Why Are the Psychos Obsessed with a Mere NPC?
Chapter 289 - 288
Golden curtains hung low, making everything outside look hazy and indistinct.
The air was filled with the lingering scent of white tea and Yulan Fragrance, mixed with a faint, sharp divine aura.
Jian Yu parted her lips slightly, breathing out softly.
She stared blankly at the ceiling, her beautiful, almond-shaped eyes clouded with a watery mist. Her eyelashes were damp, clumped together.
"Yu." Si Xu’s pale, strong arm rested lightly on Jian Yu.
He glanced at her from the side. It wasn’t a condescending angle, but his eyes still held a sense of transcendent detachment, as if looking down on all living things.
Jian Yu looked at him, blinking unconsciously.
The blink caused a faint trail of tears to form at the flushed corners of her eyes, giving her a look of tragic, broken beauty.
Si Xu’s breath hitched. He wanted more.
But his body couldn’t lie. After going for a day and two nights without rest, his legs felt weak.
Jian Yu pressed her lips together, her fingers tracing a path down his thigh muscle.
’Felt good.’
She squeezed it. "Let me rub it for you."
"Hah..." A very soft gasp escaped Si Xu’s lips. His ragged breathing carried a lingering tremor, as if he were the one who had been thoroughly bullied.
He tilted his head back, the long column of his neck forming a vulnerable curve.
Those indifferent, emotionless, glass-like eyes, which usually looked down upon the world, were now narrowed dangerously. Beneath his long lashes, his pupils were unfocused, and a deep blush spread from the corners of his eyes.
Jian Yu shifted with some difficulty, removed his hand, and began to dress herself.
Halfway through, she found her dress was in tatters and had to take a new one out from her Space Ring.
Si Xu was half-reclined on the soft couch, which was covered in intricate golden patterns. His divine, glass-like eyes were slightly closed.
Jian Yu tilted her head to look at him.
The untouchable, ethereal god now looked a bit disheveled, but the flush on his face added a breathtaking sort of beauty.
A white fleece blanket was draped casually across his lean waist, on which the pattern of a few Golden Feather doves with spread wings could be faintly seen.
The fluffy blanket formed an extreme contrast with his skin, which was as smooth as cool jade. It made the gentle halo of light around him seem even more dazzling, making him look like a jade vase that would shatter at a touch.
Jian Yu lowered her gaze and tapped open her bracelet.

A small smile touched the corners of Jian Yu’s mouth.
She pulled open the curtains and quickly straightened her clothes.
Si Xu’s arm blocked her path, his eyes filled with longing. "Where are you going?"
Jian Yu turned her head, her big eyes looking at him innocently. "You want more?"
She felt incredibly strong right now.
The more she slept with him, the stronger she got; the more she did it, the clearer her mind became.
’I’m like a little succubus.’
Si Xu’s throat tightened, his eyes filled with heavy desire. "One more time."
Jian Yu pushed him down, and a pink mist from her body quickly enveloped him.
Two hours later.
Si Xu was unwilling to let her go, but the post-coital exhaustion had drained him of even the strength to lift a finger.
His voice was hoarse. "When’s the next time?"
"I’m always available," Jian Yu said, her face expressionless, but her eyes were wide, pure, and clear.
The curve of her lips was subtle, showing only a hint of shyness and slight awkwardness.
Si Xu leaned over and gave her a deep kiss.
Finally, he kissed Jian Yu’s forehead. "Go on."
Jian Yu’s fingers curled, her lashes lowered. She thoughtfully tucked the blanket in for him.
Invisible wisps of mist seeped out from the ornate window. Her gaze fixed, and her figure dissipated.
Si Xu reached out, grasping at empty air. The faint yellow light of dusk slipped through his fingers.
He silently watched her silhouette as she used Instant Teleportation outside the window and headed straight for Zone 5. His face darkened, and his chest heaved with heavy breaths.
’This isn’t the first time, and it won’t be the last.’
Si Xu’s eyes were filled with displeasure. He spoke in a sulky tone, "Ah Qi."
"Master, I’m here." Ah Qi flew out gently, its feathers tinged with golden light.
It landed on Si Xu’s hand, tilted its head, and cautiously nuzzled his fingertips. "Master, I told you the baby could handle it."
’Last time, Master said the baby wouldn’t be able to take it. But from what I can see, it’s clearly Master who can’t take it. No wonder during those few days before, they’d stop every half hour for a half-hour break. They only went at it seven or eight times a night. During that time, for several days, the baby was in a deep slumber, while Master had the broken air of someone who had been completely plundered.’
Ah Qi could sense its master’s sadness.
It offered comfort, "She is still yours, Master."
’She’s just not *only* Master’s anymore.’
Si Xu’s expression was cold and detached. He lowered his head slightly, his long lashes casting a faint shadow.
He lay back on the couch, his golden hair fanning out, his pupils unfocused.
The satiation deep in his heart didn’t stem from pleasure, but rather from a long process of self-sacrifice.
’The fading marks on Jian Yu’s body... was she hiding them before, or...’
"She seems to have gotten stronger," Si Xu said, his arm falling limp.
Ah Qi spread its wings and flew from his fingertips.
In a soft voice, it began to recite from a holy scripture.
The pure, ethereal sound flowed slowly through the heart, as if it could wash away all dust and clamor.
Si Xu closed his eyes. Looking at last like a god who had exhausted himself and fallen to the mortal world, he appeared both divine and decadent.
It wasn’t that he was unsatisfied.
He was just a little jealous.
...
Jian Yu left the chapel and passed through a lecture hall.
Passing by the Task Management Bureau, she heard Lu Qi’s voice and hesitated, stopping in her tracks.
Lu Qi was questioning angrily, "They all get a thirty percent deduction, so why is mine fifty percent? They can redeem their points, so why can’t I? Are you discriminating against me?"
"Student, if you keep spouting this nonsense, I’ll have to throw you out." The clerk in charge of distributing rewards, Zhao Yun, glanced up sideways, toying with a bureau emblem in her hand.
She looked back down, not even bothering to lift her eyelids. "I said no, and I meant it. Please leave immediately."
Lu Qi held back his anger. "My team submitted our items together. Whatever treatment the members of Team 15 get, I should get the same. I’m part of Team 15. The deduction rate for the first-place team is thirty percent. That’s the bureau’s rule. If you don’t give it to me, I’ll file a complaint against you."
"Student, are you kidding me?" Zhao Yun’s face was plastered with a formulaic, fake smile. "Complain about me? Hah. Be my guest."
Her tone dripped with a nauseating, deliberate obstruction.
"I know you’re on Team 15, but my records show that your performance wasn’t outstanding. According to the rules, I have the right to deduct this much."
"I didn’t deduct from the extra reward for the first-place team. Even if you complain, it’ll be useless. With a performance like yours, being able to exchange for ÉV is already good enough, and you still want seventy percent?"
"I’m warning you, you’d better leave right now. Otherwise, if you want to apply to exchange for a High-level Recovery Potion, I’ll have to re-evaluate your request."
Lu Qi’s eyes were red. "I risked my life for that! Even if my Level is low, and my performance was the worst on Team 15, I’m still a member of Team 15! You have no right to deduct fifty percent!"
His voice was hoarse, and his shoulders trembled with anger. "I’m not a new student. I know the Task Management Bureau’s regulations. You’re spouting bare-faced lies! You’re clearly trying to pocket it for yourself!"
