Villainess Rampage: The Whole Sect Begs for Mercy

Chapter 545 - 552: Jiang Cen’s Death

  • Next Chapter

Jiang Cen had possessed his daughter’s body, personally destroying her future.

For a grudge like this, merely killing her would not be enough to satisfy his hatred.

Therefore, he had to torture Jiang Cen mercilessly, to watch her die a slow, miserable death. Only then could the hatred in his heart be appeased.

"AHHH—FATHER—SAVE ME—"

Jiang Cen had never felt such pain before.

It was a pain that pierced straight to her Divine Soul, so agonizing that her soul thrashed about while she wailed ceaselessly.

After so long, she had almost convinced herself that she really was Jiang Wentian’s daughter.

Jiang Wentian’s expression was calm, but a storm raged in his eyes. His gaze hardened, and Jiang Cen let out another blood-curdling scream. The pain instantly doubled, rendering her unable to speak.

He then walked over to his daughter’s body and carefully laid it down at the base of a nearby tree.

"Daughter, don’t you worry. I will make her regret ever being born!"

"Just watch!"

"I will have my vengeance for you!!!"

Then he sat down as well, leaning his daughter’s body against his own.

Jiang Cen’s agonizing screams were like an accompanying symphony, weaving through the air around him.

Song Wanning furrowed her brow, but she completely understood Jiang Wentian’s actions.

’If it were me, I’d probably be even more ruthless...’

So she found a place to sit and watch Jiang Cen’s tormented state.

At first, Jiang Cen’s soul could still writhe in agony, but after a short while, it was reduced to nothing but constant convulsions.

Her bloodshot eyes were wide with pain and pleading, her crazed expression a testament to her current agony.

Eventually, her voice grew so hoarse that she couldn’t even manage a whispered plea for mercy. She could only break down, helpless and in agony.

But the pain was endless. Jiang Cen couldn’t even grow numb to it; instead, she was forced to endure wave after surging wave of torment.

...

This agony continued for a full ten days.

And Jiang Wentian watched on with cold eyes the entire time.

Finally, he carefully propped his daughter’s body against the tree trunk and stood up.

He retracted the flame, and Jiang Cen’s soul immediately dropped to the ground.

By this point, she had gone completely mad, doing nothing but shaking her head and convulsing.

When she saw Jiang Wentian approach, she shuddered violently, shrinking back out of pure instinct.

Seeing her reduced to a mindless wreck by the pain, a flicker of emotion finally appeared in Jiang Wentian’s eyes.

’And this was the person who had killed his daughter.’

’How utterly absurd!’

Suddenly, it all seemed pointless. Jiang Wentian raised his palm and brought it down fiercely upon her.

"AHH—"

A hoarse, weak cry escaped Jiang Cen’s throat.

Her eyes widened, filled with nothing but despair.

But in the next instant, a Heavenly Tribulation descended from the sky, striking abruptly and dangerously toward Jiang Wentian.

Jiang Wentian was stunned but immediately launched a counterattack.

But he couldn’t dodge in time and was struck by the Heavenly Tribulation.

Song Wanning remained seated, unmoving. ’If I intervene rashly,’ she thought, ’Jiang Wentian will likely get angry.’

’I’ll let him try on his own first.’

The Heavenly Tribulation quickly dissipated, revealing Jiang Wentian’s somewhat battered figure. His hair had been blasted loose, new wounds covered his body, and the Power of thunder and lightning crackled around him.

His eyes were filled with fury, disbelief, and even a faint, barely perceptible trace of bewilderment.

He couldn’t understand. ’Why did a Heavenly Tribulation suddenly strike?!!!!’

As for Jiang Cen, she was scared stiff, not daring to move a muscle.

Even so, the Heavenly Dao of the Wood Sculpture Realm seemed unwilling to give up, doing its utmost to protect the invader.

Jiang Wentian glared at Jiang Cen, his eyes growing even sharper.

’I refuse to accept this!!!’

’This Heavenly Tribulation has to be an accident!’

With this in mind, Jiang Wentian once again struck fiercely at Jiang Cen’s soul.

If this strike landed, Jiang Cen’s soul would be instantly obliterated.

But in the next instant, the Heavenly Thunder arrived right on cue, even more terrifying than before.

Jiang Wentian snapped his head up, only to be enveloped in the next moment.

When the Heavenly Tribulation dissipated once more, he was completely shrouded in a boundless, malevolent aura.

"Why? Why are you protecting her?"

"Do you think she’s immortal just because you’re protecting her?"

"I will kill her!!!!!"

He roared at the heavens, his chest tight with unbearable fury!

He charged at Jiang Cen once more.

Unsurprisingly, the Heavenly Tribulation struck again.

Jiang Wentian was once again engulfed.

...

After being repeatedly battered by the Heavenly Tribulation, Jiang Wentian was about to explode with rage.

He had so much rage pent up inside him with no way to release it... He was so furious his temples throbbed, and a crazed look began to creep into his eyes.

By now, his clothes had been blasted to rags, and he looked utterly wretched. His hair stood on end in a wild mess.

To any outsider, he would have looked like a raving, unhinged madman.

He muttered endlessly, "Why... why..."

’Why can’t I kill that bitch Jiang Cen?’

’Why?’

Seeing that Jiang Wentian was on the verge of developing a Heart Demon, Song Wanning sighed and finally rose to her feet.

"Jiang Cen is an invader from another world. She is protected by her world’s Heavenly Dao, so you cannot kill her!"

"If you need help, I can slay her for you!"

’Jiang Wentian is a Supreme Elder of the Ancient Cold Sect. I can’t let him develop an incurable Heart Demon over this.’

Her words finally pulled Jiang Wentian back to his senses.

He recalled what Song Wanning had said back at the inn and had no choice but to accept the reality of the situation.

He clenched his fists and nodded at Song Wanning.

"As long as she dies... just kill her!!!"

He absolutely could not accept Jiang Cen surviving this. If she lived, his daughter would never be able to rest in peace!

"Alright!"

Song Wanning gave a slight nod, her gaze then falling upon Jiang Cen’s soul.

The soul, which had been dazed and confused, began to tremble with fear the moment it saw Song Wanning.

It was a fear that came from the very depths of its being.

Song Wanning’s eyes turned icy, her killing intent flaring.

’All invaders deserve to die!!!’

With a swing of her sword, a beam of light shot out and cleaved directly into the soul.

"AHH—"

A hoarse scream, filled with endless terror, echoed through the heavens before drifting away.

No Heavenly Tribulation appeared. There were no surprises.

Jiang Cen’s soul shattered with a boom, turning completely to ash and dissipating into the air.

Jiang Wentian watched in a daze. Only when the soul had completely vanished did he seem to come back to life.

He gave Song Wanning a long, meaningful look, clearly aware of how special she was.

’I was struck again and again by the Heavenly Tribulation, yet Song Wanning could slay her with ease.’

’From this alone, it’s clear that Song Wanning is a true Heavenly Dao’s Favored, a status no one can challenge.’

He glanced at his daughter’s body beneath the tree. The familiar aura was gone.

His daughter was well and truly gone.

Jiang Wentian closed his eyes, finally accepting this reality.

He gave Song Wanning a deep, formal bow, then flew forward, gathered his daughter’s body in his arms, and departed.

Song Wanning didn’t follow.

’Jiang Cen’s death was a foregone conclusion. Now, I have more important things to do!’
