Chapter 1407: Chapter 1407: Nothing to Be Ashamed Of

Could it be that Young Madam plans to divorce Young Master?

If so, this issue is quite serious.

Olly was so anxious that her brow furrowed deeply, continuously speaking in defense of Matthew Saxon: "Young Madam, Young Master hasn’t betrayed you. He sent that woman away right after you left; as soon as Young Madam was gone, Young Master had her sent away."

Scarlett Yates merely smiled lightly: "Olly, go back, it’s cold outside. I’m leaving, and if your Young Master asks, just tell the truth."

After speaking, she rolled up the car window, turned her head, and softly said to Knox Simmons, "Let’s go."

How could Matthew Saxon really be waiting for her to return?

If he truly cared, truly wanted to hold onto her, Olly wouldn’t be the one to come out.

Even Olly’s appearance had nothing to do with him.

Though she didn’t know why Matthew sent that woman away, she was certain it had nothing to do with her.

He didn’t send her away for her.

Just because she wouldn’t apologize to that woman, he flew into a rage. In such a situation, that woman was far more important than her.

Some things can’t be thought about— the more you think, the more pathetic and disappointed you feel.

Her heart still throbbed with sharp pain, causing her to furrow her brows, feeling both sour and bitter inside, her mouth filled with a taste of bitterness.

She didn’t want to leave.

No matter how hateful Matthew Saxon became after losing his memory, she still cared for him, still liked him.

But why was he forcing her to take that step?

Scarlett Yates’ eyes were swollen and sore, having cried so much that they ached.

She bit her lip hard, turning her head to the other side, afraid Knox Simmons might see.

Unexpectedly, though Knox Simmons seemed focused on driving seriously, her every move was within his gaze.

"Scarlett, if you’re feeling upset, just cry," Knox Simmons turned his head and glanced at her, speaking softly and gently, "In front of me, you don’t have to hold back. Crying because of emotional hurt is not embarrassing. Think back to when I broke up with my first love— I cried heartbrokenly for three days and nights, almost cried my eyes blind. Compared to me, this is nothing."

Scarlett Yates was originally sad, her mood somber, but being comforted by Knox Simmons like that, she immediately burst into laughter.

Knox Simmons raised his eyebrows seeing her finally smile, unable to resist curling his lips into a subtle smile as he continued teasing her: "Baby Scarlett, what are you laughing at? Though men like me, with extraordinary charm, are adored by women since childhood, what man hasn’t had a first love or something like that? Thinking back really makes one reminisce about those pure and beautiful times, that type of love back then...tsk..."

As he spoke, his long, slender Peach Blossom Eyes squinted as if genuinely reminiscing, his mouth even humming out a line: "That love back then, why was it so simple..."

A treasure, a truly living treasure.

Someone like him, a playboy who had countless women around him, would reminisce about first love, even acting as if it was a real regret.

Scarlett Yates wiped away tears of laughter from her eyes, sniffed, turned her head to look at him, curling her lips into a smile and asked: "Are you sure it was heartbroken crying for three days and nights, and not turning around to find new company?"

From Knox Simmons’ words, how many are the truth?
