Wizard: Scamming a Demon God
Chapter 450 - 334: The Empire’s End and the Solomon Kingdom?
Chapter 450: Chapter 334: The Empire’s End and the Solomon Kingdom?
Ten Virtual Divinities—this was Isaac’s final gift to the Wilderness Humans. The Divine Authority of these ten Virtual Divinities was modeled after the largest Pantheon in the human Churches of the Real World. And though their abilities were all weakened versions, this world wasn’t very strong, was it?
’They would be more than enough.’
Mephisto gazed at the Divinity in his hand, took a small step back, and then bowed deeply to Isaac.
’Seeing this, Mephisto knew. He could never repay the Divine Master’s grace!’
...
After settling the final matters, Isaac and Maxu Kant waited quietly in the underground laboratory for the Endless Tower to close. A few days later, Isaac suddenly felt a faint repulsive force.
’It was time to leave.’
The repulsive force was still relatively weak. He could have forced himself to stay for a few more days if he’d wanted, but he had already taken care of everything. There was no reason to linger. He beckoned to Maxu Kant, who transformed into a silver ring that slid onto his index finger.
Then, Isaac was enveloped in a seven-colored radiance and shot toward the sky as a streak of light.
"Divine Master..." Mephisto stood atop the Divine Hall, watching as the seven-colored streak of light that was Isaac gradually vanished. Hearing what sounded like a collective exhale, as if a massive burden had been lifted, he sighed with a hint of dejection...
’Perhaps it’s right that the Divine Master is leaving. They... they are not worthy of His protection...’
Similar scenes were taking place all over the Wilderness Dungeon, especially in the major Magic Capitals.
The Wilderness Humans who had stepped onto the Path of the Extraordinary watched the streaks of seven-colored light rising and flying toward the sky, their feelings exceptionally complex. There was reluctance and unease, but also a sense of relief...
After all, these Wizards from the Real World were simply too powerful!
They were so powerful it was reassuring, and also terrifying.
...
Isaac could somewhat understand what the Wilderness Humans were thinking, and their feelings were understandable. But powerhouses like him, who came from the Real World, didn’t care. This place had no future.
’The whole "big fish in a small pond" mentality didn’t really apply to the Extraordinary World.’
In no time, the seven-colored light carried Isaac through the sky of the Wilderness Dungeon. Accompanied by a strange sensation of being turned upside down, Isaac suddenly realized that the ascending streak of light had transformed into a Seven-Colored Meteor, pouring down toward the earth!
SWOOSH! SWOOSH! SWOOSH!
A meteor shower of seven colors appeared in the sky, pouring down toward the earth. After ten years, the Real World once again welcomed the return of its powerhouses!
On the ground below, everyone looked up at this shocking scene, feeling uneasy, fearful, excited, relieved, and joyful...
The same complex emotions felt by the Wilderness Humans now appeared among the people of the Real World.
From within the Seven-Colored Meteor, Isaac curiously gazed down at the world below. ’Ten years have passed... it seems the Real World has changed a great deal. At a glance, war is far more widespread, and the boundaries of power have shifted significantly.’
’But these changes are just a prelude. The real storm has yet to hit!’
The true chaos wouldn’t begin until the dust settled and the status of every powerhouse returning from the Endless Tower was confirmed.
As he thought about this, Isaac’s attention naturally shifted to the other Seven-Colored Meteors traveling alongside him. Among them, he saw many familiar faces. Most were Wizards from the Wilderness Dungeon; clearly, like Isaac, they had not chosen to stay behind.
Although Tier Four Wizards were qualified to embark on the path to greatness, not just any Tier Four Wizard was qualified to take that final step. Thus, Isaac wasn’t particularly surprised that they hadn’t chosen to stay.
It was a few other familiar faces that surprised him, however...
First was Angel, the Time Witch who possessed the [Original Scripture] Chronicles of Time. During her time in the Endless Tower, she had successfully advanced to Tier Four, an achievement of extraordinary significance for her.
Witches were uniquely blessed and possessed exceptional power.
But this power did not come without a price. Besides the ruin and death that came from losing control of their power, they also faced greater difficulty when advancing. Most Witches would get stuck at the threshold between Tier Two and Tier Three, and this obstacle could last a lifetime!
Even a Witch who possessed a top-tier magic like an [Original Scripture] could only smoothly advance to Tier Three. But that was her limit. Like other Witches, she would then face the insurmountable barrier of Tier Four!
Furthermore, because the [Original Scripture] was too powerful, breaking through would be even more difficult for her than for other Witches. Theoretically, she should have been stuck at Tier Three for her entire life. This was one of the reasons the Empire had agreed to the Witch Country’s proposed Trial in the first place.
Every [Original Scripture] Witch was destined to rise, especially a Time Witch like Angel who could freely alter the past. Her rise was a certainty. In a sense, her very Existence transcended the timeline.
But...
Her rise was destined, but it was not supposed to be now!
’The process was destined to be a long one... assuming no surprises.’
Clearly, the Endless Tower was just such a surprise. Having advanced to Tier Four, Angel would be incredibly powerful!
’No, not just her. The entire Witch Country has grown much stronger!’
Isaac’s pupils contracted slightly. Among the Seven-Colored Meteors falling in the direction of the Witch Country, he sensed auras similar to the [Original Scripture] held by Angel in three of them!
’Three Tier Four [Original Scripture] Witches!’
’That kind of power... is a little over the top...’
Isaac merely glanced in their direction before turning his attention away. It wasn’t his concern; he had no grudges against the Witch Country. In fact, he had good relationships on that front, both with his sister-in-law and with Angel. Their rise to power had little impact on him.
The real impact was on the Empire’s side...
Compared to the Witch Country, which had quietly amassed a fortune, the Empire’s situation was far more tragic...
Not only were the falling Seven-Colored Meteors sparse, but their quality was also quite average. Looking out, there were only twenty-seven Tier Five streaks, but only six of them were explicitly affiliated with the Empire!
Not even a fraction of the whole!
And they were all Knights, without a single Wizard among them!
That’s right, no Wizards. Princess Philo had failed as well.
Like Isaac, she had used a Miracle Lampwick to reach Tier Four before entering, planning to gamble on her chances in the Endless Tower. After all, if she succeeded, she would have a high chance of becoming a Demigod in a very short time. At that point, the Terra Empire’s crisis would naturally be resolved.
Unfortunately, while her Trial wasn’t as unique as Isaac’s and she wasn’t a lone wolf like him—even with a host of powerhouses assisting her—the Empire was simply targeted too heavily.
Coupled with the inherent difficulty of the Trial mission itself, she failed to advance to Tier Five.
The same was true for Prince Norns. After changing worlds, his followers were eliminated one by one. Although he ultimately survived, he failed to complete his Trial mission and did not advance.
’The Terra Empire is done for.’
’At the very least, it can no longer maintain its title as an Empire. It doesn’t matter how many backup plans the Emperor had prepared, or whether the Empire still has a Demigod left...’
As his thoughts drifted, the Seven-Colored Meteor that was Isaac’s Incarnation descended toward his territory along with two others. Those were Smith and the Dragon Witch Lola, who had already completed their advancements.
Compared to the Trial for Tier Four, the one for Tier Three was clearly much easier. Not to mention, both of them were among the best of the Tier Threes; a mission like that posed little difficulty.
Upon returning to his territory, Isaac didn’t immediately ask Smith and Lola about their experiences and gains. Instead, he began looking through the intelligence report Liu Li handed him. He needed to understand what had happened in the Real World over the past few years and combine that with the information on the powerhouses he had just gathered to assess the coming situation.
However, Isaac had just sat down and hadn’t even had a chance to look at the report when he felt a monumental aura appear in the direction of the Imperial Capital, brazenly displaying its Sense of Presence to the world!
Isaac frowned. Just as he was wondering what was happening, a piece of information like a world announcement flowed into his mind...
[Mistton Saint Terra assisted the Flesh Sect, the Silver Council, and the Star Council in hunting five Outer Gods, and sacrificed himself to gravely wound the Master of Billions of Flesh. Therefore, the Terra Empire cannot be destroyed by any means for the next five hundred years.]
A single, simple sentence, yet it made Isaac’s expression change drastically. As a party in conflict with the Terra Empire, he could clearly feel a rule materialize out of thin air and bind him. Under this rule’s restriction, he was unable to perform any action that would lead to the destruction of the Terra Empire!
’He actually changed the rules of reality itself!’
’And such a vague one at that!’
Although he didn’t know the upper limit of its restriction, judging by the lack of any specific clarification in the message, it was highly likely that even Tier Six beings would be bound by it!
Isaac sucked in a sharp breath. He once again gained a profound understanding of the powerhouses of this world. ’Truly terrifying...’
However, as shocking as this information was, the Terra Empire’s fate was already sealed. They wouldn’t be destroyed, but they wouldn’t be strong either. Even if they still had a Tier Six Demigod, as Isaac had previously guessed, it was unlikely they could maintain their status as an Empire.
The reason was simple: the Empire had lost too many powerhouses this time.
For an empire, a supreme powerhouse like a Demigod was important, but not *that* important...
Isaac opened the intelligence report and began to read. Sure enough, just as he had predicted, there would be no Terra Empire in the future...
The reason was that the Empire originally had three Dukes, each with their own duchy. Based on the intelligence, he could infer that at least two of them would now declare independence. Below these Dukes was a large batch of their own Counts, Viscounts, and Barons. In a chain reaction, at least half of the Empire’s territory would be partitioned off!
Moreover, as the saying goes, "when a tree falls, the monkeys scatter." Once these great nobles left, the other Counts would surely get ideas of their own. The border Counts, in particular, would definitely seize the opportunity to declare themselves kings, carving yet another slice out of the Empire’s domain.
Would the Empire have a problem with this?
Of course they would, but that’s all they could have—a problem. They couldn’t take any targeted action because too many Tier Three, Four, and Five powerhouses had died in the Endless Tower. The Empire’s control over its regions had plummeted!
Its dissolution was only natural.
However...
Isaac stared at one particular piece of intelligence, lost in thought. ’Big Brother, you’re really this reckless?’
Three years ago, the new Count Solomon, Caesar Solomon, announced his withdrawal from the Empire and established the Solomon Kingdom!
