Void Cultivation
Chapter 474 - 473-
But despite the amount of purple light that erupted from the crystal, it could not instantly suppress the overwhelming murmurs.
The voices continued. They were louder and more chaotic. More terrifying. Grey felt as though he was about to die.
It was as if his entire head was going to explode from hearing something that he was never supposed to hear. His body began to undergo a horrifying transformation.
Blood tendrils suddenly shot out from his flesh. His skin began to separate from his body. Pieces of flesh tore themselves apart.
It was as if Grey’s own body had developed a will of its own and was attempting to move toward the source of the ravings.
It wanted to approach that great being. It wanted to merge with it. Grey’s consciousness screamed in resistance.
But his body continued to deteriorate.
And while all of this was happening, not even a single breath of time had passed in reality.
The destruction was happening too quickly. Within Grey’s Sea of Consciousness, the situation was even worse.
The entire sea was beginning to collapse. The incessant murmurs had transformed into an overwhelming storm that shook the very foundation of his consciousness.
His Spirit Sea surged violently. Waves of spiritual energy rose into the heavens before crashing back down with terrifying force.
Everything within the sea was thrown into complete turmoil.
The Mosasaur was the first to suffer. Its enormous body was ripped apart by the raging waves. Its flesh and bones were scattered throughout the Spirit Sea.
Yet, before it could even stabilize itself, its body rapidly reformed.bThe Mosasaur appeared once again. But the moment it reappeared...
BOOM!
It was torn apart again. Again and again. Over and over. The purple phantom was also caught within the storm.
Its body was ravaged by the violent spiritual waves, while the Soul Devouring Everlasting Bird was thrown through the turbulent sea like a helpless leaf caught within a hurricane.
Even these powerful existences were unable to resist the terrifying disturbance occurring within Grey’s consciousness.
Then...
At the highest point of Grey’s Sea of Consciousness, the place that represented the sky, something appeared.
A crack appeared. A single black crack. It slowly spread across the invisible heavens of his consciousness.
There was no sound or explosion or movement.
Yet, the moment the crack appeared, an indescribable majesty descended upon the entire Sea of Consciousness.
An overwhelming feeling emerged from within Grey.
It was the feeling that whatever existed behind that crack possessed enough power to end the entire world.
Grey’s expression changed.
This was... the crack of divinity. His Sea of Consciousness was already being corrupted.
The terrifying divinity was slowly seeping through the crack and spreading across his Spirit Sea. Everywhere it passed, Grey’s spiritual foundation began to collapse.
If this continued for even a few more seconds, his entire Sea of Consciousness would be completely eviscerated from existence. And once that happened, the consequences would be catastrophic.
Without his Sea of Consciousness, Grey’s cultivation foundation would collapse.
His Foundation Establishment realm would be shattered. He would fall directly back into the Qi Accumulation realm.
And even that might not be the worst outcome.
The backlash from the destruction of his Sea of Consciousness could kill him before his cultivation realm even had the chance to fall completely. Grey was standing at the edge of death. But just as everything was about to collapse behind Grey’s Purple Moon, a small figure suddenly appeared.
The figure had completely black hair. His body was small, and his expression was gloomy.
His face could not be seen clearly.
Yet, from the movements of his body and the faint outline of his features, it was possible to tell that he was extraordinarily handsome.
If Grey could see what was happening inside his own body at this moment, he would undoubtedly be shocked.
Because this small figure was none other than the mysterious black-haired person he had seen before.
The same person who had once suppressed a true divine existence within the red world of the Soul Ascendency realm expert.
The black-haired person quietly looked at the corruption spreading throughout Grey’s Sea of Consciousness.
He stared at the black crack that was slowly expanding across the heavens of Grey’s consciousness.
Then, he sighed lightly.
"I’m already used to this kid." His voice was completely indifferent and there was no panic or sense of urgency in it.
It was almost as if the destruction of Grey’s Sea of Consciousness was nothing more than a minor inconvenience he had encountered countless times before.
The black-haired person stepped forward.
One step. Then another.
Each step caused his figure to blur. Space seemed unable to contain his movements.
In the span of a fraction of a breath, he appeared directly before the black crack.
He raised his hand.
Then, he waved it lightly.
There was no terrifying explosion.
No overwhelming shockwave.
No grand display of power.
Yet, the moment his hand moved, the corruption spreading throughout Grey’s Sea of Consciousness immediately began to retreat.
It was as if an invisible force had grabbed hold of the terrifying divinity and forcibly pushed it backward.
The corruption receded.
It retreated from every corner of Grey’s consciousness.
The black crack that had appeared in the heavens of his Sea of Consciousness rapidly shrank.
Then, with a final silent tremor—
It disappeared completely.
The terrifying divinity was gone.
The black-haired person remained standing there for a moment.
His expression did not change.
Then, he turned around.
His figure blurred once again.
In the next instant, he appeared inside Grey’s physical body.
The corruption there was still spreading.
Blood tendrils continued to writhe beneath Grey’s skin, while his flesh and bones were being affected by the terrifying divinity.
The black-haired person merely glanced at it.
Then he waved his hand.
The same invisible force swept outward.
The corruption immediately began to recede.
The black darkness that had invaded Grey’s flesh was forcibly expelled and suppressed.
The blood tendrils stopped moving.
The tearing flesh slowly returned to normal.
The terrifying influence that had been attempting to drag Grey toward the incomprehensible existence in the heavens was completely suppressed.
Only then did the black-haired person turn around.
He walked away without saying another word.
His figure blurred.
And once again, he returned to the Purple Moon.
As he disappeared behind it, the entire Sea of Consciousness slowly returned to its previous state.
The raging Spirit Sea began to calm.
The shattered Mosasaur slowly reformed.
The purple phantom steadied itself.
Even the Soul Devouring Everlasting Bird recovered from the violent storm.
Outside, however, the horrifying rain of blood continued to fall from the shattered heavens.
And the gigantic closed eye remained behind the broken vortex.
It had not opened.
Not yet.
Yet even while remaining closed, its mere existence had nearly driven Grey’s consciousness to destruction.
The true horror of the scene was not that the eye had attacked them.
It was that—
It had done absolutely nothing.
It had merely appeared.
