Gaga was curled up there, its little head buried in its wings, fast asleep.

The little creature groggily lifted its head, its silver-gray pupils filled with sleepiness.

"Ian... aren’t you sleepy?" its childlike voice was muffled, as if talking in its sleep.

"I’m fine."

Ian said in a low voice, his fingers continuing to stroke its head.

"Things are about to get busy again..."

Gaga shook its head, waking up a little more. It blinked its small eyes and looked at the Parchment on the desk.

The dense script covering the page made it a little dizzy.

"Gaga? Wherever you go, you can’t leave me behind! You promised yesterday."

The little creature fought off its drowsiness, its small claws grabbing Ian’s collar as if afraid he would disappear in the next second.

Ian smiled and gently scratched it under the chin.

"Don’t worry, I’m taking you with me this time."

Gaga’s eyes instantly lit up, like two silver stars.

Ian watched its excited expression, a smile playing on his lips.

"But before that, you need to get stronger. At least... to the Tier Two Late Stage."

Gaga nodded vigorously, its little head held high.

"I’ll work hard to get stronger! Strong enough... to help you with anything!"

Ian didn’t say anything, simply scooping it up and placing it in his palm.

The little creature was light, its feathers soft and its body slightly cool, but its silver eyes burned with a heat that seemed capable of scorching through the darkness.

He saw the Source Crystals slumbering in the darkness, and he saw... the soaring path to becoming a Level Four Morning Star.
