it was instantly dispersed by the World Wall, having no effect whatsoever.
Oh, wait. It did have *some* effect. The World Will was enraged. A majestic wave of the Power of Origin rapidly converged and surged toward them at incredible speed!
Before the three of them could even react, the Power of Origin completely engulfed Isaac!
It enveloped him in a sphere of pure white light!
"What?!"
Horrified, the three prepared to intervene and save Isaac. But before they could act, a kaleidoscopic brilliance of Divine Power erupted from within the pure white sphere. In an instant, a shockwave of what could only be described as berserk Divine Power detonated outward!
When the light faded, they focused their gaze and saw four ornaments on Isaac’s body emitting a faint, multicolored glow. The powerful fluctuation of Divine Power originated from them. Under the protection of the Four Gods—no, it must be the Five Gods—Isaac was completely unharmed.
*RRRIP—*
A Demon Claw, with an Evil Eye embedded in its palm, emerged from the back of Isaac’s neck. Compared to the incredibly righteous aura of the Divine Power from the Four Gods on Isaac’s body, the Divine Power of the Demon Claw’s Evil Eye was far more sinister—the spitting image of an Evil God.
At that moment, however, none of the three had the mental capacity to dwell on such details. The power Isaac was displaying was simply far too terrifying!
