Wizard: Grinding to Lord of Truth
Chapter 321 - 322: The Puzzle of the Fallen Divine Spirit
Chapter 321: Chapter 322: The Puzzle of the Fallen Divine Spirit
Upon seeing these few golden, diamond-shaped crystals, Andre’s Bloodline immediately began to stir.
Then, fragments of information began to surge from his Bloodline, flooding into his mind.
This allowed Andre to understand the identity of the six golden, diamond-shaped crystals.
It was only after Andre learned that these six golden, diamond-shaped crystals were Divine Positions that he became so astonished.
Because this ’thing’ was the same kind of product as a Wizard’s Ladder of Truth—a crystallization of Power that constantly shifted between illusion and reality.
When they needed to manifest, Divine Positions and the Ladder of Truth were real.
But most of the time, the Ladder of Truth and Divine Positions were illusory.
No one could find them except for the original owner.
It was because of this characteristic that when Wizards and Divine Spirits were killed, their Ladder of Truth and Divine Positions would dissipate and vanish.
But now, these three deceased Divine Spirits had actually managed to preserve their Divine Positions.
This was something that should have been fundamentally impossible, yet these three Divine Spirits had accomplished it.
’How is this possible?!’ Andre stared at the six Divine Positions in his hand, his mind feeling like it was about to explode.
As far as he knew, even for the Divine Spirits in the Pantheon World Group who practiced the Plundering Divine Skill, assimilating a similar Divine Position was a complex process. They had to act in the very instant of killing another Divine Spirit. While the target was not yet truly dead, they would absorb them into their own body and use the Plundering Divine Skill to seize the Divine Position.
That was the only way those Divine Spirits could obtain the Divine Positions of others.
But these three Divine Spirits had been dead for who knows how many years. How could they possibly have preserved their Divine Positions?
’This... this is a huge problem!’
Andre looked at the Divine Positions in his hand, his expression suddenly growing grave.
’If the Divine Spirits in the Pantheon World Group ever found out about this method...’
’They would stop at nothing to dig the method of preserving Divine Positions out of me.’
’Even if I genuinely don’t know it, those madmen would still do it.’
’Thankfully, I hid these three Divine Remains and didn’t tell my Grandmaster.’
’Otherwise, this information might have spread through some channel unknown to me.’
’And then, I’d be in enormous trouble.’
Andre looked at the six Divine Positions in his hand, then retrieved a Divine Power Tool from the Secret Realm.
This Divine Power Tool was called the Sealing Coffin, which he had obtained from the Secret Realm before.
It was a tool left by his ancestor, Angelson, for the family’s descendants to seal important items.
After taking out the Sealing Coffin, Andre continuously poured Divine Power into it. After a long while, he had nearly activated it.
As waves of an ancient, archaic aura emanated from the Sealing Coffin, Andre carefully placed the six Divine Positions inside and then sealed it shut.
At the same time, Andre continuously poured Divine Power into the Sealing Coffin, striving to unleash its full power.
As gray, rust-covered chains gradually spread out from the body of the Sealing Coffin and bound it tightly, Andre finally let out a breath of relief.
At that moment, the Sealing Coffin had completely sealed the six Divine Positions.
Once the sealing was complete, Andre immediately tossed the Sealing Coffin back into the Secret Realm.
It wasn’t that he wasn’t interested in the six Divine Positions, but that his current Realm made it difficult for him to do anything with them.
The Realm of these three Divine Spirits when they were alive was, at a minimum, Moonlight.
For a mere Level 3 Wizard like him to meddle with Divine Positions of that level was purely courting death.
The best way to inspect a Divine Position was to infuse it with Divine Power.
But if he were to infuse his own Divine Power into them, the Power within the Divine Positions would assault his mind, twisting him from a Wizard into a Divine Spirit.
Furthermore, hidden within these six Divine Positions were likely contingencies left behind by the three Divine Spirits.
A single misstep, and he could become a puppet for these three Divine Spirits to use for their resurrection.
Therefore, until he became a Morning Star, or even a Moonlight, he would have to set these six Divine Positions aside.
Next, he looked at the Divine Power Crystals and Faith Crystals scattered across the ground, and his expression relaxed considerably.
In any world, these Divine Power Crystals and Faith Crystals were hard currency, equivalent to Elemental Crystals.
A single fist-sized Divine Power Crystal from the ground could sell for a seven-figure sum, priced in Medium Magic Stones.
If they were any larger, the price would have to be negotiated in High Level Magic Stones. They might even have to be traded for an equivalent amount of Elemental Crystals.
For one the size of a human head, it would have to be exchanged for even more precious treasures.
Right now, besides the physical body of the Life Spirit God, there were thirty to forty Divine Power Crystals and Faith Crystals the size of human heads on the ground before Andre, and countless more that were smaller.
Andre looked at all of this, then placed the Life Spirit God’s body into the Secret Realm. Next, he cleared out the space in a Storage Ring and put all the Divine Power Crystals and Faith Crystals inside.
Afterward, Andre picked up the scroll that the three Divine Spirits had created with the last of their Divine Power.
Andre looked at the brilliantly golden scroll in his hand and gave it a hard pull.
To his surprise, he couldn’t unroll the scroll.
Disbelieving, Andre tried pulling a few more times, but the scroll still wouldn’t open.
’Does this also need Divine Power to open?’
Andre began to infuse Divine Power into the scroll and then pulled again.
This time, he unrolled the scroll with ease.
As Andre unrolled the scroll, scene after scene drifted out from it and settled into his mind.
Looking at these images, Andre began to understand why the three Divine Spirits had perished in this World Group.
The first image was a field of Golden Light. Upon closer inspection, one could see that this Golden Light was being emitted by one golden warship after another.
’These are the Divine Warships used by the Divine Spirits during the expeditions of the All Gods.’
Andre looked at this first image, nodded, and then turned his attention to the second.
The second image depicted the Divine Warships traversing space one by one, arriving at a mysterious World Group.
Andre looked at the third image, but as he did, he realized something was wrong.
’Wait a minute! This World Group... it’s not the same one I’m in, is it?’
Andre blinked, looking at the third image.
The third image depicted an incredibly magnificent scene.
Worlds of various levels formed a miniature river of stars, appearing before the Divine Warships.
Even as a miniature river of stars, this World Group still contained hundreds of worlds.
But the world he was currently in had no connection to a river of stars whatsoever.
To verify this thought, Andre had Wei Xing bring up the star chart and began to make a comparison.
