Wizard: My Skills Can Infinitely Break Through
Chapter 510 - 360: The Deal with the World Will (3)
The orders were issued one by one. No one in the conference room objected.
Because everyone understood that the times had changed.
From the moment Ian broke through the realm above Legend, the power structure of Profound Yellow Star had been completely reshuffled.
「Two hours later, in the plaza of the Jiangzhou City Superpower Management Bureau.」
A massive crowd packed the streets. No one had organized them; they were all citizens who had come of their own accord.
They tilted their heads back, looking toward the top-floor terrace of the Management Bureau headquarters. Two figures stood there.
Advisor Yin and General Wei.
There was no podium, no guards. They simply stood there, and the entire city fell silent.
Ian’s gaze swept over the crowd below. Millions of faces came into view, showing fanaticism, awe, hope, and also fear.
He could clearly perceive the emotional fluctuations of every single person, as if their Soul’s memories had been opened for him to browse at will, yet they themselves were completely unaware.
’The power of a Morning Star... It’s truly terrifying!’
He retracted some of his Perception, leaving only a blurry outline of their emotions.
"Everyone."
Ian’s voice wasn’t loud, yet it clearly entered everyone’s ears, as if he were whispering right beside them.
"I am Ian."
Those simple three words sent a slight stir through the plaza.
"From this day forward, I will fight alongside Great Yan in the capacity of ’Guardian.’"
"The Abyssal Rifts, I will eliminate them all. The Cultists, the Mutants, the Pollution Sources—I will leave none behind."
As his voice fell, he raised his right hand. Above his palm, a speck of light the size of a Rice Grain appeared.
In the blink of an eye, it transformed into the phantom of a Miniature Star a hundred meters in diameter, hovering over the city.
There was no intense heat, no destruction—only the pure and vast pressure of a Rule.
Everyone felt their bodies lighten as the filth in their hearts silently dissipated, their faces becoming serene.
Ian closed his hand, and the phantom of the star dissipated.
But the sight of such a soul-shaking display was deeply seared into everyone’s hearts.
"Go home," Ian said finally. "The disaster will end. That is a Guardian’s promise."
The crowd was silent for a few seconds, then erupted into a tsunami of cheers.
Some knelt and wept, some raised their arms and shouted, and some bowed frantically toward the terrace.
Ian turned and left. Wei Song followed, chuckling under his breath. "That was a truly shocking display."
"It was a necessary demonstration," Ian said calmly as he stepped inside the building.
"From now on, I won’t be making public appearances. It’s your turn to handle the ’international affairs.’"
That evening, all the world’s major powers simultaneously received a formal diplomatic note from the Great Yan Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The content was simple:
1. Ian Marcus (Mr. Yin) has officially assumed the position of Eternal Guardian of Great Yan.
2. Great Yan will take the lead in establishing a "Global Abyssal Defense Alliance." All member nations are required to cooperate unconditionally with the Rift Purification plan.
3. A global summit will be held in the capital in three days to discuss the specific charter.
At the end of the note was an attached ten-second video.
It showed the moment a mushroom cloud rose over Delhi, India, as Ian stood within a Light Curtain, raising his hand to form a sphere of light and intercept the nuclear explosion.
There was no sound, only the video, but it was enough.
「White-headed Eagle Federation. The Pentagon’s underground command center.」
The president stared at the screen, his face ashen. "What’s the analysis?"
"The Energy readings... are incalculable," the chief scientist said, shaking his head.
"Our instruments max out at Legendary Peak. His numbers are off the charts. Conservatively, he could destroy the entire military might of the North American Continent in a single minute."
"Fuck!" The president slammed his fist on the table, but he knew anger was useless.
"We’ll attend the summit," he said through gritted teeth. "But we need to negotiate terms. We can’t let Great Yan take complete control..."
"Mr. President," the Secretary of State interrupted from the side with a bitter smile.
"Do you really think... we have any bargaining chips?"
The command center fell deathly silent. Indeed, what bargaining chips did they have?
When a single person is a walking cataclysm, all political maneuvering, military deterrence, and economic sanctions become a joke.
「European Union, Brussels Headquarters.」
Representatives from various nations were arguing incessantly.
"We must apply pressure as a united front! We can’t let Great Yan monopolize the conversation!"
"Pressure? With what? Can your country’s Legend take a nuke to the face?"
"We could try to contact Mr. Yin directly, offer to trade technology for..."
"Foolish. The Indians already tested him with the fall of three of their Legends. And what was the result?"
The arguments eventually died down into silence. Finally, the rotating chairman sighed.
"We’ll attend. And... we should adopt a more humble posture."
「The Polar Bear. The Kremlin.」
The Great Emperor stood alone before the window, downing the vodka in his hand in one gulp. A complex mix of emotions flickered in his eyes.
"Ian Marcus..."
There was apprehension in his eyes, wariness, and also a hint of admiration.
In a world being eroded by the Abyss, for such an entity beyond all measure to appear was, perhaps, a stroke of luck for humanity as a whole.
"Inform Great Yan," the Great Emperor ordered, turning to his aide.
"The Polar Bear agrees to attend the summit and will unconditionally support Mr. Yin’s Purification plan, on the condition that the Rifts within our borders are prioritized."
"Yes, sir!"
For three days, the world was in turmoil.
Smaller nations scrambled to declare their allegiance, mid-level countries watched with caution, and the major powers engaged in the final rounds of political maneuvering for their own interests.
But everyone understood that the bell for a new era had already tolled.
And at the center of the whirlpool...
Ian stood on the rooftop of the Jiangzhou City Superpower Management Bureau, looking up at the starry sky. On his shoulder, Gaga preened its feathers.
Wei Song approached from behind and handed him a cup of hot tea.
"The plan is proceeding smoothly," Wei Song said, briefly reporting on the events of the past few days.
Ian accepted the cup. "They should be grateful... that I descended upon this world."
He took a sip of tea, his gaze piercing through the clouds to look into the depths of the sky.
"Things are about to get busy."
’The deal with the World Will, the new global Order, and... the next step on the Path of the Celestial Body.’
’And after returning to the Wizard World, I’ll need to access higher levels of knowledge, gather resources, and build my own Wizard Tower...’
’There’s still so, so much to do.’
The night wind blew, causing his golden Long Robe to flutter loudly.
In the distance, the city lights shone brightly. The people, immersed in the joy of the "Guardian’s birth," seemed to have forgotten the threat of the Abyssal Rifts.
