Murphy walked on the land of the Kronos plane, using his Spiritual Power to sense the differences in this plane’s Laws.

The so-called Spiritual Power is, in essence, a gravity detector derived from one’s Spirit Root.

It can perceive anything affected by gravity, such as electromagnetism, the strong force, and the weak force. It can also sense the force that exists between Dark Matter and Dark Energy—a power also known as Spiritual Power, named after Spiritual Qi.

Theoretically, the range of Spiritual Power is infinite. As long as gravity can propagate, it can be sensed.

But if its precision is insufficient, the perception becomes blurry. It’s like looking up at the sky; you can clearly see light from billions of years away, but you can’t make out the details.

And the precision of Spiritual Power is determined by one’s "God" and the properties of the plane.

On the Kronos plane, Murphy felt his Spiritual Power being suppressed.

Naturally, the spiritual vision derived from his Spiritual Power’s perception was also suppressed.

’Is this because of the plane’s Laws?’ Murphy thought.

The Laws of the observable world possess symmetry.

What is symmetry?

It means that the laws of physics do not change with time or location.

This principle clearly applies to the world of unobservable matter as well.

Simply put, the laws of physics do not change.

So, can symmetry be broken?

Naturally, that’s impossible.

In Murphy’s eyes, this symmetry had never been broken.

So, what are the Laws that Third-Level Wizards and Golden Core cultivators have mastered?

Or rather, what is the Law of alteration they have mastered?

That would be spontaneous breaking.

The laws of physics do not undergo explicit breaking at the Planck scale.

However, the laws of physics can undergo spontaneous breaking under both natural and artificial conditions.

In layman’s terms, explicit breaking is when the text of a law is amended.

One day, the rule is "drive on the right," and the next, it’s changed to "drive on the left."

Spontaneous breaking is when the text of the law hasn’t changed, but everyone spontaneously chooses to "drive on the right."

At that point, you could certainly choose to "drive on the left," but you would crash into everyone else.

In Nature, this kind of spontaneous breaking is indispensable.

It is responsible for everything from the birth of the first wisp of matter in the cosmic particle field to the coalescence of stars under gravity, the rotation of galaxies, the burning of suns, and the creation of heavy elements in supernova explosions.

It is also behind the cooling of planets, the gathering of oceans, and the combination of organic molecules in the primordial soup that ultimately gave rise to the first life.

All of this is thanks to spontaneous breaking.

It allowed the universe to gain mass, matter, and structure.

"The Great Expansion has a count of fifty. Forty-nine are used, and one tunnels away."

And that Law which allows the universe to have spontaneous breaking—or spontaneous symmetry breaking—is that very "Tunnel One."

In the world of Wizards, this "Tunnel One" is called a "Miracle."

"Chaos was the first to exist. Within Chaos, the Miracle appeared; it is the most wondrous of all things. The Miracle stirred Chaos and separated the Four Major Elements from it: the first is Earth, the solid; the second is Water, the flowing; the third is Air, the light and clear; and the fourth is Fire, the searing. Once these Four Major Elements separated from Chaos, the universe was born."

In other words, "Tunnel One," or the "Miracle," is the tool for transforming and utilizing Nature.

To put it more simply, the reason Earth transitioned from an era of low productivity to modern civilization is through the utilization of spontaneous symmetry breaking.

To put it even more simply, the application of Laws by a longevity wielder is nothing more than what one would call engineering.

But a higher civilization’s use of spontaneous symmetry breaking—such as anti-gravity or creating planets—is nothing short of the divine might of mythological Divine Spirits to a lower civilization.

Thus, the rank of a longevity wielder, before the term Golden Core came to be, was known as the Tunnel One Realm.

All this is to say that the different properties of the Laws on the Kronos plane are simply the result of a different local environment caused by spontaneous symmetry breaking.

’Not only is my Spiritual Power suppressed, but even the conversion of unobservable matter into observable matter is hindered.’

’It’s as if this world doesn’t welcome the existence of intangible beings. One must possess an observable, physical body to better interact with the world.’

’In other words, is this a world that favors Warriors?’

If Elementalization is considered a purely caster-like state, then a world where one can only fight with a physical body is indeed one for Warriors.

Of course, this didn’t mean Murphy couldn’t transform into a sword.

For the sword he became to interact with the physical world, he must make use of physical matter.

This created a problem: if a longevity-level existence were on this world, their immortality would be diminished.

Murphy fell silent for a moment, then raised his left hand.

Crimson light condensed into a thin blade along the edge of his palm, and he sliced at his right arm.

There was no blood.

But his right forearm was severed mid-way and separated.

The severed hand fell to the ground, landing in the yellow dirt. Its fingers twitched slightly, then went still.

Murphy looked at the hand on the ground.

The stump of his arm was enveloped in a crimson light.

But he could feel it.

The flesh and blood of the hand were losing their activity.

If he were an ordinary person, flesh and blood would naturally lose their activity once separated from the body.

However, Murphy’s Dao Transformation Level was 120%; he was far from an ordinary person.

Even a severed arm shouldn’t have become inert.

Unless the connection via Spiritual Power was severed.

But clearly, Murphy hadn’t severed it. Yet, the instant it left his body, the Spiritual Power connection to the arm had still weakened, with some parts of it even being permanently broken.

Just like with a normal person, some of the matter within it had begun to die.
