Chapter 1000: Going To Meet The Streamer (*R)

I looked around the area, wondering if I was actually getting scammed or something.

That SonicSlayer guy said that he was on the very same station that we were currently in at the moment which was quite a crazy coincidence to begin with.

But the place they told me to meet them was in a rather secluded section of the station that required me to move through a few hidden sections and was well outside the city limits of the station.

It wasn’t even in the slum area and more like the very outskirts where you would only find maintenance tunnels and stuff around here.

If I didn’t know better, I would have thought this was a ploy to lead me somewhere to kill me off or something.

Under normal circumstances, I would not have entertained this at all of course, seeing this as a trap for that guy to take out his competition, probably... But curiosity got the better of me so I decided to humour his request and follow the path.

Even if it was a trap, I should be able to handle it and I’ve already informed the girls about it so they knew where I was headed.

Anyway, it’s not like I was alone either since Renata was also with me.

I ducked my head under some steam pipes to move through another section of the tunnel.

I then reached a section of the station where it opened up to some kind of underground settlement or something.

The place had several buildings built into hollowed out walls and stacked on top of one another.

One might have thought this place to be another slum within the station if it wasn’t for the fact that the people here had cybernetic implants that looked to be quite high quality and were even dressed quite well.

The buildings here, which were a mix of stores and residential apartments, were also well maintained and had neon lights decorating them.

It made this place seem like an underground night club rather than some shady slum hidden in the station.

As I stepped towards the entrance that was marked by a set of neon lights hanging in between two metal poles, a guy wearing a large oversized coat with a chromed right arm stepped in front of me, his eyes hidden behind a pair of sunglasses.

"Now... Who might you be?" He asked.

"Sonic asked to meet me," I answered, having been told by the streamer himself to say this exact phrase if I were to be stopped by anyone.

The guy paused before reaching up to take off his sunglasses, revealing both of his eyes were cybernetic as he looked at me up and down.

There was another pause before he spoke again, "You’re really her, huh? Just go straight down the road... The building at the far end."

He then stepped aside and looked away, as though I was no longer of interest to him.

I moved past him, acutely aware of how much I stood out as I realised everyone here were cybernetically enhanced and very obviously so, while there was me without a single cybernetic mod visible on me.

Most of the people I walked past eyed me curiously as their conversations stopped dead just to stare at me as I moved down the street.

It felt almost eerie, like I was moving through a street of robots instead of people... And there were even a few of them who weren’t humans and one of the other alien species that are native within USC space.

No one else tried to stop me and I reached the last building at the end of the road unmolested.

Reaching the door, I wasn’t sure if I should know or not and paused in front of it for a moment before the choice was made for me and it opened up automatically.

Figuring that I might as well just go in after coming so far, I stepped inside the building and let the door slide back in place behind me.

I honestly didn’t really know what to expect here.

At first, I was thinking that the SonicSlayer guy might be one of those nerd types sitting in front of several giant screens with his legs huddled against his chest in his chair and a controller in hand.

Then after I got to see the street outside, I thought he might be some chromed up junkie with various different high end cybernetic enhancements built into his body while looking like some hulking mass of a man.

And that expectation also factored in what kind of place he might be staying in where the building might be filled with tech gadgets and stuff with guns and stuff but... This place looks like a normal home.

Like... I was standing in the living room right now and it’s actually quite cozy with the sofas and a simple projector for the television screen. Behind it was the kitchen area with a dining room and there was a set of stairs that went up to where I assumed was the bedroom.

And unlike the outside where it was all neon lights that were primarily neon pink and electric blue in colour... The room was illuminated in a warm orange light instead.

Also, I just want to say that the kitchen uses an autocooker and not a stove, which was one of the first things I noticed.

Well... The room certainly surprised me but the place was completely empty, making me wonder whether this was actually a trap after all.

That was when I heard voices coming from behind the staircase so I moved over to the other side, only to realise that there was another set of stairs which led down instead.

And there were definitely voices coming from down there.

No... Just a single voice... The other voices sound like they were coming from a game instead and the actual voice that was speaking... Hmmm...

They were kept carefully in constructed cabinets with lights that shone down on them, keeping them pristine and clean.

There was not just one but four of those VR Capsules that looked to be especially high end in one corner of the room but it was not being used at the moment.

Instead, there was a large screen being projected at another part of the room with various different smaller screens surrounding it.

And there, seated right in front of the screens and playing some kind of fighting game using a holographic keyboard... Was who I assumed to be SonicSlayer.

So... The first thing I noticed were the pink bunny ears that peeked out from above their head of long, pink hair. And those weren’t just bunny eared headbands but actual bunny ears that were growing out from the top of their head.

The second thing I noticed was the fact that there were two huge boobs bouncing up and down in front of their chest.

The third thing I noticed was that she was completely naked aside from a pair of stockings and heels she was wearing and she was sitting on her chair with her legs spread open.
