Wizard: My Skills Can Infinitely Break Through
Chapter 429 - 328: Everything is Ready, Three Worlds (2)
"I just arrived too. I’m over by the Teleportation Array," Ian replied.
"Great! Wait for me, I’ll be right there!"
The light from the sigil died down.
Soon, a deep blue figure came speeding from the end of the street.
It moved with extreme speed, like a bolt of lightning.
In the blink of an eye, it was in front of Ian.
Lucian wore a deep blue Long Robe, its edges embroidered with golden lightning patterns.
He had a hearty smile on his face, and his eyes were as bright as lightning.
"Wizard Ian, welcome to Stormwind City!"
He reached out and enthusiastically clapped Ian on the shoulder.
"I was just out wandering and decided to stop by to see the City Lord. Stormwind City truly lives up to its reputation."
Ian returned a faint smile, offering a few dry compliments.
"Come, come, let’s go to my place and have a seat!"
Lucian didn’t seem to mind, slinging an arm over Ian’s shoulder and heading toward the City Lord’s Mansion.
Along the way, people continuously bowed to show their respect.
"My Lord!"
"Lord Lucian!"
Their voices held respect, but also... fear.
Lucian gave a casual wave, not breaking his stride.
The City Lord’s Mansion was located beneath the Wizard Tower, a three-story white building.
The main gates stood open, flanked by Guards in silver armor. Upon seeing Lucian approach, the Guards bowed in unison.
"Greetings, City Lord."
Lucian nodded and led Ian into the main hall.
The hall was spacious. A deep blue carpet covered the floor, and several analytical diagrams of Thunder Witchcraft hung on the walls.
A long table sat in the center, set with a tea service and a few snacks.
"Sit."
Lucian gestured to a chair beside the long table.
Ian sat down. Gaga hopped off his shoulder and landed on the table.
The little guy curiously sized up its surroundings, its silver pupils reflecting the lightning.
"That’s a nice Magic Pet you’ve got there."
Lucian glanced at Gaga, his eyes filled with approval.
"It’s only been a few days, and it’s already at Tier Two Middle Stage. Its foundation is solid, too."
"It’s done well for itself. It hasn’t disappointed me."
Ian looked at Gaga, a doting expression in his eyes.
"No wonder."
Lucian nodded, pouring a cup of tea for himself and one for Ian.
The tea was amber-colored and steaming, emitting faint fluctuations of Thunder Element Energy.
"So, tell me, what brings you to Stormwind City this time?"
He picked up his teacup and took a sip.
"I need some resources. I’d like to make another trade with the City Lord."
Ian took three Dark Silver Potion Test Tubes from his Dimension Ring. The liquid inside swirled with the sheen of Starlight.
"Tier Three Purification Potions. Freshly refined."
He placed the Test Tubes on the table. "I want to trade them for some Shadow Crystals."
Lucian’s eyes lit up. He put down his teacup, picked up one of the Test Tubes, and examined it closely.
He extended his Spiritual Power, sensing the Purification Power within the Potion.
After a moment, he looked up, his eyes full of pleasant surprise.
"A Tier Three Purification Potion! This is good stuff!"
"This purity... it’s at least thirty percent higher than what’s available on the market!"
He looked at Ian, his smile growing wider. "How many do you want to trade for?"
"Tier Three Shadow Crystals. At least three."
Ian stated his demand, his gaze calm.
"Additionally, if you have high-quality Tier Two Shadow Blood Essence and Magic Potion Materials... we can trade for those as well."
Lucian mulled it over for a moment. "Tier Three Shadow Crystals... I happen to have exactly three on hand."
"As for the Blood Essence and Magic Potion Materials..."
He stood up, walked over to a storage cabinet in the corner of the hall, opened the door, and took out several Jade Boxes.
"Two vials of Blood Essence from a Tier Two Peak Demon."
"Ghost Grass, Dark Moon Resin, the heart of a Shadow Void Dragon... one portion of each. Is that enough?"
Ian glanced at the items, mentally calculated their value, and then gave a slight nod.
"Yes. Thank you, City Lord."
"Good! I’m quite satisfied as well!"
Lucian cheerfully pushed all the items over to Ian.
Ian put away the resources and handed over the three Purification Potions.
The trade was completed quickly. The two sat down again, drinking tea and chatting.
Lucian gave a brief introduction to the situation in Stormwind City.
It was a port trade city, connecting the maritime routes between the Eastern Territory and the Central Continent.
The city was home to a complex web of factions, but the City Lord’s Mansion reigned supreme.
This was because Lucian was not only a Level Three Peak Thunder Wizard but also an external representative for a major power from the Central Continent.
With such a profound background, no one dared to cross him.
Halfway through their conversation, Lucian suddenly changed the subject.
"Brother Ian, you’re a Level Three Wizard now..."
He looked at Ian, a probing look in his eyes.
"Are you interested... in developing your career in Stormwind City? I happen to be in need of a Vice City Lord."
"The benefits, resources, authority... I guarantee they’ll be no worse than what the Justice Clan offers."
Ian picked up his teacup and took a sip. The tea was warm, carrying the slight numbing sensation unique to lightning.
"Thank you for the kind offer, City Lord Lucian." He set down his teacup, his voice calm.
"But I... still have some matters to attend to within the Justice Clan."
"Besides... I’ve only recently advanced and need Time to stabilize my Rule Perception."
"For now... I don’t plan on relocating."
A flash of disappointment crossed Lucian’s eyes, but it was quickly hidden by a smile.
"I understand, I understand." He laughed heartily and didn’t bring up the topic again.
The two chatted for a little longer before Ian stood up to take his leave.
"Not staying a bit longer?" Lucian asked, trying to keep him.
"Not today. I have to hurry back to East City. Next time you’re in East City, City Lord, feel free to look me up."
"Alright then. I’ll see you out."
Lucian stood and personally escorted Ian to the Teleportation Array.
As they parted, he clapped Ian on the shoulder.
"Come back often. The gates of Stormwind City will always be open for you."
"Thanks, brother. I’ll definitely visit when I have the time."
After nodding his thanks, Ian stepped into the Teleportation Array. A light of Witchcraft flared, and his figure vanished in an instant.
"Sigh... Why stick with the Justice Clan? It’s not nearly as free as it is here with me."
