[VRMMO] Chaos Doctor
Chapter 613 - 612 – Orion’s Path.
"Okay. Yeah. The fuck is this?" – said Maparapara after Phantasia told the group their concerns.
"Yeah! It doesn't make freaking sense!" – said Thanatos.
"Maybe they had given up after so much time had passed? Like, they think that we had already obtained the divinity?" – asked Maparapara.
"Then shouldn't they at least somebody here, like a scout or something to confirm something?" – replied Phantasia.
"Hm… Yeah… Nothing is making any sense." – said Thanatos.
"According to the information organization provided us with and the info we have on our hand, this location SHOULD get attacked."
"And yet… Nothing?"
"Even if they DO lack in the manpower, divinity should be their top priority. More than anything else."
"…"
"Hm… Yeah, it doesn't make sense." – said Maparapara.
"I mean, they did attacked the armies that were dealing with temples."
"So maybe… You know…"
"…"
"Wait."
"Maybe they really couldn't split up their forces?"
"?"
"What do you mean?" – asked Thanatos.
"Military strength." – said Maparapara.
"I get splitting up troops and what to take over the temples is good idea, but you also need to think about it from the strategic point."
"Right now the elves are overwhelming everybody with their tide."
"However, soon or later their tide will dimmish or the other factions will adjust themselves."
"If they spread around their forces too much, it will be way too hard for them to regroup, which in turn would make them perfect targets to pick off."
"This would mean that even with those spirit dragons, the spirit faction would end up getting destroyed, just as they destroyed their enemies."
"If they don't spread their forces too far from each other, then it would be way easier to regroup them and increase their chances at survival."
"…"
"…"
"?"
"What? Did I said something off?" – asked Maparapara as both Thanatos and Phantasia went silent.
"…"
"N-no… If anything,… Your theory sounds… Perfect?" – said Phantasia.
"If anything, I think you may be completely right here?" – said Phantasia as he and Thanatos looked at each other.
"How… Okay!" – said Thanatos.
"Quick question. How did you came up with it?"
"Hm? What do you mean? I just thought logically about it." – replied Maparapara.
"…"
"Okay. Let me rephrase that." – said Thanatos.
"When did you gotten so good at military strategy?"
"Oh, that? I mean, I kind of needed to pick up few things and what not since we are pretty much extremely way too often involved in wars or other bullshit, aren't we?" – replied Maparapara.
"I mean… She ain't wrong." – said Phantasia.
"…"
"Still, it did caught mee off guard a bit."
"Huh? What is that supposed to mean?" – asked annoyed Maparapara.
"No! I mean no offence… It is just… Different." – said Phantasia.
"You really have changed."
"Or more exactly adapted."
"Honestly speaking, the two of us are the dumb ones here."
"Yeah. I've got to agree on this with him." – said Thanatos.
"We focused way too much on what would be the best targets that we didn't thought about its basic military way of thinking."
<<…I… Wow… I really feel dumb here.>>
<<The answer was simple.>>
<<They can't.>>
<<Not because they are scared of me.>>
<<They simple just cannot split up their forces, or their new brand army which is noticeable powerful would end up just getting destroyed.>>
<<…But again, that would be still stupid, since we are talking about divinities.>>
<<…Well… Technically… Okay, let me just explain.>>
<<The spirit faction maybe doubtful about the "information" that was provided to them.>>
<<They don't know if there are truly elder gods divinities out there.>>
<<Or more exactly, they don't fully comprehend WHAT they are.>>
<<They are not like bits of power they had left behind, but a full blown divinities.>>
<<They just lack too much information.>>
<<Not only that, they may had noticed that the shadow master mind WANTED them to fight… So yeah.>>
<<Risk. Unknown if information was real. Conspiracy. Danger of the other factions and what not….>>
<<Honestly speaking? I think the spirits made the smartest play here with what they had?>>
<<Well… "With information they had on hand".>>
<<Since oh boy… There is no way they would act like this if they had information that the divinities are real deal.>>
<<…And that reveals another thing.>>
<<They still didn't obtained a divinity.>>
<<…But again, the chance is still there.>>
<<Who is to say that the moment they obtain a single divinity, they wouldn't change their plans instantly?>>
<<And… We had another bullshit problem.>>
<<Remember how I said that every major faction was informed? Yeah… Our faction was also involved, specifically the strongest leaders of organization.>>
<<And they are making their moves which they kept somewhat silent.>>
<<But obviously, since I'm talking about it means that I and "Kid" both know about it.>>
<<Honestly speaking? I DON'T FUCKING WANT THEM!>>
<<I MEAN! The moment organization wins the allies will turn on each other!>>
<<This is annoying… It would be good if nobody gets those divinities… But fuck it! We don't have anything that can stop this.>>
<<…>>
<<There is also Orion.>>
<<This time… It is surprising taking her much longer than before, to the point where she logged off twice and took long breaks.>>
<<Did she changed up her approach or something like that?>>
<<Either way, we just waited.>>
<<Honestly… I think it maybe just wishful thinking… But it would be nice if she finished the trial this time, since new shit is going on in this world non stop with a new one popping.>>
[Current location: Temple dungeon]
"…How… Did you do that?" – asked the Winter Songstress.
"…So… Will that do it?" – asked Orion.
"Will… That do it?" – asked Winter Songstress herself as she looked around herself… And beholder.
A hall filled with beauty of frozen flowers.
A music, which was so gentle, yet moving.
A ball, which represented the winter and beauty.
"…"
(I don't know what to say.) – thought shocked Winter Songstress.
(THIS IS NOTHING LIKE SHE DID BEFORE!)
(Her first attempts were beyond messy. Her next attempts afterwords were just all over the place.)
(But this? THE HELL IS THIS?!)
(I know she was gone for long time, but the change isn't just noticeable! It is as if she is completely different person all together!) – thought Songstress as she looked towards Orion who was quietly waiting for her verdict.
Orion wasn't fuming with rage, but instead she kept a straight face… Or she tried to, as it was visible obviously that she was both nervous and anxious, fearing the possibly that once again she could fail.
"…"
"Well… You know as much as I do that my judgment needs to be fair." – said Songstress as her words put Orion on the high alert, making her think that she already failed.
"Congratulation."
"…"
"Eh?" – scared and confused Orion looked towards Songstress.
"You did it." – said the Songstress.
"This ball."
"This music."
"It all represents the coming of the winter and the season itself."
"You have truly created it."
"A ball of winter."
"Congratulation Orion."
"You have made me proud."
"And you know what that means."
[You have completed the trial.]
"You have completed it the trial and shown the beauty as well as meaning of the winter with your art."
"You have completed the trial."
"And with that said, you also obtained the right-"
"To inherit the divinity of one of the goddesses of the four seasons, Kmin – Goodness Of The Winter."
"Let me show it to you."
"Your destiny." – said Songstress as she started walking, leading Orion.
"…"
"?" – or so the priest thought, until she looked behind herself and realized Orion didn't moved from her spot.
"Miss Orion? Is everything alright?" – asked Songstress.
"…"
Orion… Kind of crashed.
The moment she heard words spoke by the priestess and the system messaged popped out… She just kind of ended up just… Standing and processing the information that she had obtained.
"…Wait… What?" – said Orion to herself.
"…I… Did it?"
"Well, yes. You did it with flying colors this time." – said the priestess.
"…."
"Ha…"
"Hahahaha…..."
"HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!" – Orion burst out laughing like a madwoman, which ended up catching Songstress off guard.
"I FUCKING DID IT! I MOTHERFUCKING DID IT!" – shouted Orion as she got on her knees and grabbed her head while still laughing.
"Miss Orion?!" – said worried Songstress.
"FINALY! FUCKING FINALY!" – shouted Orion without carrying about Songstress presence at all, as if she forgotten she was even there in the first place.
"I FUCKING! I JUST! I FUCKING! HAHAHAHAHA!"

"I HAVE PROVEN MYSELF! I HAD FUCKING PROVEN MYSELF!"
"I AIN'T FAILURE OR NOBODY ANYMORE! I'M SOMEBODY!"
"YOU HEAR ME?!"
"I'M SOMEBODY!"
Her story… Her newly born obsession… And now?
Taste.
Mix it all up together… And it is done.
She is no more.
The "Old" Orion is gone.
And now?
The "New" Orion stands in her place.
"…"
"Songstress… Would you mind?" – said Orion as she gotten up.
"And show me the divinity?"
The second divinity had been obtained.
And with it, the last remaining member of the Phantasia's group had been reborn.
5 out of 5 divinities:
Obtained.
