Villain of Fate: The Tyrant System
Chapter 405: The Beginning of the Counterattack
The Beginning of the Counterattack
"Lina, Liza, help me bring the medicinal herbs from the storage room."
The two women nodded before leaving together.
A short while later, they returned carrying several carefully wrapped bundles.
Julian accepted them one after another.
He calmly sorted each herb according to its purpose before crushing, grinding, and blending them with practiced precision.
His movements were smooth and confident.
Watching from nearby, Lucas was quietly astonished.
Although he knew Julian possessed extraordinary medical skills, seeing them firsthand was an entirely different experience.
Within minutes, the different herbs had been reduced to fine medicinal powder before being carefully poured into the steaming water.
The clear water gradually darkened as countless medicinal fragrances filled the room.
The rich herbal aroma spread through the bathhouse, carrying an invigorating vitality.
After checking the temperature once more, Julian looked toward Lucas.
"The medicinal bath is ready."
Then he turned toward Lina and Liza with a faint smile.
"You two should wait outside."
Both women tilted their heads curiously.
"And why is that?"
Julian shrugged helplessly.
"Because I need to treat him, and I don’t want either of you seeing another man naked."
For a brief moment, silence filled the room.
Then both women smiled.
Lina covered her lips with a soft laugh.
"So our Young Master can get jealous too?"
Liza folded her arms with an amused expression.
"We’ll pretend we didn’t hear that."
Julian coughed lightly.
"I’m being serious."
Their teasing smiles only grew wider.
"Fine."
Lina giggled.
"We’ll wait outside."
Liza nodded before following her.
The two women quietly closed the bathhouse door behind them.
The room immediately became much quieter.
Only the gentle bubbling of the boiling medicinal water remained.
Julian turned back toward Lucas.
"The tub is filled with various precious herbs."
He pointed toward the steaming bath.
"Go take your bath."
Lucas didn’t waste a single second.
Seeing the boiling medicinal water, he removed his clothes, stepped into the tub, and immersed himself without hesitation.
The nearly scalding water wrapped around his body.
Not even a sound escaped his lips.
He merely clenched his jaw.
Every muscle tightened as he silently endured the intense heat.
Julian observed him with quiet approval.
The strongest emotion in the world is hatred; love may expire, but hatred never does.
Only someone carrying that level of determination could withstand such suffering without complaint.
Satisfied that the treatment had begun properly, Julian spoke calmly.
"Remain here and relax."
"I’ll wait outside."
With those words, Julian left the bathhouse, allowing Lucas to focus entirely on absorbing the medicinal essence.
The quiet room gradually returned to silence.
Steam continuously rose from the surface of the water.
Time passed slowly.
Outside, the night became deeper.
Inside the medicinal bath, the herbs steadily released their healing properties into Lucas’s shattered body.
As time passes, hatred only becomes more deeply rooted.
Lucas remained completely motionless.
His breathing gradually synchronized with the rhythm of the medicinal energy flowing through his body.
Three hours slipped by.
The once-dark medicinal water had become noticeably clearer.
Most of its essence had already been absorbed.
After three hours had passed.
The medicinal water in the tub was nearly depleted.
Lucas slowly opened his eyes.
A sharp gleam flashed across them like lightning cutting through the darkness.
He slowly lowered his gaze toward his hands.
A wave of disbelief surged through him.
The nervous system throughout his body, destroyed by Steffan, had completely healed.
Warm spiritual energy flowed freely once again.
His cultivation had returned.
Not merely recovered...
It had stabilized once more at the peak of the Silver Realm.
Lucas took a deep breath.
His fists slowly tightened.
Power.
Real power.
He could finally feel it flowing through him again.
After getting dressed and stepping outside, he hurried through the guest room residence until he reached the living room of guest house.
Julian was already waiting there.
Without hesitation, Lucas rushed forward before dropping heavily onto both knees.
He bowed three times with complete sincerity.
Each bow struck the floor with unmistakable force.
"Thank you, Young Master Julian, for saving me from dire straits. I will never forget this kindness!"
Julian looked at him calmly before giving a faint nod.
"This is just the beginning."
He casually raised his hand and tossed three Mystic Life Fruits toward Lucas.
"Eat these three."
Julian tossed three Mystic Life Fruits toward Lucas.
Although he had recovered, his strength was only at the peak of the Silver Realm.
That level of strength was no longer sufficient.
Lucas instinctively caught the three fruits with both hands. The moment his eyes fell upon them, his breathing stopped.
His pupils shrank.
His fingers trembled.
He almost shouted in disbelief as recognition dawned on him.
These were Mystic Life Fruits.
Treasures that countless Old Martial Arts experts would willingly risk their lives to obtain.
Even one was enough to trigger fierce battles between powerful households and hidden sects.
Yet now...
Julian had casually handed him three of them.
For a long moment, Lucas simply stared at the fruits resting in his palms, unable to speak.
His heart pounded violently inside his chest.
He had betrayed the Obsidian Wing organization and followed Julian with nothing to offer except his loyalty and information.
Yet Julian never once questioned whether he deserved such priceless treasures.
He simply gave them away without hesitation.
Lucas slowly raised his head.
His blue eyes had already turned red.
Tears of gratitude streamed uncontrollably down his face.
He looked at Julian with absolute sincerity.
"Young Master Julian, this kindness can only be repaid with my life."
Every syllable carried genuine emotion.
There was no flattery.
No hidden agenda.
Only unwavering gratitude.
Julian merely smiled faintly.
To him, treasures only held value when they could strengthen useful people.
A loyal subordinate who possessed both ability and determination was worth far more than a few Mystic Life Fruits.
"Enough."
Julian waved his hand casually.
"Focus on your breakthrough."
Lucas nodded heavily.
Without wasting another second, he carefully sat cross-legged on the polished wooden floor of the guest residence.
