Wizard: My Skills Can Infinitely Break Through

Chapter 433 - 329: Blood Sacrifice, Superpower (3)

The explosive power it contained was far greater than an equal volume of high-yield explosives.

Wei Song looked up at the dark red Crystal Core suspended over the center of the stone platform.

That was the heart of the blood sacrifice ritual, the key to extracting Souls and offering lives.

’All I have to do is destroy it...’

With a flicker of his will, he flicked his wrist.

The Thermonuclear Core shot from his hand, tracing a bright white arc as it flew silently toward the dark red Crystal Core.

The lead black-robed man finally reacted.

He roared, his hands forming a Sealing Technique as he tried to mobilize the gray-black Energy to intercept it.

But it was too late.

The Thermonuclear Core struck the Crystal Core dead center.

BOOM!!!

A terrifying explosion ripped through the underground space.

Blinding white light and dark red, bloody light intertwined, collided, and tore at each other.

The shockwave, like an invisible sledgehammer, slammed out in all directions.

The stone platform bore the brunt of the impact. The blood-red patterns on its surface instantly shattered, and dark red blood splattered everywhere, like a rain of blood.

The stone cracked and shattered, and half of the entire platform collapsed in the explosion.

A shrill wail erupted from the dark red Crystal Core as cracks crazily spread across its surface.

Then... it completely shattered!

Shards scattered like raindrops, each one carrying residual, blasphemous Energy.

All nine black-robed men were thrown off their feet.

The few closest to the blast were slammed against the stone walls by the shockwave, the distinct CRACK of breaking bones clearly audible.

Their heads hit the stone, shattering their masks and revealing faces twisted in agony.

The lead black-robed man was slightly stronger and had managed to raise a protective shield beforehand.

But the shield flickered violently in the aftershock of the explosion before shattering with a SNAP.

He grunted and fell to his knees, propping himself up with his hands as he gasped for breath.

Half of his mask was shattered, revealing the lower half of his pale face, a trickle of dark red blood leaking from the corner of his mouth.

He struggled to look up, his eyes locked on Ian.

His eyes were filled with disbelief, his voice hoarse.

"You... you just had your Superpower Awakening. How can you have this kind of power..."

Wei Song’s wrist trembled slightly, and his tensed muscles snapped the hemp rope completely.

He flexed his wrist. The bloody marks where the rope had bound him were healing at a visible rate.

This was due to his body being strengthened by the recent Awakening, as well as the fine control granted by his Level Three Spiritual Power Origin.

He walked slowly toward the black-robed man kneeling on the ground. With each step, his body temperature rose sharply.

The Stone Slabs beneath his feet made a soft SIZZLING sound. A web of fine cracks appeared on their surface, the edges beginning to char and carbonize.

He left a trail of shallow, scorched footprints.

The air around him warped more and more intensely as waves of heat radiated from him.

The flames of a few nearby torches WHOOSHED high into the air before quickly shrinking, as if their fuel had been drained.

A look of terror appeared on the black-robed man’s face. He struggled to stand up.

But the backlash from the interrupted ritual felt like countless needles piercing deep into his Soul.

He tried twice, but his legs were too weak to support his body.

He could only watch helplessly as the young man walked toward him, step by step.

Wei Song looked down at him, his eyes filled with bone-chilling killing intent.

"You said before that this was the twelfth blood sacrifice. In the eleven times before this, how many people did you sacrifice?"

The black-robed man’s lips trembled. He wanted to say something but couldn’t make a sound.

His right hand was hidden in his sleeve, his fingers quietly flexing as a faint wisp of gray-black Energy gathered at his fingertips.

The movement was stealthy, but it couldn’t escape Wei Song’s spiritual Perception.

He raised his hand, and the orange-red heatwave appeared again, compressing inward and condensing.

A second Thermonuclear Core slowly formed in his palm.

It was smaller than the first one, but its color was whiter and its temperature was higher.

"There must be many more people like you."

After Wei Song spoke, he flipped his wrist.

The Thermonuclear Core turned into a streak of light and entered the space between the black-robed man’s eyebrows.

With a soft HISS.

A finger-sized, charred hole with smooth edges appeared between his eyebrows.

The intense heat inside instantly carbonized everything.

The black-robed man’s body stiffened abruptly. His pupils dilated, reflecting Wei Song’s calm face.

Then, the light in his pupils rapidly faded.

His body slowly fell backward, hitting the ground with a dull thud.

Afterward, Ian flicked his fingers repeatedly. Streaks of orange-red light shot out, accurately striking the eight Cultists.

The air filled with the scent of roasting meat.

The underground space fell into a dead silence.

The only sounds were the soft CRACKLE of burning torches and the faint dripping of water in the distance.

The thirty-seven people tied to the stone pillars all stared blankly at the young man in the center of the hall.

The waves of heat around Wei Song had subsided, and his body temperature returned to normal.

A dusty T-shirt, wrinkled jeans, messy hair, and a pale complexion.

He looked completely ordinary, the kind of person who would disappear in a crowd.

But everyone had seen what he had just done.

He killed the Cultists, destroyed the altar, and saved them all.

Wei Song looked at the crowd and, with a wave of his hand, burned through all of their ropes.

A middle-aged man was the first to react.

His lips trembled and his voice shook, but he managed to force a smile.

"You... young man, thank you! Thank you for saving us!"

The others also came to their senses.

"Thank you!"

"You’re incredible, young man!"

"We’re... we’re saved?"

A clamor of voices rose in the silent underground space.

They were filled with the relief of surviving a disaster, as well as gratitude and awe toward Ian.

After doing all this, Wei Song gave a faint acknowledgment of their thanks.

He walked over to an empty corner and looked down at his chest.

The ball of orange-red Energy was still circulating slowly, but it had stabilized.

Like a dormant seed, it rested deep in his chest, radiating a gentle warmth.

’Thermal Energy Control, Level One Awakening Initial Stage.’

’To directly have a Superpower Awakening with no Cultivation process whatsoever... this completely violates every Extraordinary System I know of.’

’The path of the Extraordinary in this world... is truly interesting.’

’After the crisis passed, my main body already estimated the flow of Time relative to the Wizard World. It’s about 10:1.’

’There’s plenty of Time, and the Rule Fragments here are so abundant...’

’The final reward for this projection might be even greater... than the last world’s!’
