While Everyone Panicked, I Upgraded My Raft

Chapter 167: Chapter 152: Void Beasts Voluntarily Line Up for Credit
For the players, this trade was a boon. For the Void Beast clan, wasn’t it the same?
This was especially true for the first batch of Void Beasts who had traded with Void Beast Atticus. They were currently gleefully enjoying all sorts of delicacies. Of course, after teleporting a portion of the goods back home, they had also received praise from their clan elders. Aside from thanking Void Beast Atticus for providing the channel, they happily began sharing the news with their friends.
"I’ve got a lot of tasty food. Here, I’ll share some with you."
"Where did you get such delicious food? Oh, you traded for it with Atticus?"
"Where did Atticus get it? From its newly met mission target!"
"Is it reliable? Of course! Several of us have already traded with her. She gave us plenty of goods, even a surplus, and threw in some extra seeds as a bonus!"
"You want to trade too? Then go find Atticus!"
Similar "sales pitches" spread from various Void Beasts to their friends and relatives. Consequently, Void Beast Atticus was constantly bombarded with messages from other Void Beasts. Many of them were from clan members it didn’t even know. However, since they were introduced by acquaintances, it added them anyway. It felt like it had made quite a few new friends.
But with so many new friends came a new problem.
"Human, too many of my clan members have added me. They all want to trade," Void Beast Atticus said. "Do you have enough resources on hand?"
It knew that its mission target hadn’t been in this sea zone for long, and it wasn’t sure how long her resources would hold out.
"Just have them line up in the order they came to you! We’ll do direct exchanges," Rowan Rhodes quickly replied. "Then, explain to them that if we can’t complete the trades today, there’s always tomorrow!"
Tomorrow was a safe day. Regardless of the zone, players would undoubtedly go all out to scavenge for resources, and their agricultural efforts would also keep pace. They wouldn’t let this chance to obtain Space Stones slip by.
Currently, Rowan was facing a player base of tens of millions. Even a tiny bit of resources from each player would accumulate into an astronomical figure. She remained highly confident in her ability to meet the Void Beasts’ demands.
Her real concern was that once her resources swelled, the Void Beasts might refuse to sell by the second day. They were only willing to sell today because the day was almost over and they hadn’t encountered their mission targets yet. She had subtly gleaned from Void Beast Atticus that these creatures were sent out for both training and to complete missions. Therefore, interacting with multiple players was their main objective. Making such large-scale trades with them later on wouldn’t be easy.
Rowan only regretted the lack of time. It was all the Abyssal Sea Serpent’s fault for delaying her for so long!
"Okay," Void Beast Atticus replied.
Not long after, Void Beast Atticus spoke up again. "They agreed. However, they said there isn’t much time left, so they want to give you the Space Stones first. As for the trade goods, you can just give those to them slowly later."
Void Beast Atticus delivered the latter half of the message very casually, but Rowan was left absolutely shell-shocked.
Truth be told, she had actually thought of this method just a moment ago, but she simply didn’t dare to try it! To think that the Void Beasts would be the ones to propose it.
How... bold!
"Aren’t you afraid that I won’t give you the resources after taking the Space Stones?" Rowan asked Void Beast Atticus helplessly. "You shouldn’t be so unguarded!"
Hearing this, Void Beast Atticus looked up at Rowan and stated with the ease of Nature, "I won’t be! I’ve already locked onto the coordinates of your raft. I can find you, so you can’t run away."
Rowan was left utterly speechless. "Is it really not just being innocently ruthless?" she wondered.
"You’re a good human. You definitely wouldn’t do something like that. I believe in you," Void Beast Atticus added.
Rowan chuckled and nodded. "Yeah, I won’t. Since you’re all willing to trust me, let’s do it this way! Keep those Space Stones stored with you." After a pause, she added, "Do you have room to store them?"
The reason the other Void Beasts insisted on giving her the Space Stones immediately was their lack of time. This implied that their daily limit was ten thousand, and the count couldn’t roll over to the next day. If that was the case, didn’t Void Beast Atticus have limits too?
"It’s fine. Items obtained through these trades can be stored elsewhere," Void Beast Atticus said casually. "As for the ones I trade to you, it won’t affect tomorrow’s quota."
Rowan instantly understood. They truly lived up to their reputation as a spatial species! This also put her at ease. Without taking up slots in her own inventory, she wouldn’t need to upgrade it just to hold the Space Stones.
With this in mind, Rowan continued, "So, how many of your clan members have sought you out so far?"
"Currently, there are 2,313, and the number is still climbing."
"Then how many of your clan members came out this time in total?" Rowan asked casually.
"Tens of thousands!" Void Beast Atticus replied. "However, there are only just over seven thousand in our specific zone."
Rowan’s pupils contracted upon hearing this. Tens of thousands?
It seemed that every person on Azure of an appropriate age had indeed been pulled into this Sea Survival Game. And currently, their so-called "Global Server" consisted of over seven thousand zones. The population across these seven thousand zones was roughly over seven hundred million, which perfectly aligned with the number of age-appropriate citizens in Veridia.
The server they were on was, in reality, the Veridian Server.
Did other countries have their own corresponding regions? Would the Veridian Server establish contact with them in the future? What was the reason the Sea Survival Game separated them? Factional warfare?
Countless questions surged into Rowan’s mind. However, she quickly suppressed them all. Securing a definitive answer to the server mystery was already an unexpected delight. Her current strength was still far too removed from ever truly engaging with that reality. Overthinking it now would only invite unnecessary distress.
"Then have your friends spread the word far and wide," Rowan hurriedly urged. "Try to get all seven thousand of your clan members to join the queue."
Since they had started buying on credit, then Nature dictated that the more credit, the better. This way, she would have a massive influx of Space Stones for a very long time to come. This batch of Space Stones would trigger an explosive growth in her overall strength.
"Alright." Void Beast Atticus found Rowan’s proposal highly agreeable and readily accepted.
After all, successful trades meant their clan would gain a massive surplus of resources. Not only could they use the items themselves, but they could also trade with other clans to exchange for the resources their own kind needed!
Take the Space Stones, for example. They couldn’t just keep expending them endlessly; they needed raw materials to replenish their stock. All of this required resources to purchase. There were also materials needed for their own upgrades.
The mere thought of this filled Void Beast Atticus with motivation. It truly felt that coming out for this training was the right choice. It had learned so much!
