Chapter 333: Chapter 191: Inspiration
Seeing his expression, Xu Ran nodded in agreement. "If that’s really the case, then even a coward like me would probably dare to wander around and see the world."
Qing Xuan True Monarch turned to glance at him and chuckled. "If you really want to go out and see the world, you can just tell me. As your teacher, I can certainly take my own student sightseeing."
"Er..." Xu Ran’s expression stiffened slightly. He hadn’t expected Teacher Qing Xuan to say that. A wave of emotion washed over him as he stared blankly at the smile on his teacher’s face.
’They always say teachers dote on their best students. It seems it’s really true.’
’It seems Teacher Qing Xuan really considers me a good student.’
At this thought, Xu Ran smiled faintly. ’That’s quite nice.’
"Perhaps not now. In the future, how about I take you sightseeing instead?"
"Then you’ll have to work much harder. Your current Cultivation is nowhere near high enough for that."

When Chen Minghe returned, his physical condition was already critical. In the days that followed, he grew more frail with each passing day. However, with Qing Li’s assistance, he finally managed to compile the contents of the medical text.
The work took half a year and was credited to both him and Qing Li.
This time, Qing Xuan True Monarch personally arranged for the medical text to be inducted into the Scripture Pavilion in front of countless disciples. Afterward, arrangements would be made for its circulation throughout the Mortal World.
Seeing such a grand ceremony, Chen Minghe, who had been confined to his bed and unable to move, saw color return to his pale face. His body then seemed to surge with new vitality, and he jumped right off the stretcher the two disciples were carrying.
With a flushed face, he lifted the medical text he had compiled with both hands and presented it to Qing Xuan True Monarch.
With a solemn expression, Qing Xuan True Monarch took the text from his hands and said softly, "You have done well."
Hearing this, Chen Minghe’s eyes reddened. He replied with great emotion, "Thank you for your praise, Peak Master."
’My life was worth it.’
Then, he let out three booming laughs, his face filled with pride, before his body went rigid and collapsed.

Xu Ran sat inside the Scripture Pavilion, a complex expression on his face as he gazed at the medical text on the shelf.
Compared to the many treasured Cultivation Techniques in the Scripture Pavilion, it was merely a mortal book, unranked and without a grade.
Yet it had been supplemented by three generations of authors: first Hao Miaomiao, then Qing Li, and finally Chen Minghe and Qing Li together.
The cultivation talent of all three was rather unremarkable. Perhaps the best among them was Chen Minghe, who also had the highest Cultivation, having reached the Core Formation Stage.
Within the Sect, they were all incomparably ordinary, unable to compare to most other disciples, let alone chosen ones like Zhang Zhentian and Shen Wuchen.
Each of them had started with different motivations, yet they had all come together to complete this work.
As for whether the medical text held any true significance, not even Hao Miaomiao, Chen Minghe, or Qing Li knew for sure. They simply thought it might be of some use, and so they finished it.
Now, many copies of the medical text had been made and were being distributed throughout the Mortal World.
Xu Ran took the medical text from the shelf and began to read it in silence.
He had read Hao Miaomiao’s sections many times before, and had even added some of his own notes, but this time, he read it carefully from beginning to end.
He slowed down considerably when he reached Chen Minghe’s record of a plague whose symptoms were remarkably similar to the current affliction.
Chen Minghe’s notes on this plague were incredibly detailed, sparing not a single particular.
Xu Ran read his account; the symptoms were indeed a near-perfect match for the current affliction.
The text went on to describe nearly a hundred other plagues. This wasn’t because plagues were rampant, but because Chen Minghe had specifically asked Qing Li to fly him to over a dozen kingdoms in the Mortal World to actively seek them out.
Wherever a plague broke out, they would go. Chen Minghe would then intentionally contract the illness to experience its symptoms firsthand.
He recorded every sensation in detail, along with the inspiration for each treatment he devised, the medical theories he applied—everything was listed in meticulous detail.
Xu Ran read through all of Chen Minghe’s records on treating the various plagues. As he did, he suddenly entered a peculiar state of mind.
He realized that the key to Chen Minghe’s treatments always seemed to revolve around the relationship between the five major organs and the Five Elements, as well as their corresponding five energies.
Chen Minghe fought disease by adjusting the internal balance of these Five Elements and five energies.
This line of reasoning struck Xu Ran’s mind like a bolt of lightning. ’The five organs correspond to the Five Elements... and the world itself follows the Path of the Five Elements.’
He thought excitedly, ’If I imagine the ailing world as one giant human body, could I use a similar method of regulating the Five Elements and their energies to cure it?’
He felt as though he had finally grasped the key to solving the problem, that the final answer was now within reach.
He had considered the Five Elements and their energies before but could never find an angle of approach. Only now, by combining the theories of Hao Miaomiao and Chen Minghe, did inspiration finally strike.
This idea, born from medicine, gave him immense hope.
However, he quickly calmed himself.
’The world isn’t a human body, after all. I can’t just copy the methods from the medical text directly.’
’The biggest problem now is figuring out how to adapt the system of Five Elements medicine that Hao Miaomiao and Chen Minghe applied to humans and use it on the ailing world.’
Though a sense of urgency gnawed at him, he forced himself to remain calm and clear his mind.
Then, as he was walking and pondering on Qing Xuan Peak, he suddenly felt an oppressive aura descend upon the world. The air around him felt like a pair of invisible hands, tightening around his throat and making it hard to breathe.
He wasn’t the only one; the surrounding disciples all felt it, too. Many turned pale and cried out:
"What’s happening?"
A heart-stopping dread washed over everyone.
Then, a figure appeared on the distant horizon, radiating an aura that far surpassed even the Sect’s Supreme Elders, striking fear into their hearts.
"Is that a Divinity Transformation Daoist Monarch? Why would a powerhouse of that level appear here?"
The minds of the many disciples raced with worry. ’The Cultivation Realm has rules. Is this Daoist Monarch going to break them and attack our Sect?’
