Wizard: My Skills Can Infinitely Break Through

Chapter 542: World Devouring, Profound Yellow's Ascension

  • Next Chapter

The World Origin lingering in the veins was directly reclaimed by the ascended World Will and merged into the vaster Sea of Origin.

Source Crystals—”fragments” created by leaking World Origin—lost the basis for their existence under the new, healthier, and more powerful world Rules.

This also meant that the path to Extraordinary advancement—obtaining Source Crystals by purging Cults and purifying Rifts—which had persisted for two hundred years, was now a thing of the past.

In response, all awakened Superpower Users—be they the Cultivators of Great Yan, the Superpower Users of the White-headed Eagle, or the Extraordinary Beings of other systems—felt a subtle change in their own Power.

The Superpower Cores within them were being slowly permeated, transformed, and replaced by a gentler, more ancient, and more systematic energy: Starlight Power.

This process wasn’t painful. Instead, it brought a sense of relief, as if shedding shackles.

They could vaguely sense that their future path was no longer about developing the potential of their own flawed Superpowers.

Instead, they would need to use Meditation to perceive, guide, and refine the Starlight Energy that had newly appeared in the sky.

This would set them on an Extraordinary path more akin to that of the Estelle World. This was a good thing, as that path was more complete and systematic.

As the World Will completed its ascension, its deal with Ian was also finalized.

Ian closed his eyes slightly, and after carefully sensing the changes, he gave an inward nod.

‘My affinity and level of authority with this world have reached an unprecedented height.’

The Sheltering Mark on Wei Song had completely merged with his Soul.

He no longer had any “Otherworldly Sense” at all, as if he had been born and raised in this world.

More importantly, access to a Cross-World Coordinate Passage had been officially granted—one personally maintained by the Level Six World Will.

This meant he could travel between the Profound Yellow World and the Wizard World with much greater ease in the future, even using this world as a waypoint.

In a flash, countless ideas surfaced in Ian’s mind, but they all shared one prerequisite.

‘This world needs someone to watch over it for me. The best candidate, of course, is my projection, Wei Song. If I do that, I won’t be able to use my Phase Soul Weaving Technique again, but that isn’t a major issue. I have far more important things to attend to at the moment and lack the energy to manage another new Otherworld anyway.’

In the Void, the azure phantom of the World Will slowly dissipated, eventually merging completely with the planet itself.

Before it vanished, it sent Ian a wave of calm, satisfied thought, like a business partner who had fulfilled their end of the bargain.

Ian looked away, turned, and with a single step, returned to the Profound Yellow World, appearing in the sky above the resettlement zone on the Northwest Plain.

Below, the six hundred and twenty thousand survivors were still reeling from the dual shock of their world’s cataclysm and the loss of their home, their hearts a mixture of confusion and grief.

Wei Song, Li Yan, and the others had already arrived and were organizing personnel to maintain Order and distribute supplies.

Seeing Ian appear, Wei Song immediately flew up to meet him.

“You really struck a grand bargain, didn’t you.”

He recalled the sight of the world being devoured, a trace of shock still lingering in his eyes.

“Yes, this was the best possible outcome.” Ian nodded, his gaze sweeping over the dense crowd below.

“They will live here from now on. Great Yan will be responsible for their resettlement, teaching them the language and local customs to help them integrate.”

His voice was calm, completely unaffected by the recent events. “Tell them it’s alright to grieve, but they cannot wallow in it.”

“Their homeworld gave its very last to buy them this chance at survival, and to give this world a rebirth.”

“They carry the embers of the Starlight Empire. They must carry that legacy forward here. That is the greatest tribute they can pay to their fallen home.”

Wei Song sighed. “Don’t worry. I’ll make sure everything is arranged.”

Ian took one last look at the exiles, his form slowly fading until he vanished from sight.

He needed to consolidate what he had gained from this ascension and plan the next stage of his journey.

He had to continue perfecting the Wizard Tower blueprints, gather the materials for it, research the Refining of the Star-devouring Eye, and collect the rare resources of the Profound Yellow World.

And then… return to the Wizard World.
