Chapter 28: Hannah’s Emotions

Lucien pulled her even close to him until their bodies were touching each other.

He could feel her massive soft boobs pressing against his chest.

Her soft cold lips that felt heavenly just to touch.

Meanwhile Hannah was completely flabbergast.

She could register just what happened in the last 10 seconds.

The enormous yet gentle force that pulled her towards it.

The big palm of the hands that gently held her.

The big warm familiar yet unfamiliar body pressed against her.

Lastly the cold lips that were touching hers.

Her mind wanted to revolt and push back but her body seemed to freeze in place.

She felt like she was trapped unable to move, think or react to the situation she was in.

She couldn’t believe that Lucien would really go on and kiss her.

"What the fuck are you doing?"

She used all the strength she could gather in her body and parted her lips from his.

However she could still not break free from Lucien’s grip on her body.

"What do you mean by what I am doing? Didn’t I just say that I want to kiss you? And you yourself didn’t refuse the thought so I went ahead with it."

"LUCIEN NOCTIVAR you are married. I am not some cheap woman who you can kiss whenever you want. Especially after treating me like this for years."

"Have you forgotten the misery and pain you put me through just because of your ego?"

"The pain I had to go through just because of you? Don’t act like this after doing all this."

Hannah poured out her heart. She said the things she always wanted to say to him.

The pain, the longing, the misery, the embarrassment, the trauma she had to handle because he decided to abandon her.

Though she knew that he was not the one who did all that, in fact he did nothing to her. But the fact that he stood on the sideline watching her suffer when he could have easily saved her.

Although they were divorced she still believed that he must have her in her heart. Even just a bit if not much, but no!

He didn’t care, he ignored her and abandoned her like she meant nothing.

All the sleepless nights that she spent thinking about him while he didn’t even care if she was dead or alive.

How could she forget all that?

The promises he made to her. To always take care of her, to always be with her.

How could he break all of them like they meant nothing?

Not only that, he even went ahead and married someone else while she was still alone and suffering.

Although she knew that it was only an act for Lucien and he didn’t really get married because of his condition.

Still it hurt her more than she could describe.

She also had the option to move on and marry someone else.

In fact she needed that, because if she married any of the countless rich men who wanted her after her divorce she wouldn’t have suffered like this. But she didn’t get married.

" I am sorry. "

The cold heavy words echoed in her ears.

She finally couldn’t hold it in anymore. Her eyes brimmed with tears.

Her eyes filled with hatred, her face flushed with extreme anger.

Her hand latched forward as she grabbed his collar with both of her hands.

"Sorry? Sorry? What are you going to do? Can it return me the last 10 years of my life that were spent while suffering? While crying till I passed out? The humiliation I faced? The embarrassment I faced? How I had to beg my parents just to survive? Can it bring it back?"

Silence!

Absolute silence was all that could be heard.

Lucien stood there speechless.

Initially he wanted to use her but now after hearing her side of her story he couldn’t help but feel guilty and sorry for her.

Although it was not his fault but now that he was possessing this body it was only right to hear the consequences it held as well.

He could feel the pain she went through.

As someone who survived on bare minimum wage for years. He could feel her pain.

In fact it was even worse for her. Because he still earned enough to survive, but she? She had to depend on her parents to live. He could feel the embarrassment she must have felt. He has also gone through the same and he knew better than anyone how it felt.

However the bigger problem was her lifestyle. Astor survived all his life the same way, so he didn’t really fall or rise.

But her? She was a rich woman. Although Lucien was not as rich as he is today, it was still enough that she could spend more money without batting an eye than Astor and his family could earn in their lifetime.

Combined with the betrayal she must have felt and lastly her being a woman.

She must has gone through a roller coaster of emotion than he could possibly describe.

"I am sorry. Although I know I can’t bring anything back, at least I can make the future right."

"I won’t try to justify my actions or argue. I just want to apologize. You can hit me, shout at me or anything you would like. I will gladly receive the punishment."

Lucien apologized in the most earnest way he could possibly apologize.

Even Hannah could feel the honesty behind his words.

He was truly sorry for her. He emotionally meant every word he said.

However it was not enough. She can’t just forget 10 years or her misery just because of a mere apology.

"Forget it! What’s done is done. I don’t expect anything from you. Neither your apology nor your compensation. Just eat the food and leave. However, I want one promise from you."

"Don’t ever return again! I want to leave behind whatever happened in the past. If you really care about me, promise me this!"
