Villain Seduces to Rise in Status
Chapter 160 - Arsenal of Infinite Heavens.
Although it might seem like Cale’s absorption speed was absurdly fast, it truly wasn’t.
In reality, he was simply storing each soul in his body like a cauldron, using chaos flames to slowly scrape away at the soul from all sides until it was completely refined and absorbed. Any soul at Grandmaster Stage took approximately five minutes. The time increased exponentially for higher stages.
An Emperor Stage level soul required at least ten to fifteen minutes. But that speed was only possible because of the array assisting in refinement. Without it — like when he had absorbed the sea turtle’s soul directly; it could have taken him months to completely process these beast souls.
But now that his soul was that of an Emperor, it would definitely reduce the time.
After finishing his meditation, Cale got to his feet.
A new screen flashed before him:
[Spiritual Comprehension Speed: 1.9x]
[Soul Bodies : 8]
[Techniques Acquired: Flame Spirit Bomb, Holy Flame Creation]
Many of his bloodlines had evolved significantly. He had also obtained three additional pages from the Book of Endless Refinement.
Before this advancement, Cale had believed Genesis was a godly skill — the ability to create things from thin air. That assumption had been... naive.
Genesis was actually a technique for creating qi and mana constructs - beast phantoms, qi swords, spirit bombs, ink manifestations from his ink concept. Such things required Genesis to take realistic, durable forms. Not random objects like paper and sticks!
’Sigh... I was too naive. I didn’t think it worked like this and just went with the flow. Had I trained it properly...’
But what was the point dwelling on past mistakes? At least now he understood.
Genesis functioned as both passive and active skill; helping his creations achieve realistic forms composed of actual mana and qi, rather than purely spiritual items. This allowed them to deal both soul and physical damage simultaneously, making them far more versatile in combat.
Normal cultivators, even at Boundless stage couldn’t do this.
"That is indeed quite good," he nodded to himself.
But then he noticed something peculiar.
’My soul has... crystallized?’
It had been several hours since he had examined his body closely, but this was new. And of course, interesting.
"What the hell is this...?"
[As every cultivator enters Emperor Stage of Soul Cultivation, they gain a soul protection layer on their bodies. Due to host’s affinity to flames and multiple bloodlines, host has successfully formed Dragon Phoenix Scales.]
"Hmm? Dragon Phoenix Scales..." he mused.
This was his first time achieving Emperor Stage; and that too, in soul cultivation rather than physical cultivation. Of course he has never encountered anyone else who had reached Emperor Stage soul. Even Sesrir only possessed Master Stage level of soul cultivation.
He touched the scales carefully.
They were sharp, actual crystallizations of his soul into small dragon scales distributed across his body. They didn’t interfere with his clothes or soul armor at all, existing like an invisible protective layer worn overtop.
’So this likely protects my soul... with some physical defense capabilities too. Good, I guess.’
If he now achieved Emperor Stage in his body cultivation as well, he will gain the ability to walk on air itself, condensing qi at his feet to create a stable platform. Then his already-impressive speed would become truly terrifying, usable not just on land but throughout the sky.
Chaos truly was a fascinating and rare attribute, granting him capabilities he has never even contemplated.
He had inherited, or rather stolen... several techniques from his past life as aide to the Sect Leader’s daughter and future leader of the Heavenly Demon Cult, but those required fist and palm techniques specific to their royal demonic bloodline. Those would need separate training.
Setting aside such thoughts, he looked at Sesrir.
"Let’s go."
Sesrir nodded.
An hour later, Cale and Sesrir were floating in the air, directly in front of the hurricane walls.
They had left the safe zone.
Clasping his hands together, Cale created a Beast Phantom for the first time in his life.
A dragon phantom, not like those fictional dragons from stories, but the real thing. A creature with a serpentine body and small, powerful limbs, crowned with a huge flowing mane and radiating a fierce, primal aura that made the very air around it shimmer with barely-contained fury.
The dragon coalesced from his spiritual energy, its form solidifying as black scales materialized along its entire body, each one reflecting an inner darkness that seemed to absorb light itself. It opened its jaws and released a roar that echoed across the hurricane.
"Heh... now, go!"
The dragon slithered forward into the hurricane, moving faster than thought itself.
It descended upon the monster horde like an apocalypse, tearing through their ranks with devastating force.
Its claws raked through stone-hard exoskeletons as if they were paper. Its jaws crushed creatures whole. Every movement was deadly.
Cale himself didn’t remain still.
Floating directly above the hurricane’s center, he raised his hand.
Crack! Crack! Crack!
The space around him fractured, creating smaller holes to the void which grew progressively larger. Soon, hundreds of rifts had opened; gateways to his Arsenal of the Infinite Heavens!
With a single thought:
Swoosh!
Tens of weapons erupted from the rifts like bullets from an automated weapon. With swords, polearms, blades, shortswords, axes, katanas, everything imaginable. Each projectile found its target, some missed too... killing any enemy in its wake.
These were merely shadows of weapons, he could never gain access to true soul weapons already bound to dead cultivators.
All he was doing was channeling his own spiritual energy to sustain them indefinitely.
Once fired, he couldn’t control them like the Thorned Lotus, but they continuously refilled. In essence, he possessed infinite ammunition of these.
"Hahaha! Die! Die!" he shouted, killing hundreds of monsters without even drawing Noxis or unleashing his flames.
Sesrir could only remain at a distance, allowing Cale to continue the massacre. He himself lacked long-range attacks.
As they slowly cleared the area, Sesrir suddenly flew upward and his expression shifted.
Cale noticed immediately.
"What happened? What’s there?"
"Xin. He’s fighting a bull... well, a bull-like monster. And it’s quite huge."
Cale sighed.
"Don’t tell me your goody-good ass wants to help him."
"Huh? Kind as I may be, I’m not a damn fool! Ptui! Let him die," Sesrir spat.
They stood together, observing how Xin dealt with the creature...
