Chapter 799: Chapter 798: He Actually Went That Far

Bella Acker widened her eyes and looked up at the stern-faced Damian Sinclair, suddenly stunned.

The current Damian Sinclair had a dark expression, and his abyss-like eyes were brimming with fury. This was the Damian Sinclair she had been familiar with before.

He hadn’t changed at all; it was just that after returning to the country, he had restrained his temper and personality in front of her.

Seeing such a Damian Sinclair, the fear that had once lurked in her heart unexpectedly reared its head.

Bella Acker’s face instantly turned a bit pale, and she involuntarily tightened her lips.

"Bella Acker, if you dare pretend and say those words again, believe it or not, I’ll take you right here?!" Damian Sinclair said, reaching out to pinch her chin, forcing her to look at him.

"President Sinclair, I’m speaking the truth, are you so domineering that you won’t even allow others to be honest in front of you?" Bella Acker clenched her slightly trembling fingers, stubbornly lifting her chin, unwilling to give in.

Seeing her gritting teeth and stubborn expression, Damian Sinclair expressionlessly clenched his back molars, suddenly lowered his head, and kissed her.

This damn woman, she always had to provoke him!

"Hiss!" Damian Sinclair inhaled sharply, releasing her mouth, and used his tongue to lick his lips, all covered with the taste of blood.

Bella Acker’s lips also had a bit of bloodstain on them; she looked coldly at Damian Sinclair and said, "President Sinclair, since you don’t like me speaking so casually, please don’t treat me this way casually either. Please move aside, I want to leave."

"Do you think I’d casually do this to a woman I’m not interested in?" Damian Sinclair said in a deep voice, "I understand what’s making you uncomfortable right now. Five years ago, when you wanted to leave, I had already figured it out. I might have to live with guilt towards my brother for a lifetime because I will never give up on you! As for my mom and dad, their attitude has loosened long ago; my mom said five years ago she wouldn’t interfere with our being together, just on the day you sent the message asking me to choose."

Upon hearing this, Bella Acker suddenly widened her eyes, "Mrs. Sinclair was so resolute, how could she..."

"Because I forced it with my life!" Damian Sinclair laughed self-mockingly, "Impressive, right? Stabbing a knife into my own mother’s chest over and over."

"At that time..."

Bella Acker stopped mid-sentence, deeply shocked inside.

At that time, she merely wanted a stance from Damian Sinclair; if he had come to see her, she would have been willing to win over and care for his family for the sake of their relationship. She was ready to cast aside the grievances with her father and was prepared to be an unfilial and selfish daughter.

But she waited for so long, waited from anticipation to disappointment, until a boiling hot heart turned cold, and he still did not appear.

Back then, she thought he had chosen to let go of her hand, so she traveled far overseas.

Five years later, upon her return, he persistently pursued her, step by step breaching the walls she had spent five years building around her heart.

She still couldn’t be harsh with him, couldn’t forget him, and unknowingly fell into it again.

If it weren’t for Aunt Rhodes’ words today striking her awake, she might have unconsciously deliberately ignored these past wounds.

The pain that felt like her heart was forcibly gouged out remained etched in her heart; could it be that experiencing such pain once wasn’t enough, that she wanted to experience it a second time?

But she never expected that Damian Sinclair had once gone to such lengths for their relationship.

He had actually really broken with his family for her!
