While Everyone Panicked, I Upgraded My Raft
Chapter 93: Positioning Card Activated, Enabling Raft Combat Mode
Chapter 93: Chapter 93: Positioning Card Activated, Enabling Raft Combat Mode
After leaving Glimmerstone Isle, Rowan Rhodes continued to harvest resources from the ocean. After all, everything on the raft could now run automatically; she only needed to set the required production quotas.
Ironically, Rowan’s biggest headache was having too many resources on hand. Whether she kept them in the Storage Box or listed them in the Sea Survival Shop, both storage methods presented problems. The Storage Box took up too much physical space, while the Sea Survival Shop made it easy for other players to peek at her reserves.
She figured that once the resources from the abandoned aircraft appeared in the shop, it was highly likely that many would guess Glimmerstone Isle housed an aircraft wreckage. This would make it all too easy for players to track her movements. More importantly, it could incite greed. When the stakes were high enough, people were easily driven to madness. While she wasn’t afraid of trouble, she had no desire to court it. Besides, it always felt weird to have her entire inventory exposed for everyone to see.
Fortunately, she would soon reach the island containing Space Stones. The island with Space Stones was known as Void Isle, one of the islands in the fourth batch. After the third island, the number of islands would skyrocket; there were at least ten in this stretch of the sea alone. A player only needed to explore one of them to progress, and Void Isle was one of those options.
In her past life, Void Isle was the only one she had visited from the fourth batch. Back then, she had followed the crowd, assuming that the further the mileage, the richer the resources. Since they only needed to pass through a single island anyway, she hadn’t paid much attention to the others, figuring the resources would be roughly the same. It was only later that she realized the resources varied wildly. By the time they discovered this truth, many players had already passed the point of no return.
Even when the benefits of exploring multiple islands became apparent and most players chose to take their time, some still prioritized speed. They charged relentlessly forward, choosing to cross the Shallow Sea Region and enter the Coastal Waters Region. Because of this, a significant number of players entered the Coastal Waters Region completely unprepared, leading to massive casualties. Most of these players had been robbed and killed because of one crucial factor: their raft levels. Rowan had considered this earlier, but it was at the forefront of her mind now because she would soon face this very challenge.
Furthermore, she intended to explore *every* island. As always, her goal was to gather enough information to piece together the hidden lore of the Sea Survival Game. In her eyes, the massive reward the Sea Survival Game later offered to the first player to enter the Coastal Waters Region was nothing more than bait. It was as if the Sea Survival Game didn’t want players lingering in the Shallow Sea Region, so it used bait to lure the greedy ones in first, thereby forcing everyone else to follow suit. It all came back to the rules!
Regardless, she was absolutely going to explore them one by one, and she would strive to do it ahead of the other players. In this life, she refused to be passively dragged into the Coastal Waters Region without any preparation.
Exhaling softly, Rowan pulled out the location map for the sunken shipwreck. She planned to first assess the distance between Void Isle and the shipwreck. After all, Void Isle had Space Stones, which could upgrade her inventory backpack. Expanding her backpack was exactly what she needed right now; keeping her resources physically on her person brought her far more peace of mind!
Just as Rowan was about to investigate, a window suddenly popped up on her control panel.
[Global Server Notification: Player Aaron Tuttle has used a Positioning Card to enter the sea region of player Miles Zeller. As the first player to use a Positioning Card, he is awarded Bronze Treasure Chest x1.]
[Global Server Announcement: Positioning Cards have been activated. The Sea Survival Game has unlocked new gameplay modes. Players may now engage in cooperative combat or fight against each other to plunder resources and sea territories. Please stay safe.]
[Global Server Announcement: Detected that Positioning Cards are now unlocked. Positioning Cards will randomly spawn in the sea and inside wooden chests. Each Positioning Card is single-use.]
The moment these three global messages appeared, they instantly detonated across the entire game. Naturally, the District 122 world channel was no exception—it completely exploded.
"Holy crap, Positioning Cards!"
"Both of these guys are top 100 on the leaderboard. Aaron Tuttle is ranked a bit higher. What is he doing going to someone else’s region?"
"What else would he go there for? Robbery!"
"My god! Hasn’t this just turned into a pillaging game?"
"This is a major reshuffling of resources."
"The big fish eat the small, and the small eat the shrimp. The winds of change are blowing."
"Does anyone know what these Positioning Cards even are?"
"No idea. Has anyone even gotten one yet?"
"How could no one have gotten one! It’s obvious they got it on Glimmerstone Isle."
"Do you guys remember the abandoned airplane? Airplanes fly over the ocean, so they definitely have maps and positioning systems!"
"Right, right, right, I remember now! Rowan Rhodes even listed a radar in the Sea Survival Shop!"
"So, the person who got the Positioning Cards in our district is Rowan??"
"She’s the number one boss on the leaderboard! Whoever she tracks down is dead meat!"
"Who could possibly beat her!"
"I think she’d definitely target the top ten players! Going after anyone lower would just be bullying, wouldn’t it?"
"As long as she has enough Positioning Cards, she could slaughter the entire server."
"Then will any players go after Rowan? You have to realize she has a massive stockpile of resources right now."
"Who would dare! They should just count their blessings if Rowan doesn’t come looking for them."
"It’s too dangerous."
"Rowan went from being number one on the server to public enemy number one overnight."
"..."
Rowan twitched her lips as she watched the District 122 world channel boil over. She had suddenly become public enemy number one? These players had incredibly flexible standards.
Shifting her gaze, Rowan returned her attention to the global notifications. What happened next was even more thrilling. Aaron Tuttle’s actions were merely an omen, as more and more players began using their Positioning Cards.

If Aaron Tuttle had only raised the curtain, the subsequent players were declaring a stark reality to everyone. The war had officially begun today!
In an instant, the eyes of countless players converged on the leaderboard. They desperately wanted to know how this chaos fueled by the Positioning Cards would end.
Meanwhile, Rowan was also waiting. As the number one player on the leaderboard, would anyone choose to target her?
