Chapter 477: Dugu Sheng's Jade Pendant

In an instant, Yun Meng Lake began to tremble violently. As the Five-Clawed Golden Dragon soared into the air, the entire lake churned and swirled, forming a massive waterspout that shot toward the heavens. It was as if the dragon was pulling all the water with it, attempting to lift the whole lake into the sky.

"Kid, if you make such a huge commotion, you're going to attract the attention of those troublesome fellows up in the heavens."

The Blood Dragon's voice murmured in Shen Daoxing's mind.

In the next moment, the small red snake slowly emerged from the Venerable Domain within Shen Daoxing's mind. It gently lifted its tiny tail and pointed it toward the sky.

Instantly, the skyward-rushing Five-Clawed Golden Dragon seemed to hit an invisible barrier, freezing in place. The soaring lake water also hung suspended for a moment before gradually falling back down.

After an unknown amount of time, the dazzling light from Shen Daoxing's Golden Body Dharma Aspect receded.

Shen Daoxing looked down and was surprised to find his Golden Body Dharma Aspect had become far more solid than before, brimming with explosive power. On his chest, a glittering golden Five-Clawed Golden Dragon was depicted, surrounded by seven rainbow-colored Wandering Dragons that appeared to be riding the clouds.

Shen Daoxing stared, stunned. He had succeeded in merging the two powers of Celestial Origin Spiritual Power and Earth Source Spiritual Power, but he'd never imagined that he would also unintentionally merge the Martial Kingdom's Dragon Vein into his Golden Body Dharma Aspect as well.

When Shen Daoxing moved his arms, the Five-Clawed Golden Dragon and the rainbow Wandering Dragons on his chest came to life, slowly swimming onto his arms.

"ROAR!"

A colossal dragon's roar echoed out from his arms, reverberating across the entirety of Yun Meng Lake. It was filled with an irresistible majesty, as if the Ancestral Dragon itself had descended, shaking the very heavens and earth.

Shen Daoxing felt a surge of joy and turned his gaze back to the Flood Dragon.

The beast was now cowering on the lakebed, its entire body trembling. It didn't even dare to glance at Shen Daoxing, its once-proud head bowed low.

The Ancestral Dragon was the progenitor of all dragons and possessed a natural ability to suppress others of its kind through its bloodline. As this Flood Dragon had not yet transformed into a true dragon, it was naturally unable to resist the primal fear welling up from the depths of its own blood.

Shen Daoxing silently shook his head. Then, with a light push from his feet, he shot upward, breaking through the lake's surface.

Shen Daoxing didn't do anything further to the Flood Dragon. After all, it was one of the few Refining Dust Realm demonic beasts in Yun Meng Lake and thus a rare sparring partner for him. With its tough hide, it could take a beating, unlike the other common demonic beasts in the lake that couldn't even withstand a single one of his punches.

After emerging from Yun Meng Lake, Shen Daoxing's body shrank back to its normal size as he deactivated his Heaven and Earth ability. He then returned to his personal chambers.

He then walked over to a meditation cushion, sat down, and began to cultivate.

Now that the Celestial-Origin Power and the Power of the Earth Source within his body had been rebalanced, Shen Daoxing no longer had to worry about suffering from cultivation deviation. This time, however, he wouldn't blindly absorb only Earth Source Primordial Energy.

However, just as he entered a meditative state, he paused, taken aback. He realized that through his repeated battles and the process of refining the fusion of the Celestial-Origin Power and the Power of the Earth Source, he had unknowingly broken through to the Third Layer of the Earth Profound Realm.

Shen Daoxing was pleasantly surprised.

Even so, Shen Daoxing did not grow complacent. He closed his eyes and focused completely on his cultivation.

Inside the Pengze Main Hall, Shen Daoxing's body shimmered with an iridescent, brilliant light. From time to time, rainbow-colored Wandering Dragons would emerge and circle around him.

Sensing the change, Shen Daoxing's brow twitched. He opened his eyes and stared, stunned, at the Jade Pendant floating before him.

This was the Inherited Jade Pendant Dugu Sheng had given him. According to her, this pendant would allow Shen Daoxing to sense her presence and find her, no matter where he was.

However, ever since he had left the Huangliang Secret Realm, the Jade Pendant had shown no reaction whatsoever.

'Wait! Why is the Jade Pendant suddenly reacting?'

Shen Daoxing shot to his feet.

The lustrous white Jade Pendant bobbed in the air before drifting out the window. Shen Daoxing hurried after it, watching as it flew straight ahead, diving through the clouds toward Pengze Immortal Island.

It spun a few times, as if getting its bearings, before finally flying away from the Immortal Island.

Shen Daoxing quickly mounted his sword to follow. Soon, the Jade Pendant reached the edge of Pengze Immortal Island, looking as if it was about to fly beyond its borders.

Suddenly, the Jade Pendant flashed once and fell from the air. Shen Daoxing quickly reached out and caught it. When he looked at it again, the lustrous white pendant had lost its glow and was completely inert.

Shen Daoxing frowned and looked in the direction the pendant had been heading. He was taken aback, for it had been flying toward Penglai Immortal Island.

Because its Island Master, Xu Fu, had turned traitor over a decade ago, Penglai Immortal Island had become a taboo subject within the entire Cyan Nether Sword Sect. The island was officially decommissioned, but that didn't mean it had ceased to exist. It was merely hidden away.

And the direction the Jade Pendant had been flying was precisely toward the location of Penglai Immortal Island.

As the Island Master of Pengze Immortal Island, Shen Daoxing naturally knew more secrets than the other disciples of the Cyan Nether Sword Sect.

He had read about the location of Penglai Immortal Island in the books left behind by Ancestor Dan Chen.

Then, swaying her graceful hips, Liu Ying slowly walked out from the woods.

Now that Pengze Immortal Island was essentially one with Shen Daoxing, he was aware of every single movement on it. No matter how good Liu Ying's concealment techniques were, she couldn't possibly have escaped his notice.

Shen Daoxing was unmoved by her act and said coolly, "Spit it out. What are you scheming this time?"

Liu Ying pouted, feigning a wounded expression. "Oh, my! How could you say that, little junior brother? In your eyes, am I really nothing more than a villainess?"

As she spoke, she shot Shen Daoxing a mournful glance. "I actually came here with good intentions, to give you something."

With that, she reached into her bodice and, with a flourish, produced a dark-green jade token. It was the Celestial Mirror Order of Penglai Immortal Island.
