After Bella finished speaking, she seemed to realize she had said something she shouldn’t have, and covered her mouth.

Rhonda’s smile seemed like it was about to fall apart.

Bella apologized, "Rhonda, I’m sorry. Sometimes I just speak my mind without thinking too much. Plus, I truly consider you a good sister, which is why I’m so unguarded."

Who is whose good sister, Bella, could you be any more fake?

Rhonda almost couldn’t resist throwing the red wine she was holding in Bella’s face, but fortunately, her strong self-control allowed her to keep her emotions in check at the crucial moment. "Sister Acker, I know."

"Hmm, as long as you know." Bella smiled slightly and sipped her champagne.

Rhonda never expected that not only had Bella’s demeanor changed, but her words had become so sharp, relentless in pointing out faults.

She originally thought Bella knew Mr. Caldwell and wanted to use Bella’s connections to challenge Mr. Caldwell’s wife. But it turned out Bella didn’t know him at all and subtly mocked her instead.

The plan didn’t go smoothly, and she took a hidden loss; Rhonda was so angry she felt like she was about to explode on the spot. What angered her more was that she couldn’t even vent this anger in front of Bella!

Swallowing her anger, Rhonda forced a smile and said, "Sister Acker, I’ll go greet other guests. Feel free."

"Go ahead, don’t worry about me," Bella nodded with a smile.

Rhonda walked away with a smile, but as soon as she turned her back, her smile flattened, and under the dim light, her expression was chillingly dark.

Bella looked around to ensure no one was near, then took out her phone and started chatting on WeChat.

"Let me tell you something funny, someone just purposely showed off their boyfriend in front of me."

This was a group chat with Sandra Woods and Archer Quinn, and Sandra responded first, "Who? So boring."

Bella was a bit surprised by Sandra’s quick reply, "You’re done for the day?"

"Not yet. I have two night scenes tonight, just resting right now. Who was it?" Sandra replied.

"Rhonda, do you know her?"

"Heard of her, never met her. She seems to be pretty shrewd and reputed to have a strong background."

"Her boyfriend is probably her background, but he looks like someone with a family, old enough to be her dad."

"I’ve seen plenty of those. But she shouldn’t be showing off like that in front of you, right? Lost her mind?" Sandra was curious.

"I find it quite baffling too, she doesn’t seem like someone who would simply brag. But I don’t know that man at all, so who cares. How’s filming going for you? How much longer until you wrap up?"

Sandra: "Still a while to go, probably more than another four months. I really want a holiday, travel, and just eat and drink a lot." She followed with six or seven emojis of someone bawling their eyes out on the floor.

Bella found it amusing, "Work hard, once you’re back I’ll treat you to a feast." She followed with two hug and kiss emojis.

Sandra sent an eye-roll emoji and continued to reply, "How about you? When does ’I Will Not Be a Concubine’ wrap up?"

"Yeah, Bella, when does ’I Will Not Be a Concubine’ wrap up?" Suddenly, Archer Quinn chimed in.

"Still a while to go. Senior Quinn, are you done for the day?"

"No, just a ten-minute break before continuing," Archer replied with a smile emoji.

Bella wanted to respond, but someone came over with a drink to toast and chat with her, so she had to put her phone away for the time being.
