The day of the thesis report re-evaluation meeting quickly arrived.

The college attached great importance to this meeting, specifically choosing the large conference room on the third floor of the Psychology College.

Five nameplates were arranged in sequence on the review panel, three of which Nan Zhubin recognized: Teacher Waterpot, Teacher Warm Clothes, and Bi Yanling, who had appeared during the initial review, along with two new teachers that Nan Zhubin didn’t know.

It’s worth noting that the one sitting in the most prominent front-center seat was not Teacher Waterpot as before, but an unfamiliar name to Nan Zhubin.

The teachers arrived quickly as well; five minutes before the re-evaluation meeting started, all five of the review teachers were already present. On the contrary, there were only a few students.

The conference room was larger than the previous classroom, yet even fewer people filled it, making it appear exceptionally sparse.

"You’re here," as Nan Zhubin surveyed the room, Shi Qianqian walked in with a few junior students from their project group, sitting next to Nan Zhubin.

"Senior sister." Nan Zhubin first greeted Shi Qianqian.

Shi Qianqian glanced around the conference room and chuckled lightly: "Indeed, there are not many people."

Then Shi Qianqian explained to the junior students beside her: "There are originally few people who need the thesis report re-evaluation, and the college hasn’t made much announcement about it. Those coming, either are students needing the re-evaluation or were privately asked by their tutor to come and learn."

Nan Zhubin nodded slightly and then heard Shi Qianqian say: "As for me..."

Shi Qianqian gazed silently at Bi Yanling, who was playing with her cellphone impatiently in the front row: "After working so hard, of course, I have to come and see the fruits of my efforts."

The Outer Disciples didn’t understand this remark, only Mo Kai’s lips twitched and finally curved upward uncontrollably.

"Speaking of which, the work went really smoothly this time." Shi Qianqian mumbled softly, "I initially thought we’d need Dahui to come back and help, but surprisingly, we finished the huge workload much earlier..."

It was quite coincidental that we could use this thesis report re-evaluation meeting. Otherwise, we’d have to go through regular reporting procedures, and in that case, the reporting risks Weng Pinting mentioned couldn’t have been avoided.

Seeing Shi Qianqian’s mouth curl up uncontrollably as well, Nan Zhubin suddenly pointed to the center of the front review panel: "Who is that teacher?"

Shi Qianqian gazed intently and then chuckled lightly: "That’s our vice dean; he’s normally quite busy with administrative work — since he’s come, the college indeed values this re-evaluation."

As for why it’s important, the answer is self-evident.

"Everyone’s here." A familiar voice sounded behind, and Nan Zhubin turned to see Bai Qinghua.

"Teacher." *n. The students greeted respectfully.

In the quiet conference room, the commotion was very noticeable. The vice dean at the center of the front review panel immediately stood up.

Because Bai Qinghua chose to sit with the students, the vice dean took a significant detour because of it.

"Old Bai, you’re here."

"Yes."

Shi Qianqian took the lead in greeting: "Hello, teacher."

"Hello, hello. All of you are from Old Bai’s project group, right? All good students," the vice dean said with a chuckle.

He glanced at the seated students, not bothering much about discretion, cleared his throat, and said: "Old Bai, about today’s thesis report, the dean instructed me personally."

Bai Qinghua was very polite: "Sorry to trouble you to make the trip."

"It’s no trouble at all. We’re all in the field of education; how can we say dealing with student affairs is troublesome?"

The vice dean, as if introducing, said: "The main purpose of today’s meeting is to rerun through some topics from the previous round of thesis report sessions that need further confirmation. The college values the fact that learning and research should not be hindered due to any part of this process."

"When it comes to the thesis defense, the review teachers also attach great importance, so they offer opinions based on their expertise. Some opinions are highly advanced, and it might indeed seem a bit strict on the students. But in terms of master’s graduation standards, most students are fine."

The wide conference room carried the vice dean’s voice far, as if he were not only addressing Bai Qinghua.

Nan Zhubin saw Bi Yanling in the front row turn her head.

The smile on the vice dean’s face barely changed with his words, remaining cordial and amiable: "You don’t need to worry too much for your students; I’ve reviewed all the reports submitted by the students, and everyone has taken it seriously. There won’t be any major issues."

He patted Bai Qinghua’s shoulder: "Look at you, coming all the way here. You really don’t need to worry so much."

He emphasized: "There won’t be any problems."

Bai Qinghua nodded and also smiled along with the vice dean: "Then that’s good."

This response seemed to convey some positive signal to the vice dean, and Nan Zhubin sensed the vice dean’s smile finally relaxed a bit, becoming more genuine.

As if completing a significant task, the vice dean then extended an invitation for Bai Qinghua to go to the front panel, but Bai Qinghua declined, the vice dean invited again, and Bai Qinghua declined again, stating he had matters to discuss with the students.

Only then did the vice dean return to the front of the conference room.

Nan Zhubin observed that Bi Yanling’s gaze followed the vice dean’s direction. Once the vice dean returned to his seat, she turned her attention back to Bai Qinghua.

Her expression initially tensed slightly, her lips pursed unconsciously, as if a thin layer of something was being pressed down, then gradually relaxed.

"Ha." Nan Zhubin heard a light laugh behind him.
