Chen Shang sighed, instructed the Golden Crow to teach Yilu how to read, and then stuffed them both into the Space Book.

Among the little guys currently under his command, Luna Xiya was the strongest, but she had already reached the maximum potential of her race. Chen Shang knew he had found the right place. He did not recklessly spread his Spiritual Power but instead sent Erya to scout ahead.

Several Eryas squatted on nearby rocks. Their eyes glowed with a pale Gold light, and their pupils reflected the Energy distribution map of the entire valley.

The core area ahead was a large, meticulously tended planting zone. Rows of ridges and lines of fruit trees should have been growing robustly in perfect order. But at this moment, this exquisite farmland was ruined beyond recognition. The ridges had been rooted up into large pits, and the fruit trees were knocked over. Leaves and fruits were scattered all over the ground, with dirt turned up everywhere.

The culprits were a group of creatures about the size of wild boars. Their skin was a grayish-brown, as rough as tree bark, and they had tusks protruding from their mouths. A row of short, thick bone spikes ran down their backs, extending from their necks all the way to their Tails. Currently, they were sprawled out in the fields, sound asleep.

Chen Shang took Yilu out of the Space Book. The little guy stood in his palm, rubbed its eyes, and looked down. Burning with anger, the small green sprout on top of its head stood straight up.

"This is the Jade Realm! Our home!" It pointed at the ruined fields below, its voice trembling. "Those damn Jia Mountains... Huh?"

Its fury suddenly hitched. It tilted its head and counted. "Why are there several more? There used to be only one, but now..."

Yilu looked up at Chen Shang with a hint of nervousness in its expression. "My lord, can you defeat them?"

Chen Shang smiled. A few creatures that had not even reached Tier One posed no threat whatsoever.

He waved a hand at Da Wa. Three Da Was silently walked into the field and directly lifted those snoring, boar-like creatures by their bodies. The Jia Mountains were jolted awake. Their four hooves kicked wildly as they let out angry grunts. But the Da Was simply gave each of them a whack on the head, instantly sending them back into a baby-like slumber.

Yilu jumped down from Chen Shang’s palm, its tiny fists clenched tightly, and condensed a small ball of light in its hand. It leaped into the air, drawing its arm back, ready to deliver a vicious blow to the nearest Jia Mountain.

The Golden Crow suddenly darted out, grabbing Yilu by the back of the neck and snatching the little guy out of midair.

Yilu’s small fists were still swinging. "Let me go! Let me hit it! It ruined our fields! And the trees..."

"Save your energy. Your little attacks wouldn’t even be enough to tickle them. This guy could flatten you just by rolling over," the Golden Crow said, tossing Yilu onto its back and flying back to Chen Shang’s shoulder with the little guy in tow.

Chen Shang reached out his hand and cast Detection Witchcraft on the nearest Jia Mountain. His Spiritual Power probed inside, piercing through skin, muscle, and bone, reaching all the way to the deepest core... and then he frowned.

Within the Jia Mountain’s body, there was a Power that did not belong to it! This Power had altered the Jia Mountain’s life form, forcing it to evolve in a stronger direction.

But the price was also heavy. This Power had impacted the Jia Mountain’s brain. Its originally clear consciousness had been turned to mush by that Power, leaving only the most primitive instincts: eating, sleeping, mating, and destroying.

Chen Shang retracted his hand, stood up, and made a judgment. "These guys... have been eroded and polluted by Divine Power, so the thing I’m looking for is nearby."

The Golden Crow tilted its head. "Boss, are you saying there are remnants of a Divine Kingdom beneath this land? No wonder these Wood Spirits can grow such highly active food."

Yilu did not understand what Divine Power erosion was, but it understood that there was something underneath. It couldn’t help but feel worried. "Then... then what about our fields? What about our home?"

"I will move this plot of land into the Space Book and take it back."

Chen Shang began ordering the Huluwas to work. With the enhancement of Da Wa’s talent, they quickly dug out the entire planting area along with a thick layer of soil.

They continued digging downward. The soil was peeled back layer by layer. Beneath the dirt was rock, and beneath the rock was more dirt. When they had dug nearly the depth of a person, hollows began to appear in the soil layers. The walls of these holes were smooth, bearing fine spiral patterns.

Chen Shang could tell at a glance that these were dug by the Jia Mountains. It was likely that this type of creature liked to burrow, accidentally pierced through the stratum, and encountered Divine Power erosion. Afterward, they stumbled into the Wood Spirit’s territory in a muddled state.

Continuing downward, the hollows grew more numerous and larger, expanding from the thickness of an arm to the thickness of a waist. They intertwined into a three-dimensional web.

Erya stood at the edge of the hole and activated its detection, and the underground Energy distribution map began to appear. The cave layer, hundreds of meters thick, was distributed with countless tunnels. However, beneath the cave layer was a blurred region.

Chen Shang grew excited. That was the residual Divine Power! Even though it was already extremely thin, it could still distort Erya’s perception.

"Dig right toward that spot!" Chen Shang commanded. The Warriors jumped into the hole and continued excavating.

Three Hourglasses later, the Ben Bo’Erbas had dug through layer after layer of rock, tearing open a gap right through the middle of the hundreds-of-meters-thick cave layer.

Just as they were about to approach their target, a massive snake maw suddenly darted out of the soil. It bit down on a Ben Bo’Erba, attempting to drag it into the dirt.

The Da Was nearby reacted even faster. Three Da Was reached out simultaneously; two grabbed the snake’s upper jaw, and one grabbed its lower jaw, yanking outward with immense force.

The dirt exploded outward as the snake’s entire body was dragged out from underground. It was over thirty meters long, with a body thicker than a barrel. Its grayish-brown scales blended almost perfectly with the dirt. It thrashed violently on the ground, its Tail whipping against the earth and carving out a deep trench.

The Da Was rushed forward, pinning its head and Tail firmly to prevent it from moving.

Standing in the distance, Chen Shang opened his interface.
