Chapter 1296: Chapter 555: The Warlord’s Curtain Call (Part 2)

"There are no ’ifs’ in life." Laine raised the Goddess of Revenge, his expression indifferent. After breaking out of his thoughts, he gave Mathew Bade a slight nod as a minimum sign of respect. He could feel Mathew Bade’s persistence.

Both sides moved their steps again, launching a charge toward each other!

Mathew Bade let out an angry roar, his mouth wide open, as the Viper Sword in his hand flew faster and faster through the air, scattering wave after wave of sword blossoms.

After becoming a Vampire, his wrist strength and speed increased exponentially, and the massive power contained in the Viper Sword almost made it difficult for Laine to withstand. The Divine Chosen Champion of the Lake Fairy gritted his teeth and retreated repeatedly, trying to find a flaw in Mathew Bade’s attack.

But Mathew Bade’s offensive had no flaws.

"This will never stop until my revenge is complete, otherwise I will never halt!" Mathew Bade showed an extremely satisfied expression on his face. "Now, let me kill you!"

"I will never allow this!" Under Mathew Bade’s powerful attack, Laine was nearly unable to resist. He gripped the hilt of the Goddess of Revenge tightly, and after being forced back seven or eight steps, he finally found an opening by sidestepping.

So, this is the power of a Vampire? It’s truly worthy of being the ultimate creature created by the Master of the Undead! Laine only felt that both his wrist strength and speed had already been suppressed by Mathew Bade, and the damage from Spiritual Flame and Spiritual Lightning had greatly reduced.

Boiling blood surges!

"For the Lady! For Brittania! For Landuin! Roar!" Laine roared continuously, stomping the ground forcefully, the erupting quake pushing back against Musillon’s Viper Sword. Subsequently, a cavalry lance nearly four meters long appeared in his hand. Laine held the Unbreakable Lake Light in one hand and the Goddess of Revenge in the other: "The living and the dead cannot coexist, and I will not fail here!"

The cavalry lance swept horizontally, tearing through space, with air waves swirling, and pure white moonlight carved a semicircle across the sky.

The Moonlight fused around Laine, forming a pillar of light over ten meters long and nearly one meter wide.

"Reach the limit, surpass the boundary, witness this light, Viper!"

"Overweight Lake Light!"

Laine swung the Unbreakable Lake Light in the air, sweeping horizontally towards Mathew Bade. The fearsome power emitted from the light pillar made the river tremble, and amidst the scent of burning air, the Unbreakable Lake Light aimed straight for Mathew Bade’s body!

"You are quite a worthy opponent, Laine Macado!" Mathew Bade pridefully and confidently faced the light pillar, surrounded by arrogance, choosing to face the light pillar head-on.

The Viper Sword and the light pillar collided directly, sparks flying everywhere.

"Ugh, ahhhhhh!" Laine increased his strength, pouring all his bodily power into the cavalry lance, then pressing down forcefully.

"Landuin’s legacy... is no more than this!" The Vampire sneered contemptuously as his facial features twisted into a mess, the Viper Sword holding against the power of the light pillar, his hands bloodied and burned by the Overweight Lake Light, and his body sunk into the ground from resisting Laine’s attack.

Yet, he still managed to withstand the blow. Mathew Bade suddenly twisted the sword’s edge, jamming the lance shaft, and reached out to directly grab the Unbreakable Lake Light, then pulled backward with force!

Laine leaned forward hastily to try reclaiming it, but with the cavalry lance slipping from his hand unavoidably, the Viper Sword sliced along the shaft, leaving Laine with no choice but to release it. As the Goddess of Revenge and the Viper Sword clashed once more, Mathew Bade had already pinned the Unbreakable Lake Light under his foot, moving forward toward his prey with terrifying anticipation flashing in his unwavering eyes.

His attack disrupted, Laine attempted a counter-attack against Mathew Bade in agony, but the speed of the now-Vampire Mathew Bade was simply too fast. His arm was already gripping Laine’s neck, five fingers clasped tightly around the armored gauntlet, pressing forcefully down, instantly pinning Laine to the ground, Mathew Bade repeatedly slammed him fiercely onto the ground.

An echo of loud booms followed. Laine let out a pained wail; his spine creaked.

"Die! Die!" Mathew Bade furiously squeezed harder, desiring Laine’s death, even though the Spiritual Lightning and Spiritual Flame flowing out from Laine’s body had already burned his arm into a charred black, leaving nothing but bare bones.

Through successive pummeling, Laine finally broke free of Mathew Bade’s arm, but just as he recomposed his focus, the Vampire’s sword edge pierced through his rib, gliding through his flesh with a crisp hissing sound.

"Uh!" The Viper Sword pierced through Laine’s chest, with Mathew Bade demonstrating his strength as he directly lifted Laine off the ground, while Laine struggled weakly.

The transformed Vampire Mathew Bade coldly declared, "Our battle ends here! Laine, you lost!"

The long and resilient Viper Sword deeply embedded in Laine’s chest, wrenching pain devouring every inch of his senses as he convulsed wretchedly, eyes wide: "Not necessarily!"

"Come, lance!" Laine suddenly reached out toward Mathew Bade’s back.

"What?" Instinctively, Mathew Bade glanced behind himself.

Falling behind the Vampire, the Unbreakable Lake Light suddenly lifted off the ground, piercing directly through Mathew Bade’s chest from behind!
