Soon, Zhou Chengchen followed Xi Siyan back to the company. Whether they were starting over or handling some follow-up issues, Xi Siyan didn’t have time to wallow in despair.

As soon as he returned to the company, he gathered many people for a meeting. Zhou Chengchen sat in his office, looking through the glass walls at those outside who weren’t in the meeting, and there wasn’t a single person who looked relaxed.

Even the carefree girl who used to constantly recommend romantic pairings to her now wore a serious expression.

Zhou Chengchen watched these people. Just now in the car, hearing Xi Siyan’s words, "starting over," she felt heartbroken, very heartbroken. But now, with the heartbreak fading, a surge of anger rose in Zhou Chengchen’s heart.

Dare to bully her without first understanding who Zhou Chengchen is?

Clenching her fists tightly, she knew Xi Siyan had his pride and didn’t want to rely on her strength for anything. But as for Zhou Chengchen, she was not someone who others could bully at will.

She would not be satisfied until she vented her anger.

Xi Siyan was rational; he knew what was more important, so he didn’t seem extreme, but that wasn’t her. Those who bullied her never had a good end, and this time was no exception.

Zhou Chengchen directly dialed Liu Xiaoyu’s number.

The situation was quite clear; some company must have paid Xiao Rou’s boyfriend to steal their core code. Now she needed to know who had instigated the theft.

"I don’t know; we have to wait and see which company releases a product first."

On Liu Xiaoyu’s end, there was also frustration. A glint of coldness flashed in Zhou Chengchen’s eyes. She didn’t say much, leaving with, "Take care of your injury," and hung up.

They might not know, but surely someone does, right?

Zhou Chengchen dialed Xiao Rou’s number next, but was in a call.

Just as she hung up, Xiao Rou’s call came through, evidently both were trying to reach each other simultaneously.

"Chengchen? Can you come over now?"

Xiao Rou’s voice was clearly hoarse from crying, and she gave an address. Zhou Chengchen nodded, "Okay, I’ll be right over."

She didn’t ask much. Zhou Chengchen wasn’t someone who misdirected their anger; Xiao Rou was Xiao Rou, and a thief was a thief.

However, if Xiao Rou still stayed with that person after such things, Zhou Chengchen understood that their friendship was likely at an end.

Exiting Xi Siyan’s office, looking at the closed conference room door, Zhou Chengchen didn’t disturb Xi Siyan. When she left Cheng Yi, she decisively called Zhou Qi.

Considering someone managed to beat Liu Xiaoyu like that, she prioritized safety. Zhou Chengchen would never put herself in danger.

Xiao Rou provided the name of a community, not near the CBD but closer to the university town, where Zhou Qi was nearer.

When she arrived, Zhou Qi was already there.

"What’s up? Your brother still has training to do."

Zhou Qi looked annoyed and discontented; Zhou Chengchen didn’t explain, "Come with me."

The two followed the specific apartment number Xiao Rou had given upstairs. Exiting the elevator, Zhou Chengchen pulled Zhou Qi aside, "Wait here, and if you hear a fight inside later, rush in."

"Hey, hey, what are you going to do?"

"Trust me."

With that, Zhou Chengchen pushed Zhou Qi into the corner and went forward to knock on the door.

"Chengchen..."

Xiao Rou opened the door, her eyes swollen and red, reflecting how long she’d cried.
