Chapter 1386: Chapter 1386: She Doesn’t Appreciate It

"Young Master Saxon, this..." The woman in the red dress hesitated for a few seconds and spoke timidly, "The Young Madam is really leaving. It’s so cold outside, in the middle of the night, it’s dangerous for her to go out alone. Even if she’s arguing with Young Master Saxon, she shouldn’t be so stubborn. Young Master Saxon already gave her a chance to back down, but she won’t take it. Her temper... it’s truly terrible."

The woman seemed to be worried about Scarlett Yates, but in reality, she was fueling the flames.

Sure enough, after her words, Matthew Saxon’s expression turned even darker.

The woman in the red dress continued to stoke the flames, saying, "Marry a wise wife they say, but with such a bad temper, what man can endure it? Young Master Matthew’s temper is good, he keeps giving her chances. Sadly... you’re kind-hearted, but she doesn’t appreciate it."

The woman’s words successfully ignited the fire in Matthew Saxon’s heart even more.

He turned his head, casting an icy and piercing glare at the woman, his cold eyes made her shiver immediately.

Her face slightly changed color, and being watched with Matthew Saxon’s keen gaze made her uncomfortable. She bit her lip and retracted a face full of triumph and arrogance, speaking timidly, "Young Master Saxon..."

Had she said something wrong?

Didn’t he dislike his wife?

If he truly liked her, how could he bring her back home like this?

She was merely voicing his displeasure to vent his anger, yet he glared at her fiercely.

Though she felt some resentment in her heart, she dared not voice her dissatisfaction and quietly grumbled instead.

Matthew Saxon merely glared at her coldly, said nothing, soon withdrew his gaze, and looked upstairs.

The woman in the red dress could see his displeasure in that glance, muttering a few words softly, and dared not continue adding fuel to the fire.

Matthew Saxon stood still, and the woman in red could do nothing but stay with him.

They stood downstairs for a while; it wasn’t long before they heard some more noise from upstairs.

"Clatter clatter..."

The sound seemed like the wheels of a suitcase rubbing against the ground.

The woman in red was stunned for a moment, raised her alluring almond-shaped eyes to look upstairs, and upon seeing Scarlett Yates dragging her luggage down, her face showed some astonishment, whispering, "That was fast, is she really planning to leave?"

She expected Scarlett Yates would dawdle for a long time while packing.

When angry, it’s easy to say harsh words, but whether one follows through is a different matter.

Anyway... If it were her in Scarlett’s position, even if she were angrier, she wouldn’t dare leave home in the middle of a freezing night out of spite.

The suitcase Scarlett Yates was holding wasn’t big.

She hadn’t packed many clothes, so she packed quickly, taking just over ten minutes to prepare her luggage.

Originally, when she moved in, she hadn’t brought anything.

Even the clothes on her were changed.

It’s hard to imagine she could move so quickly; in the mere span of over ten minutes, she not only packed her luggage but also changed her clothes and styled her hair.

As she came downstairs with the suitcase, the woman in the red dress saw her again, noting that she seemed different from the woman wearing pajamas, with disheveled hair, pale face, and haggardness she had seen before.
