While Everyone Panicked, I Upgraded My Raft
Chapter 47: Their Master Is Really So Rich!!
Chapter 47: Chapter 47: Their Master Is Really So Rich!!
Subconsciously, Rowan Rhodes glanced at her personal stats. Her Thirst Value, Fullness Value, and Life Value were all above the passing mark. Today’s Heart of Life hadn’t been used yet. Under these conditions, it was worth a try.
The next moment, Rowan approached the cruise ship with her Iron Hammer in hand and began to dismantle it. As soon as she pried anything loose, she immediately chose to deconstruct it.
[Deconstruction complete: Obtained fragments x20, bolts x10, Hinges x10, plastic x20, iron nails x50.]
[Deconstruction complete: Obtained glass x20.]
[Deconstruction complete: Obtained batteries x20, circuit boards x5.]
[Deconstruction complete: Obtained Metal Scrap x100.]
[Deconstruction complete: Obtained Engine x1, radar x1.]

As Rowan dismantled section after section, the deconstructed resources poured in one after another. Following her initial success, her heart raced with excitement. Of course, the process drained her energy rapidly. Whenever her Life Value was threatened, she didn’t hesitate to swim back to the surface, climb onto the raft, change her clothes, and replenish her stats.
The Seagull Family had initially been a bit worried about her, but as they watched her dive into the water time and time again, returning with haul after haul of resources, their eyes practically turned into starry-eyed saucers.
Their master was insanely strong!
Under Rowan’s relentless efforts, the cruise ship was gradually reduced to an empty shell. Yet, even as an empty shell, it was still colossal to her as a single individual. Once there was nothing left to cut away, she realized that the final deconstruction would likely have to consume the entire framework of the ship. Having worked this hard, giving up now was simply out of the question.
Facing the massive framework, Rowan chose to deconstruct it without a second thought.
[Deconstructing cruise ship...]
The moment this prompt popped up on the screen, Rowan felt as though all the Strength in her body had been siphoned away. Her vision swam dizzily. Still, she forced herself to keep a close eye on her stats. Watching her Thirst Value and Fullness Value plummet to zero and her Life Value begin to drop rapidly, she activated the Heart of Life the moment it hit a critical threshold.
The next second, her stats were instantly maxed out, only to continue plunging downward immediately after. This time, however, her Thirst Value and Fullness Value didn’t break past zero, halting at 3 and 4 respectively. Her Life Value also remained at a relatively safe level.
Without a moment to spare, Rowan swam furiously toward the surface, rushing to get back to her raft. By the time she hauled herself aboard, she collapsed onto the deck, completely drained. Her vision blurred as she looked at the interface panel. Wiping her eyes, she clearly saw a new window pop up.
[Cruise ship deconstruction complete: Obtained Metal Ingots x1000, fragments x1000, bolts x200, Hinges x200, iron nails x1500...]
Since her inventory backpack was already full, the massive influx of resources dropped directly onto the raft, piling up into a small mountain. There wasn’t even an inch of room left to stand on the entire raft.
The Seagull Family had long since flown higher into the sky, staring at the scene in absolute dumbfoundment. What in the world had their master done?
Forced to her feet by the sheer volume of loot, Rowan perched on a chair to the side, taking out some food and water to eat. Once her stats recovered a bit, she looked at the bountiful harvest, the corners of her lips curling up unconsciously.
This gamble had been absolutely worth it!
If it were any ordinary player, they would have died long ago from being unable to provide the sheer amount of energy required for the deconstruction. But who told her to have a cheat-like bug? She had estimated the rough cost based on her previous deconstructions and determined it wouldn’t be fatal before making her move. If she didn’t have the Heart of Life, she never would have joked around with her own life.
However, even after fully recovering, Rowan didn’t rush to organize the resources. She still planned to check the spot where the shipwreck had rested. The shipwreck seemed like just a simple resource point, but her musings at the shop last time made her want to see if there was some hidden story behind this sunken vessel.
After crafting and changing into another diving suit, she dove back into the water. Reaching the seabed, she noticed a reef right where the shipwreck had been. Rowan had realized during the deconstruction that the cruise ship had sunk after striking a reef. But given the reef’s depth on the ocean floor, how could the two have possibly collided?
Filled with doubt, she approached the rock formation. The moment she struck the reef with her iron shovel, she felt an unexpected magnetic pull tugging at her tool. Seeing the black traces exposed beneath the chipped surface, Rowan froze in surprise.
This pile of reef was actually a magnetic iron ore deposit?
The magnetic iron ore possessed strong magnetism; as the cruise ship passed by, it must have been violently pulled in by the magnetic force and crashed directly into the reef. The people on board wouldn’t have had time to pack their belongings—they must have fled for their lives immediately. That explained why the items inside the shipwreck were relatively intact.
That was actually quite logical.
Regardless, this magnetic iron ore was a type of mineral. Although she hadn’t known its use before her previous death, it was highly likely to come in handy in the later stages of the game.
One word: hoard.
The next moment, Rowan began striking away with her iron shovel to collect it.

During the mining process, Rowan had to surface and dive several times before she managed to mine the entire magnetic iron ore deposit. By the time she finished, it was already 5:00 PM. She had essentially spent her entire day on the shipwreck and the ore.
But to her, it was beyond worth it. Originally, she thought ores could only be found on and around islands, placed there for players’ convenience. Now it seemed the ocean depths were also teeming with resources. For those bold enough to brave the waters, the resources would be absolutely endless. She decided that whenever the sea was safe, she should dive more often to explore. Finding more shipwrecks would be the cherry on top.
Rowan glanced at the Seagull Family, who were looking at her with sheer admiration, and a faint smile touched her lips. They were her lucky stars!
Right now, she was dripping wet, her skin coated in the distinct stickiness of seawater. Seeing Seabird One and the other seagulls waiting eagerly for her to assign them a task, she said, "If you really want to help, then help me organize these resources!"
As she spoke, she crafted 10 Storage Boxes on the spot. Once finished, she pulled up the anchor to let the raft continue sailing, grabbed a fresh set of clothes, and stepped into the shower room.
The seagulls immediately got to work at her command. Seabird One took charge, assigning each bird a specific type of resource to sort into the corresponding Storage Box, starting with the most abundant materials. As they tossed the resources with their claws, only one thought echoed in their minds:
Their master was seriously wealthy!!
Meanwhile, as she washed up, Rowan didn’t waste her sliver of free time, bringing up the control panel to review it.
