Wizard: My Skills Can Infinitely Break Through
Chapter 512 - 361: Everything is Ready for the Corrupted World
95%... 97%... 99%...
The World Origin Fragments contained not only Rules but also immense Energy.
All of it was absorbed, analyzed, and reconstructed by the Star Core, integrating into Ian’s own system of Rules.
The Star Orbit of the Purification Rule grew brighter and its patterns more complex.
HUMMM!
The Blazing Star Core trembled slightly. The Purification Rule had finally reached Perfection.
Almost simultaneously, the two Star Orbits for "Time" and "Earth" were also nourished, their progress increasing from 55% and 60% to 68% and 75%, respectively.
Ian opened his eyes. With a slight thought, a wisp of pure white flame appeared in his palm.
The flame seemed to have no temperature, yet it made Wei Song, who was standing nearby, instinctively take half a step back. It was a "repulsion" on a fundamental level of life.
It was as if that ball of flame was "wrong"—something that shouldn’t exist in this world.
’Now that the Purification Rule has reached Perfection, even the nature of my Rule Domain has changed,’
Ian murmured to himself as the pure white flame transformed into a Light Curtain, enveloping his entire body.
The mere "existence" of this Purification Light Curtain was enough to make any Pollution Source below the Morning Star level collapse on its own.
’My Star Core Body is even more stable now.’
Ian clenched his fist, and space groaned with a CRACKLE.
If his body could "easily tear through space" right after breaking through to the Morning Star level, now it was more like "space actively avoided him."
This was a qualitative difference.
"Congratulations." Wei Song smiled. The stronger Ian became, the stronger he would become as well.
"The same to you."
Ian looked at him. "You aren’t far from the Legendary Peak yourself. Still no ideas for the Path of the Morning Star?"
Wei Song shook his head. "I am you. Trying to forge another path in such a short time... it’s very difficult."
"Let’s set that aside for now. When are you preparing to go to the world on the other side?"
Ian stood up and walked to the western wall of the secret chamber.
A huge map of Profound Yellow Star hung on the wall, with all known Rifts marked in different colors.
Red indicated those that had undergone Purification, while black meant they had not. Now, only two black marks remained.
One was deep within the Arctic ice cap, and the other was in a cave beneath the Great Yan Kunlun Mountain Range.
"In the next few days."
Ian reached out, his fingertip hovering over the two black dots as a flash of incandescent white light crossed his eyes.
"That corrupted world on the other side... I have to see it for myself."
Wei Song was silent for a moment. "Are you confident?"
"At the very least, there won’t be any major dangers," Ian replied in a relaxed tone.
"From my fleeting glimpse before, I only saw existences on the level of that ’big eyeball.’ But a world that has suffered that degree of Erosion from the Abyss can’t possibly have only creatures of that caliber."
"There are likely High Level contaminated entities, and maybe even... a survivor civilization."
His tone was a bit strange when he spoke those last two words.
Wei Song understood immediately. "You’re saying there might still be living people over there?"
"Not necessarily living people."
Ian sighed softly. "They could be twisted ’humanoid creatures’ that were corrupted, or perhaps a deformed society built by servants of the Abyss."
"But no matter what, it’s a complete world."
"Resources, knowledge, Rules... and even a potential opportunity for ’Level Five’."
He walked to the center of the chamber and pressed his hands down into the air. His three Domains—Gravity, Thermal Energy, and Purification—unfurled simultaneously.
This time, the Domains didn’t expand. Instead, they contracted inward, finally condensing into a fist-sized "miniature Star Core" in his palm.
Luminous patterns of the three Rules flowed across the Star Core’s surface, and the faint image of a Fixed Star could be seen within.
"I need to test the adaptability of the Star Core Divine Body in a highly corrupted environment."
With a thought, Ian deployed a small Domain.
The Rules within the Domain changed, simulating an extremely polluted environment. The air was filled with toxic spores, corrosive slime flowed across the ground, the Rules were twisted, and even the light carried psychic pollution.
He slowly pushed the Star Core into the Domain. The Purification Light Curtain automatically unfurled, isolating the pollution.
Ian frowned. The consumption was much greater than he had anticipated.
’On Profound Yellow Star, my Purification Domain can sustain itself by naturally absorbing ambient Energy. But on the other side, the ambient Energy itself is the pollution. Absorbing it would be self-destructive.’
’It still needs to be optimized.’ He sat down cross-legged and began adjusting the Rule Combination.
Wei Song didn’t disturb him and quietly exited the secret chamber.
He knew that the preparations to come were the crucial part.
「Three days later, in the top-floor conference room of the Management Bureau.」
Li Yan, Zhou Zhen, and the three Late Stage of Legend experts of Profound Yellow—Li Hao, Wang Chongyang, and Philip—were all present.
Wei Song sat in the main seat and pushed forward a list, not bothering with pleasantries.
"I need the following materials prepared as soon as possible."
Li Yan took it, and with just one glance, his pupils contracted slightly.
Some of the items on the list he had heard of but never seen, while others were completely unfamiliar even by name.
"A Void Stability Anchor... This is only recorded in ancient texts. It’s said to be able to stabilize a spatial channel and prevent a Rift from suddenly closing or expanding."
Li Hao chimed in, "The Great Yan Treasure Vault has three similar, defective ones, but not a single complete one."
"Defective ones will do," Wei Song nodded. "We just need to reference the structure. We can handle the Refining ourselves."
"A Rule Isolation Scroll... I’ve never even heard of such a thing."
Wang Chongyang gave a wry smile. "It says here it needs to be drawn with the Essence Blood of a Legendary Level Rune Master, and the success rate is less than ten percent. But we don’t have any Rune Masters."
"You just need to provide the materials listed," Wei Song said calmly.
The three Legends exchanged glances, each seeing the shock in the others’ eyes.
Void Anchors, Rule Level Scrolls, Rune Masters—this was knowledge they had never encountered before.
But considering the other party was an existence beyond the Legend rank, it also felt... entirely reasonable.
"These materials... do your utmost to gather them as quickly as possible. The Guardian has a great use for them."
Li Hao made a decisive call. "I guarantee we’ll have them all within a week."
"Thanks." It was rare for Wei Song to say something so polite.
