Chapter 1329: Chapter 569: Tamu Khan!_2
This is the truth realized by the traveler after a hundred years, that the Chaos Four Gods would never show mercy to any mortals; the mortal world is nothing more than an amusing toy in their eyes.
The traveler hates the Chaos Four Gods, just as he equally hates all mortal deities. He hates everything, and ever since he decided to embrace the cruel fate, he has felt weary of the entire world. More than once, he has erupted from the depths of his heart in disgust for all things, both towards the mortal gods and the Chaos Evil Gods.
However, the Evil Gods do not care; it matters not to them whether the traveler loves, worships, or despises them. As long as the traveler demonstrates his value, the Evil Gods continue to watch him with interest, anticipating his next move.
Hate is a power far deeper than love.
This is Chaos!
By the time the traveler arrived near Kadasha, a war had already begun.
Kadasha, the cursed grand plateau has opened its doors to welcome all those brave enough to climb its razor-sharp cliffs—the Chaos Warriors—leading them to its summit of ancient ruins—Zanbaijin, a city older than humankind itself, an arena for the Chaos Gods. Here, the Evil Gods await their favorite entertainments, as their mortal followers slaughter each other before the ancient stage, striving to win their favor.
The traveler and his followers chose not to join the battle, as such battles have been fought countless times over the past hundred years. Instead, he merely stood from afar, his eyes glowing bright red with the Fire of Chaos, coldly watching the battlefield.
Now, right before his eyes, three Chaos Armies are fighting in the ruins. As they battle, they strive to reach the Chaos Rune Stele, like children clamoring for candy, pressing before adults, exclaiming: "Give me! Give me!"
From the Norsca Aisling Tribe, the Champion of Khorne, Haka, leads a whole legion of Brass Khorne Chosen Warriors in a charge, backed by a horde of Barbarian Raiders, with numerous Chaos Demon Dogs and a dozen Chaos Eggs, chanting the great name of Blood God Khorne.
From the east comes Sargass the Void, leading a grand force of Slaanesh Cultist cavalry from the Kurgan Tribe. These Desire Knights astride ornately decorated steeds, with their graceful forms and splendid garb, shine blindingly even under the Evil Moon. The young Slaanesh Champion Sargass has long been under the favor of Slaanesh; his soul has long been void, and usual mortal actions can no longer evoke feelings within his hollow soul. Now, he has come here merely to satisfy his unending wicked desires.
The Conspiracy Witch—the Destructor of Souls, from the southern Ural Tribe, is followed by a group of Tzeentch Demon Mages and Tzeentch Fanatics. Although they are fewer in number, with the help of Chaos Magic, their presence is no less formidable than other Barbarian forces.
Now, an intense battle erupts within the city’s ruins as three Chaos Tribes clash—spells and swords, gaping jaws and flame-burning claws. Lives are snatched in an instant, and the spilling endless blood reflects the smiles of the deities. The three-way chaos keeps the balance of battle in constant flux. Whenever one side approaches the Chaos Rune Stele, the other two join forces in assault, and the scales of victory continue to sway.
Thus, hour after hour, the battle remains fiercely tense, with the Brass Chosen Warriors of Khorne, the Desire Knights of Slaanesh, and the Tzeentch Demon Mages all locked in relentless combat.
No one notices that a new army is appearing on the horizon.
The putrid yellow-green stench gradually engulfs the land as they pass, a nightmarish army appears—like a filthy mudslide. The Nurgle’s Chosen Warriors, bodies decaying like pustules, those endlessly hungry Giant Demons, and the humanoid creatures, now unrecognizable as originally human, slide fluidly across the earth, leaking rotten broth.
It is before this entire Nurgle Army that their leader appears in the traveler’s gaze.
A corpse that has completely died yet still retains an extraordinary vitality, riding on a giant, decaying Toad Dragon. This giant beast measures several meters long, and upon it sits the Plague God’s Champion of Nurgle, the living corpse, King of Maggot, the self-proclaimed rightful heir to the Emperor Kurgan’s legacy—Tamu Khan.
The traveler’s eyes lock onto Tamu Khan’s bloated and decaying form. He can see the divine mark on him that sets him apart among the four leaders, the radiant glory bestowed by his master. Nurgle’s plague storm enshrouds his body, and the supreme blessings granted by the Father of Plagues, the God of Disease, are plainly visible.
He is the Chosen Champion of Nurgle!
Immediately, the Chaos Tribes fighting in the city’s ruins are attacked fiercely by Tamu Khan and his army—an unmistakable slaughter. Soon, under the fierce assault, the Chaos Tribes crumble before the Plague Army, with smaller Chaos Warbands and War Gangs being obliterated one by one. The three Chaos Tribes soon realize that the balance of this battle is beginning to shift.
