Chapter 711: Chapter 710: Then Give Mommy a Kiss (4)
Ethan held the little girl’s hand as they walked to the front to get in the car, and only then did Bella say, "Mr. Sinclair, thank you."
"You never used to be this polite with me." Damian said as he also started walking forward.
Bella sighed internally; back then, their relationship was different; how could it be compared to now.
Judy Zimmerman said, "Bella, I think President Sinclair is quite sincere this time."
"We were sincere together before too, but some things were there, some damage has been done, and there’s no way to pretend nothing ever happened." Bella sighed, "Let’s go."
The film set was quite close to the hotel, and Bella usually walked over, not bothering to drive.
Judy shrugged and got in the car with her.
The five of them found a bustling BBQ place on the food street and picked a large pile of food.
Bella handed the basket full of food to the owner as she lined up, then turned and said, "Mr. Sinclair, would you like a drink?"
"Sure." Damian nodded, "The weather’s hot, let’s have some cold beer."
"Okay." Bella nodded, "Boss, please give us six bottles of cold beer and two bottles of room temperature Wang Laoji."
"Got it, will you all be eating here? Please wait a moment, it’ll be right up."
Bella walked back to her seat and sat down. Talia stayed in her seat the whole time, craning her neck to watch the barbecue, looking like a little foodie.
Talia fully inherited this trait from Bella, having a particular fondness for these street snacks.
However, since she’s still young and growing, Bella rarely lets her eat these, only occasionally buying a bit.
"Wow, it smells so good." The little girl excitedly pounded the table.
Bella laughed, "Talia, sit properly, don’t knock the table over."
"Mommy, it smells so good." The little girl sat back on the bench, her eyes still glued to the barbecue, drool almost dripping from her mouth.
Ethan handed her a wet wipe to clean her hands, eyes filled with affectionate smiles, "Talia, you’ll be able to eat soon, don’t rush."
"Uncle, a kiss." The little girl leaned over to give Ethan a peck on the cheek, then continued watching the barbecue.
It seemed she didn’t want anyone interrupting her enjoyment of watching the delicious food.
There was also a smile in Damian’s eyes, "Talia is really just like you. Every time you come to the food street, it’s like there’s a magnet under your feet, you can’t leave until you’re full."
Bella felt a fleeting sense of nostalgia at his words.
Back when Damian was busy with work, he would occasionally finish early to take her out to eat.
They originally had reservations at a restaurant, but often they never made it because she was already full from the food street.
Damian always said these street snacks were unhygienic, but he always compromised, even standing in long lines just for a share of the spicy rabbit head she liked.
Thinking back on the little moments they shared, it almost felt like those things happened in a past life.
Bella smiled, not picking up on Damian’s words.
Soon, the owner brought over some of the grilled dishes, along with an entire crate of cold beer, saying, "I might be too lazy to bring more later. You guys start drinking, and we’ll settle the rest later."
"Wow, so delicious!" The little girl couldn’t wait to grab a skewer of plain potato slices and started munching away.
Bella chuckled and opened a beer, raising the bottle, "Mr. Sinclair, thank you for bringing Talia and Ethan here today, cheers to you."
