Because of her special relationship with Zhou Chengchen, Xiao Rou hadn’t told Zhou Chengchen that she was interning at the Zhou Family, so now Zhou Chengchen was a bit startled when she saw Xiao Rou’s message.

Xi Siyan was caught up in a big project, so Zhou Chengchen told him that she’d be leaving first.

After arranging to have dinner with Xiao Rou, Zhou Chengchen drove to the Zhou Family entrance. She didn’t go in, just looked at the time, waiting for Xiao Rou to come out.

A little past six, Xiao Rou came out in a professional outfit, quickly walking out and upon seeing Zhou Chengchen’s car, she hurried over.

"Cheng Chen."

Zhou Chengchen looked at Xiao Rou in her professional attire, which outlined her shapely figure, and teased, "Little Rou’er, who knew you had such a figure?"

Blushing at the tease, Xiao Rou reached out to push Zhou Chengchen, "Let’s go, I’m hungry."

The two casually found an old familiar spot, and as soon as they sat down, Xiao Rou couldn’t wait to tell Zhou Chengchen about seeing Chen Youran today.

Zhou Chengchen drank her tea slowly, listening to Xiao Rou.

Once Xiao Rou finished, Zhou Chengchen spoke, "Why didn’t you tell me you were interning at the Zhou Family?"

Xiao Rou smiled, "I was just sending out my resume indiscriminately, you know, with my qualifications it’s almost impossible to get into the Zhou Family. I just tried to make up the numbers, and didn’t expect to actually get in. I thought about asking you, to see if you gave me a backdoor, but then felt embarrassed."

"I’m innocent, I didn’t give you a backdoor."

"Yeah, I know."

"So what’s with Chen Youran?"

Xiao Rou took a sip of tea to moisten her throat before speaking, "I don’t know either. I’ve been interning for a while, but have never seen her before. I only saw her today when delivering files to another department."

Xiao Rou told Zhou Chengchen everything she had picked up intentionally or unintentionally.

She didn’t know why Chen Youran was at the Zhou Family, but she knew which department and position Chen Youran held.

Although they were both interns, if they became permanent, Chen Youran’s position would be significantly higher than Xiao Rou’s.

Xiao Rou spoke while sighing, "She must have sent out her resume too. After all, Chen Youran did well in the college entrance exam and her qualifications are decent."

By now, the dishes had arrived. Zhou Chengchen poked at her bowl with chopsticks, listening to Xiao Rou’s sighs, yet she frowned.

It’s true that Chen Youran’s qualifications were better than Xiao Rou’s, but even with her top university degree, getting a department manager assistant position at the Zhou Family was nearly impossible.

Zhou Chengchen might not understand much about her family’s company, but being part of the Zhou Family, she knew some things.

The Zhou Family isn’t easy to get into. If the position is low, like Xiao Rou’s, mostly doing odd jobs, maybe it’s alright.

But a department manager assistant, that’s not a low position, certainly not at the Zhou Family.

Zhou Chengchen’s eyes shifted, "I’ll check it out tomorrow."

"Hmm? Are you planning to go as the young lady? She might be scared to death, right?"

Zhou Chengchen chuckled but didn’t say anything.

She wasn’t planning to actively cause trouble for Chen Youran, but she remembered those past events clearly. Now that the person had shown up, she wouldn’t mind letting them feel uncomfortable. Otherwise, wouldn’t the misunderstandings with Xi Siyan for three years have been in vain?
