She tried her best to hold back her urge to snatch the bottle from Lucien’s hand and directly gulp it down.

I mean it’s been 10 years since she last drank it. However, not breaking her lady like a composer, she sat patiently.

"Surprise! This was the gift I was talking about. I know how much you used to like it, and I am sure you must like it even now."

Lucien said happily before settling down on the sofa.

"Yes, I used to like it before, but not anymore. I mean it’s been so long since I have consumed any wine or alcohol let alone something like this."

She still kept her tough composer and waited patiently for Lucien to pour her a glass.

"Hmm, really? I was thinking that you must still like it. So I asked for this especially. Guess I have to drink both the bottles by myself. What a pity, I even thought of regularly sending you a bottle. But since you don’t like it, I have to cancel it."

Lucien said in disappointment before opening the cap of the bottle.

The fine rich aroma of the wine spread across the room in seconds.

It smelled like a fragrant flower garden. The sweet, nectar-like aroma entices the person to take a sip.

As soon as the smell of the wine entered Hannah’s nostril, she felt like she had been hit with a lightning bolt.

It was already painful to see Lucien open it, now with the smell of it, she felt an uncontrolled urge to take a sip.

Her mouth watered like crazy, her eyes fixed on the bottle.

Lucien was of course aware of her inner monologue. He knew exactly how much she liked it.

She used to gulp down a bottle daily, now after seeing it for so long, her urges must be uncontrollable.

However, he could just serve her everything on a silver platter.

He needed her to ask for it. Only then could he use the situation to his advantage.

He poured himself a glass of the wine and started to stir it slowly, finally after handling all the pre drinking procedures of a wine, he gulped down the entire glass at once.

"Haah! That really hit the spot! God it’s been so long since I drank it. It tastes exactly like it used to. The rich tropical island grape flavors. It’s too good."

He flattered before once again pouring a glass of it for himself.

Hannah’s eyes turned red. She was already suffering enough, now with his comment she was even more angry.

"Hmph! Looks like someone was just pretending to be a gentleman. Not even knowing the basic procedure of asking a lady."

"Gentleman? But I already asked you, didn’t I? In fact I brought this for you. You are the one who said that you didn’t want to drink. Wait! Don’t tell me you are asking for it now? Are you?"

Lucien’s words angered Hannah even more. She was practically fuming in anger.

"Hahahaha! Sorry, I was just kidding! Hahahaha! I mean it was so nice to tease you. Hahhaha!"

He laughed out loud before pouring one more glass for her.

"Who wants your wine! I was just speaking to myself."

"You really don’t want it? You may never get the chance to taste it again. You know, this may be the very last time we meet. And even if we meet again in the future, what are the chances that we will get to drink this wine?"

Hannah stared at him for a good five minutes before ’reluctantly’ picking up the glass of wine.

She stirred it slowly before taking a sip.

’It’s really been so long! God! I love it! It tastes exactly like it used to. Lucien, this bastard! Making me wait even while it was in front of him. I hope both sides of his pillow are warm when he goes to bed today. Hehehe’

Sip by sip she finished the entire glass in less than a minute.

She put down the glass on the table before ’unintentionally’ sliding out towards Lucien.

Lucien smiled at her actions before pouring her one more glass of it.

’Not accepting to bow down even at a moment like this. She was really a match made in heaven for the previous Lucien. Both extremely prideful and never accepting loss.’

Just like that, they both finished both bottles of wine in less than an hour.

Hannah picked up the last bottle with the intention of pouring her one more cup.

Unfortunately for her, the contents of the bottle were already finished.

"It’s finished already? I barely drank any of it. It must be you! Right? You were drinking more than me weren’t you?"

She was already intoxicated by the wine. Because unlike her words, the reality was different.

She was the one who had drank the most of the wine, Lucien had not consumed even a quarter of it.

For the sake of the night, he didn’t say anything and accepted the blame.

"Don’t worry! I have already asked my driver to bring more. He is already in his way. It will take him no more than 10 minutes."

Lucien couldn’t waste an opportunity like this, the night was still young. He had lots of things to do.

"While he is on his way, until then let’s watch the movie."

They both were so consumed with their thoughts and actions that they forgot the main part of today’s night.

Hannah drowned in liquor, while Lucien was busy making his plans.

He selected the movie before hitting the start button.

Within a matter of seconds, Hannah remembered details about the movie.

The movie’s name was, The Eternal Vow.

It followed the story of a young romantic couple, who were separated due to misunderstanding for years, before fate brought both of them together in later stages of life.

Not only that, it was also Hannah’s one of my favourite movies.

She always felt pity for the couple because they were separated for so long just because of a misunderstanding.

However, she felt like Lucien had other motives for playing this movie.
