Chapter 720: Chapter 719: Capturing Her Heart (Part 3)

"Hmm." Damian peeled an egg and handed it to her.

Bella Acker had breakfast with the two children, then sent them off to the car.

"Bye, Mommy." The little girl hugged her neck, kissed her face, and said, "Mommy, you can open your gift soon."

"Okay, I have it in my bag, I’ll open it later." Bella Acker also kissed her on the cheek then put her into the car, turned and said, "Ethan, don’t push yourself too hard with your studies. Let me know once the music salon is confirmed."

"Okay, see you, sister." Ethan waved and also got into the car.

Damian stood by the car looking at her, "Isn’t there anything you’d like to say to me?"

"Mr. Sinclair, when I return to Creston, I’ll treat you to a meal," Bella Acker smiled slightly.

Damian sighed silently; it was hard to crack open the turtle shell and reveal a bit of her true self, but going out to buy breakfast seemed to revert her back.

Luckily, an opportunity for a meal arose. Some damages already caused are indeed hard to repair; it can’t be rushed.

"I’ll wait for your call then." Damian also opened the car door and got in.

Bella Acker stepped back, bent down and waved to the two children.

"Mommy, bye." The little girl leaned on the car window, waving at her, with tears already welling up in her big eyes.

Bella Acker couldn’t bear to part with the two children either, her eyes felt warm but she held back her tears.

Even after the car drove far away, she stood there for a long time.

Finally, when she couldn’t see the car anymore, Bella Acker withdrew her gaze and took out the carefully prepared gift from the little girl from her bag.

The gift box was wrapped in beautiful paper, tied with a colorful ribbon.

Bella Acker pulled the ribbon to unwrap the paper, then folded those two things and put them in her bag before opening the box.

Inside the box was a drawing, with very innocent strokes, but it was clear that it depicted three people.

On the far left was a tall man, on the right a petite woman, and in the middle was a little girl wearing a hat, holding hands with each.

Above each figure were scribbled the words "Daddy," "Mommy," and "Talia" with pencil. The handwriting was somewhat crooked, yet Bella Acker felt her eyes get warm.

Even though she had given Talia all the love, perhaps there was still a part of love missing in Talia’s heart that she couldn’t compensate for?

Blood ties really are a magical thing.

Even abroad, it’s not like no one pursued Bella Acker; many were good-looking, but Talia could play happily with them without getting too close.

Yet with Damian, it was different.

On their first meeting, Talia immediately showed immense liking and attachment to Damian.

Bella Acker, feeling somewhat distressed, picked up the drawing and realized there was a photo underneath it.

The photo was taken that day while catching fish in the sunflower field, with Damian and Bella Acker each holding one of Talia’s hands. The little girl was smiling brightly, her smile more radiant than the sunflowers around her.

Tears suddenly welled up in Bella Acker’s eyes.

It’s not that she didn’t want to give Talia a complete family, but...

Bella Acker gently touched the people in the photo, finally managing to control her emotions, wiping away the tears and heading to the filming set.

She continued working, and the next day after filming, everyone accepted Rhonda’s invitation to attend the gathering she organized.
