Warm Married Life: Mr. President Loves His Darling Wife
Chapter 748 - 747: Malicious Framing
Chapter 748: Chapter 747: Malicious Framing
Bella Acker had no idea what was waiting for her back in Creston.
That day, the crew of "Unfinished Life" finally wrapped up filming, and after a gathering, everyone dispersed.
Bella had drunk a lot and was resting with her eyes closed in the back seat.
Judy Zimmerman, driving, glanced at her through the rearview mirror and said, "Bella, drink something to feel better."
"I had a couple more drinks than usual." Bella wasn’t drunk, just feeling dizzy.
"Everyone was drinking with you; not getting drunk is a testament to your alcohol tolerance." Judy was a bit helpless too; Bella was well-liked by the crew, so it was normal for everyone to want to have a drink with her before saying goodbye.
Bella smiled faintly and opened the car window.
The cold winter wind immediately rushed in through the window, hitting her face. It was a bit chilly, but it also refreshed her considerably.
Bella pulled her down jacket closer, watching the bleak scenery outside the window retreat gradually.
She had entered the filming base in midsummer, bounced between two crews, and now it was winter upon her return.
Bella couldn’t help but sigh, "It feels like time flies by so fast."
"Yeah," Judy chuckled, "In the blink of an eye, even Talia is almost five years old. I still remember when I first met you; you were a little girl, not even twenty yet."
"Now I’ve turned into a big girl," Bella leaned against the window, smiling.
"Still a little girl, anyhow I’m always older than you," Judy said, "Don’t catch too much cold wind, watch out for headaches and colds."
"Mm, I’ll close it after a while." Bella stopped talking, leaning against the window in a daze.
Since that day when she had an unpleasant phone call with Damian Sinclair, they hadn’t contacted each other again.
This time he probably won’t pursue it anymore, right?
Bella sighed, closed the window, "Piggy, I’m going to sleep for a bit."
"Go ahead and sleep. I’ll wake you when we reach the studio."
"Alright." Bella reclined her seat, covered herself with a spare towel blanket, and fell asleep.
Without the pressure of work and feeling slightly tipsy, she slept very soundly. Only woke up when the car stopped at the studio’s entrance as Judy called her.
Bella looked at the street lights that had already come on outside, rubbed her eyes, and sat up, "When did we enter the city? I didn’t know at all."
"There was no traffic today, so the smooth ride explained why you didn’t notice. Keep the towel wrapped around you; it’s quite cold."
"No need, I feel fine." Bella tightened her down jacket, jumped out of the car, and said, "Judy, there’s nothing much here. You can go back first—I’ll get a cab home later."
"No way. After the release of three trailers and two batches of concept posters for ’I Will Not Be a Concubine,’ your fans have increased significantly. If you encountered a frenzied fan while getting a cab, Ms. Young would skin me alive." Judy laughed, "I’ll take you home and also visit Talia and Ethan."
"Talia said during our video call last night that she misses you a lot."
The two chatted as they walked into the studio.
By this time, most people who were supposed to get off work had already left, so the studio was mostly empty.
"Knock, knock." Bella knocked on Cynthia Young’s office door.
"Come in." Cynthia looked at some insider news a friend had shared, frowning without looking up.
Bella opened the door and went in, "Ms. Young, I’m back."
"Are you back today?" Cynthia blinked in surprise, picked up the calendar on the desk to glance at it, and then nodded, "I got too busy and forgot to prepare champagne for you."
"My buzz just wore off," Bella said, "What are you looking at? Encountered something troublesome?"
