Villainess Breaker: Raising Broken Beauties Against Destiny
Chapter 355: Greed Makes Them Stupid
On another side of the battlefield, Linsey and Garrick had already exchanged dozens of blows.
The [Tempest Severing Chakram] split into two crescent blades in Linsey’s hands as Wind Qi erupted around her feet.
She vanished in a blur, reappeared behind Garrick, and slashed toward his neck while simultaneously throwing the second crescent toward his waist.
Garrick twisted around.
CLANG!
His sword blocked the first blade before he kicked the second crescent away with condensed Qi.
Linsey laughed as the weapon curved through the air and returned to her hand. "Not bad, old man. You’re definitely more fun than your young master."
Garrick’s face darkened. "Do not compare me to that brat!"
His sword flashed.
[Sevenfold Gale-Splitting Sword]!
Seven overlapping sword arcs exploded outward.
Linsey immediately retreated, her body flickering between the attacks, but Garrick’s Nascent Soul perception followed every movement.
The fourth slash cut across her shoulder, while the fifth tore open her side.
Linsey grunted before the seventh struck her crossed crescent blades and sent her crashing through a tree.
BOOM!
She landed hard, blood running from the corner of her mouth.
Garrick approached slowly. "Did you really think possessing a King Grade weapon made you my equal?"
Linsey pushed herself upright and wiped the blood from her mouth before glancing down at the wounds on her body. "Wow. You actually hit pretty hard."
Garrick frowned.
Linsey’s grin quickly returned. "Good. I was getting worried this would be boring."
She rushed forward once more.
The two collided repeatedly, sword against crescent blades, Wind Qi tearing apart the ground around them.
Yet the longer the fight continued, the clearer the difference became.
Linsey’s cultivation was still too low, and using a King Grade weapon for such a long time was gradually putting more and more strain on her body.
Garrick quickly noticed it, and a grin spread across his face. "Hehe... so that’s your weakness!"
He suddenly drove his sword downward.
[Nascent Sword Domain]
Sword pressure erupted across the battlefield as countless invisible blades formed around Linsey, sealing off every escape route.
Her expression finally became serious. "Shit."
The sword pressure crashed down.
Linsey raised both crescent blades, desperately blocking the attacks coming from every direction, but even she couldn’t stop them all.
In the end, the sword arcs that slipped through her defense riddled her body with cuts.
One particularly heavy strike slammed into her ribs, sending her spinning through the air before crashing hard into the ground.
Garrick slowly approached her, breathing heavily but still wearing a smug smile. "You’re talented, I’ll give you that. Unfortunately, a Golden Core is still just a Golden Core."
He lifted his sword and raised it directly above Linsey’s head. "Now it’s over, bitch. DIE!"
Just before the blade could pierce her skull, Linsey’s eyes suddenly snapped open and a grin spread across her face. "Got you, old man!"
The two crescent blades floating high in the sky suddenly shot toward each other and reconnected, reforming into a complete chakram.
The reformed [Tempest Severing Chakram] began spinning so fast that its edges completely disappeared, leaving behind only a violent circular blur of compressed Wind Qi.
Garrick’s expression changed, but before he could react, the chakram vanished. In the next instant, a thin line flashed across his body.
For a moment, Garrick simply stood there with his sword still raised above Linsey’s head, not even realizing what had happened.
Then blood suddenly sprayed from his chest as the sword slipped from his fingers.
Garrick looked down in disbelief before his body split cleanly in two and collapsed heavily to the ground.
The chakram curved through the air and returned to Linsey, who barely managed to catch it.
She quickly stored it back inside her storage ring before laughing weakly. "Hehe... told you I was more fun than your young master."
Just as she finished laughing, Cynthia appeared beside her and looked down. "Good job, Linsey."
Linsey, now sprawled across the ground, gave another tired laugh. "Yeah, yeah... praise me later."
She closed her eyes and finally let her body relax. "Take me back first. I’ve got no fuel left, so... peace out."
Linsey immediately went into sleep mode.
Cynthia could only sigh as she glanced over Linsey’s injuries, though a soft smile appeared on her face. "Okay, okay. I’ve got you."
She carefully lifted Linsey onto her shoulder before heading back toward the base.
---
The surrounding forest had fallen completely silent, as every hidden cultivator nearby had witnessed just how terrifying this faction was.
Two Golden Core cultivators had just killed Nascent Soul elders. Even if they had relied on King Grade weapons, the result was still shocking.
Worse still, neither of them was even the strongest person in the [Forbidden Immortal Harem]. Their mysterious Master still hadn’t shown himself.
Because of this scene, several observers immediately lost every trace of greed and changed their minds.
One faction representative didn’t even wait for his companions to respond. "We’re leaving. Now. We’re not touching this fucking place."
Similar decisions were made throughout the forest as the hidden cultivators quietly withdrew, unwilling to gamble their lives against such a powerful and mysterious faction.
However, not everyone reacted that way. For some, their greed only intensified as they watched the two King Grade weapon users go down.
One hidden cultivator at the Peak Golden Core Realm stared at the battlefield with burning eyes. "Both King Grade weapon users are down... this might be our only chance."
He immediately crushed a communication talisman. "Send word to the sect. Tell the elders to come immediately."
Another cultivator did the same. "Tell the Patriarch we confirmed it. Not only do they have two King Grade weapons, but both users are currently out of commission."
Messages rapidly flew out from the forest toward multiple factions, and the battlefield was about to evolve into something far worse.
However, those blinded by greed had overlooked one crucial detail that the cultivators who chose to retreat had already realized.
It was true that two fighters from the [Forbidden Immortal Harem] were now down, but Linsey and Helena were merely harem members Damian had helped grow stronger.
None of the observers had realized that Cynthia and Evelyn also possessed King Grade weapons of their own.
More importantly, the person capable of casually giving out so many King Grade treasures had yet to make a move.
