Chapter 1404: Chapter 1404: He’s Just an Old Sly Devil
When Knox Simmons called Olly "Reddy," Scarlett Yates couldn’t help but twitch her lips twice, holding back a belly full of laughter.
"Not Reddy?" Knox raised an eyebrow, then smiled again, "Olly and Reddy aren’t that different, are they?"
Olly stomped her foot, her gaze more resentful, biting her lip as she complained, "How can they be the same? They’re clearly different names. Young Master Knox clearly doesn’t keep me in mind."
Knox furrowed his brow again, then said earnestly, "Little girl, I wish I could keep you in mind, but my heart is already occupied by others. Unless you queue up and wait for a spot, I’ll fit you in later."
Olly’s gaze grew even more resentful...
Scarlett felt like she was about to cry from Knox’s teasing.
"Young Master Knox, you’re bullying me." Olly bit her lip, her mouth pouting so high, you could hang a soy sauce bottle on it.
Joking aside, Knox had enough of teasing her and his face suddenly changed, the previously smiling face now expressionless: "Olly, what are you doing out here?"
Only then did Olly remember her purpose for coming out here. She stepped forward a few paces, her eyes fixed straight on Scarlett, and said, "Young Master Knox, what do you mean by this? Are you going to take Young Madam away?"
"If I don’t take her, should I leave her here to freeze to death?"
Regarding this matter, Knox couldn’t maintain his manners, his face darkened, his tone grew cold: "It’s good you came out. Go back and tell your Young Master, I’m taking her away. He doesn’t cherish her, but I do. And don’t forget to tell him, he’s nothing but an Old Sly Devil."
"Young Master Knox, you... what kind of joke is this? How dare I say such things to the Young Master."
Old Sly Devil?
She could guarantee if she relayed this word-for-word, the Young Master would be furious beyond measure.
"I don’t care whether you dare or not, the point is I’m taking her. If Matthew Saxon can do such outrageous things now, he shouldn’t expect sweetie Scarlett to forgive him so easily; he can wait and regret it slowly in the future."
"Young Master Knox, wait..."
Seeing Knox ready to leave after his sharp words, Olly hurriedly trotted after him: "Young Master Knox, if you want to take Young Madam away, shouldn’t you ask if Young Madam agrees first?"
Before Knox could speak, Olly hastily recited her prepared speech: "Young Madam, it was the Young Master who sent me out. The Young Master said that even if Young Madam is angry, you shouldn’t disregard your own well-being. You can give him the silent treatment or whatever, but just agree to return first."
"Moreover, the Young Master said the other woman has already been sent away. He never intended to do anything with her; he just brought her back in a fit of anger to irritate you."
"The Young Master didn’t touch her at all; otherwise, why would he send her away so late at night?"
In truth, Olly wasn’t sure if Matthew Saxon had touched that woman.
But in this critical moment, she had to say it this way; otherwise, how could she persuade Scarlett to stay?
Who would have thought Knox would intervene like this?
"Young Madam, the Young Master cares about you; he’s very worried about you. Young Madam, no matter what the grievance, isn’t it said that couples fight at the head of the bed and reconcile at its end? Please go back with Olly first, the Young Master knows he was wrong."
