War God Long Ao
Chapter 459: Celestial Dao
Chapter 459: Chapter 459: Celestial Dao
Long Ao knew perfectly well that it was still uncertain whether the Four Great Forces would actually show up.
But no matter what, it was essential to take precautions.
As the saying goes, it’s better to be safe than sorry. What if the Four Great Forces launched a full-scale invasion?
For this very reason, Long Ao dared not let his guard down in the slightest. He maintained maximum vigilance, constantly on the lookout for a sudden attack from the Four Great Forces.
As it turned out, his worries were unnecessary.
From start to finish, the Four Great Forces didn’t send a single expert—not so much as a shadow. It was all a false alarm.
’What on earth are the Four Great Forces trying to do?’
This time, the Four Great Forces had managed to completely confuse Long Ao. He had no idea what they were plotting.
Since the Four Great Forces didn’t attack the Sect, Long Ao could finally breathe a long sigh of relief.
At that moment, however, Long Ming told Long Ao he wanted to return to the Nine Nether Space to avenge his clan and parents.
With Long Ming’s current strength, getting revenge wouldn’t be difficult. But what if there was a Void Saint Spirit Beast among the Nine Great Royal Families? What would he do then?
But Long Ming’s mind was made up. He was adamant about taking revenge himself and refused Long Ao’s help.
With no other choice, Long Ao could only agree.
And so, for the first time, Long Ming left Long Ao’s side and entered the Nine Nether Space to begin avenging his clan and parents. This meant seeking out the so-called Nine Great Royal Families: the Abyss Scorpion Clan, the Biqing Mad Lion Clan, the Blood-eyed Demon Ape Clan, the Heavenly Mountain Bull Clan, the Bloodthirsty Human-faced Spider Clan, the Golden-devouring Flying Ant Clan, the Hell Demon Dog Clan, and the Death God Mantis Clan.
Long Ao was very worried.
But he was powerless to help. Without Long Ming’s assistance, he couldn’t even enter the Nine Nether Space.
He wanted to help but lacked the ability.
The Nine States of Kyushu were: Celestial State, Di Zhou, Rizhou, Yuezhou, Sunset State, Yunzhou, Chizhou, Illusion State, and Heilin State.
The Long Ao of today was the absolute overlord of Kyushu. After all, with the withdrawal of the Four Great Forces, no one in the entire Nine States was his match.
For this very reason, Long Ao prepared to take his dominion to the next level—in other words, to consolidate his power. That way, if war ever broke out with the Four Great Forces, he could at least unite the strength of Kyushu to confront them together.
Long Ao didn’t handle things personally. Instead, he handed over all matters to the Snake Emperor to manage.
Long Ao made this decision not out of consideration for the Snake Emperor’s connection to the Snake Princess, but because he valued the Snake Emperor’s capabilities.
In any case, the Snake Emperor had once been the Palace Master of Piaomiao Palace. The abilities he possessed were simply incomparable to others.
The Snake Emperor was deeply moved. He knew how important this task from Long Ao was. No matter the reason, he told himself that he had to do a good job and absolutely could not let anyone look down on him.
The night was silent and still.
Suddenly, thunder rolled. The entire world was filled with lightning, the sound echoing between Heaven and Earth.
At this moment, two figures suddenly appeared. A closer look revealed a human Martial Artist and a hundred-meter-long black Giant Dragon. The man and dragon were frantically attacking the thunder and lightning, seeming to ignore it completely.
"Celestial Dao! Celestial Dao! Hahaha! The Celestial Dao is unjust! Why should we revere it? Today, I shall slaughter the Celestial Dao!"
The man and the dragon stared intently at the Nine Heavens. At that moment, a furious gale howled between Heaven and Earth, and the ground began to tremble as if in an earthquake.
At the Nine Heavens Peak, a giant face suddenly materialized. It looked down upon the man and dragon below, its expression filled with contempt.
A majestic voice boomed.
"Long Tian. Ancient Divine Dragon. You seek to defy the Celestial Dao? You truly don’t know the meaning of death. I’d like to see just how you plan to defy me."
"Hahahaha! Celestial Dao... Celestial Dao... That’s the most ridiculous thing I’ve ever heard."
"Ridiculous? Though your power may have reached the Martial Arts Peak, I must inform you that you are nothing before the Celestial Dao. Today, I will show you what the Celestial Dao truly is—what the true peak of Martial Arts really looks like!"
The man and the dragon completely ignored the giant face. Because of this, they shot madly toward it. Their immense confidence told them that in this battle, victory was the only option; defeat was not.
Both man and dragon knew in their hearts that this battle was of the utmost importance. If they won, they would become the future rulers of Heaven and Earth. If they lost, their lives would surely be forfeit.
Yet, the man and the dragon still chose a head-on confrontation against the so-called Celestial Dao, the most powerful existence between Heaven and Earth.
Just as the man and dragon surged forward, they were shocked to find their bodies suddenly locked in place, unable to move. ’What was happening?’
Not daring to be the least bit careless, the man and the dragon frantically channeled the power within their bodies, trying to break the lock, but to no avail.
Left with no choice, Long Tian took a black Small Seal from his robes and hurled it fiercely at the giant face.
Not only that, but the man and dragon employed a tactic of mutual destruction, pouring all of their Life Essence Blood into the black Small Seal. A dazzling light enveloped Heaven and Earth, so brilliant the giant face was forced to shut its eyes.
Having broken free of the lock, the man and dragon were ecstatic. Without the slightest hesitation, they shot toward the giant face with all their might.
But both dragon and man knew that with their strength, they were no match for the giant face. In the current situation, a smooth escape was impossible. There was only one option left: mutual destruction.
The man and the dragon exchanged a look, and both saw unshakable resolve in the other’s eyes.
But at that moment, Long Tian suddenly made a move, stopping the Ancient Divine Dragon. In an instant, his body exploded, and he died. Immediately after, the black Small Seal unleashed the most terrifying power in its history, slamming directly into the giant face.
"ARGH!"
A pained scream echoed. The giant face never imagined it would be wounded by its opponent. In its fury, it began to frantically attack the Ancient Divine Dragon. If the man and dragon together were no match for the Celestial Dao, what chance did the Ancient Divine Dragon have alone?
Without a doubt, the Ancient Divine Dragon was no match for the giant face. Its physical body was instantly destroyed. But at that moment, perhaps due to the lingering effect of Long Tian’s final Divine Spirit, the Ancient Divine Dragon’s soul was sucked into the space within the black Small Seal.
"Long Tian, I will tear you to shreds! You will never have the chance to rise again!"
"Celestial Dao, I will return! I will not surrender! I will never surrender!"
Watching the black Small Seal shoot into the distance, the giant face prepared to intercept it. But the Small Seal was too fast, giving the face no chance at all. It had already torn through space and vanished over the horizon like a shooting star.
The giant face’s expression was incredibly ugly, its features dark to the extreme. Yet it was powerless. Even though it was the Celestial Dao, the black Small Seal was simply too fast and had fled by breaking through space, making it impossible to intercept.
