Chapter 44: Chapter 44: Rowan Rhodes’ "Team

District 122.

[The Sea Survival Game invites you to become a permanent merchant in the shop. Do you accept?] [Note: 50/50 profit split]

The moment the Sea Survival Game interface updated, Zelda Parrish saw this invitation.

She immediately checked the World Channel and found no one talking about it. Zelda knew then that this was targeted at a small group of people.

As for becoming a permanent merchant in the shop, was there even a need to think about it? It definitely had to do with the Equipment she crafted.

So, should she accept?

Of course.

Currently, their Trading Hall was limited to District 122, but the Sea Survival Game encompassed all districts.

As long as her production could keep up, she would only earn more.

Zelda selected "Yes."

The next moment, she noticed a new module added to the shop section of her control panel.

She could list her own items in this module. Once listed, the items belonged to the shop, and if successfully sold, the profits would go directly into her account.

After understanding the rules, Zelda quickly listed her crafted Equipment, along with some of her unused resources.

However, during the process of listing them, a sliver of doubt suddenly crossed her mind.

Was this Sea Survival Shop truly introduced by the Sea Survival Game itself?

She felt that the shop provided too much assistance to the players; it didn’t quite seem like the Sea Survival Game’s style.

Could it belong to a player?

Rowan Rhodes’s name surfaced in Zelda’s mind.

She was the first to land on Thesora; perhaps she had encountered some extraordinary fortune in the shop on Thesora.

The thought flashed by, and Zelda kept it to herself.

Even if she had suspicions, she wouldn’t breathe a word of it.

Because this was a good thing for her, and simply enjoying the benefits was enough.

Skye Schuyler also received the same message, and she accepted it immediately.

She relied on her craftsmanship to survive.

A broader market meant a higher chance of survival.

Just a moment ago, she had been planning to sell all her unused resources to the trading post in front of her in exchange for what she needed. She was particularly interested in a few recipes.

But upon seeing the prices displayed on the screen, she gave up, trading only enough to obtain the Trading Coins needed to buy the recipes.

Listing items in this Sea Survival Shop would yield far more Trading Coins!

Most importantly, the shop was actually willing to provide her with raw materials.

Why wouldn’t she accept such a great deal?

She particularly noticed that the people around her were not checking their control panels.

This proved one thing: only a select few had obtained this permanent status.

Because of this, she had to keep a low profile as well.

After finishing her trades, Skye quickly left the peak of Thesora and began collecting resources in the surrounding area, iron shovel in hand.

There were other players nearby whose gazes swept over Skye, but seeing that she was only gathering basic resources, they looked away.

As Skye collected her supplies, she felt an indescribable sense of joy.

Owen Caldwell was also on Thesora.

Unlike the others lining up to trade at the trading post, he was wholeheartedly focused on chopping trees.

Wooden Boards were the basic resource of the Sea Survival Game, as well as the foundation of the Equipment he crafted.

It was only thanks to the sun hat during the extreme heat disaster that he had managed to trade for a lot and hoard a significant amount.

So, rather than waiting for others to trade raw materials to him, he preferred to secure these materials with his own hands.

Right as he was actively chopping away, he received the invitation from the Sea Survival Game.

Without a second thought, Owen agreed.

He had no other skills besides a bit of woodworking.

This shop was open to the entire server. Since he could leverage this platform and they were even willing to provide him with raw materials, he was determined to give it his all!

Faye Sinclair was also on Thesora.

Thanks to the performance of the Abyss Worm Skin during the extreme heat disaster, she had harvested plenty of resources to upgrade her raft, which allowed her to arrive at Thesora so quickly.

After landing on the island and searching various areas, the first thing she noticed was a bouncing goat.

Since she speculated there was a high probability of an impending extreme cold disaster, she was deeply invested in items that could provide warmth.

Upon seeing the goat, she immediately wove a net on the spot and captured it right away.

After catching it, she hauled the goat up and headed straight back to her raft.

She had originally planned to return to the island to gather more resources, but unexpectedly, she received the invitation from the Sea Survival Shop.

Upon seeing that the other party was willing to share profits with her and even provide raw materials, Faye abandoned her plan to return to the island and decided to leave Thesora instead.

She had just noticed that while she was catching the goat, some nearby players had seen her and were even gradually approaching her.

She was older and on the plumper side; if she were targeted, it would be difficult for her to escape.

Especially since many resource nodes already had corresponding players Collecting and digging.

She wouldn’t be able to gather much if she tried, and she might even suffer losses.

Now that there was a new path, all she had to do was put her head down and work hard.

Sitting on her raft, Faye opened the Sea Survival Shop’s private chatbox and requested Abyss Worm Skins.

Temperature-regulating suits would undoubtedly come in handy, so she planned to make a large batch of them first.

Once she listed them when the disaster struck, it would be time for a bountiful harvest.

District 1938.

The extreme heat disaster had just ended, and the weather had returned to normal. For the players, they should have survived the worst of it.

But for Jaina Harmon, that wasn’t the case.

To survive the disaster, she had dismantled her own raft, using the Wooden Boards to trade for food and water.

Once her condition recovered, she salvaged resources.

However, it still wasn’t enough to cover her consumption.

Prices across the entire district had been jacked up incredibly high, yet she had no choice but to buy.

If she didn’t, she would die.

Having barely survived the disaster, just when she thought everything was finally looking up, a shark attacked.

She had tried to fend it off immediately, but the shark took a vicious bite out of her instead.

It made her already dire situation even worse.

She knew very well that if she kept fighting, she was doomed.

It was at this moment that an invitation suddenly appeared before her.

She agreed without a second thought.

She had known about the Sea Survival Shop when it first appeared, but she simply hadn’t had the time to look into the details.

She never expected it to send her an invitation now.

What skills did she even have to offer?

After accepting the invitation, she took a quick look. Seeing the dazzling array of food, mineral water, and other resources listed on the interface, she swallowed hard.

Opening the private chat channel, she cautiously sent a message to the other party.

"I’m in a pretty bad spot right now, on the verge of dying. Could you lend me some water, food, and bandages? I’m a herbalist—the kind with a real lineage. I know how to make medicine."

After sending it, Jaina felt a bit anxious.

But in the blink of an eye, she saw that the Sea Survival Shop had provided her with water, food, and bandages.

The moment she saw them, Jaina was overjoyed.

She hurried to use them on herself.

Once her condition improved, Jaina fought with all her might and killed the shark.

The moment she realized she was going to live, Jaina cried.

She would definitely work her heart out for the Sea Survival Shop!

District 5323.

Ian Sinclair was in the middle of a fight with a group of players.

Because he had lingered at the trading post on Thesora for a bit too long, he was surrounded by a group of players as soon as he walked away, who demanded he hand over all his resources.

Faced with a robbery, naturally, he didn’t hold back.

In the blink of an eye, he dispatched the group of players and even robbed them of their resources in return.

After the counter-robbery, he walked into the nearby woods, ready to continue gathering supplies.

If anyone else came to rob him, he would be quite happy; after all, it was essentially a free refill for his pockets.

Whatever couldn’t fit in his backpack, he simply tossed straight into the wicker basket he carried with him.

Watching Ian, the surrounding players didn’t dare make a move.

It was then that Ian suddenly saw an invitation appear on his control panel.

A permanent merchant at the Sea Survival Shop?

Startled for a moment, Ian chose to join.

Seeing that he could list items, Ian’s eyes lit up slightly, and he listed all the resources he had on hand.

It was the perfect way to free up space to continue collecting resources.

...

Every single player faced with the invitation from the Sea Survival Shop had only one choice.

Accept!

For them, it was an unexpected, pleasant surprise.

And just like that, Rowan Rhodes’s "team" continued to expand in an entirely different form.
