His fingers found her clit. The combination was too much. His cock moving inside her. His chest against her back. His arm holding her firmly in place. His fingers working her clit while she was already balanced on the edge.

Naomi’s head fell back against his shoulder. The orgasm hit. She cried out as her entire body tightened around him. Her legs weakened almost immediately.

If Dorian hadn’t been holding her, she would have folded straight against the island. Instead, he took her weight, one arm locked around her as wave after wave moved through her.

She could barely breathe properly, much less continue her running commentary. He felt every contraction around him.

It nearly pushed him over the edge with her. He gritted his teeth and held on. He picked up his speed.

Naomi made a weak, breathless sound, still recovering as he drove into her harder. His abs tightened visibly with the effort, every line of his stomach standing out as his control started slipping.

His breathing had become rough. His jaw was clenched. The muscles in his arms flexed around Naomi as he held her against him, using his body to keep her steady while his own release built brutally fast. He let out a rough, almost howling groan as he pulled out at the last possible second.

He barely had time to get his hand around himself before he came, spilling across Naomi’s back while his whole body locked with the force of it.

Naomi, meanwhile, had completely surrendered to gravity. Her arms gave out beneath her and she dropped forward onto the kitchen island, cheek almost hitting the cool marble as she tried to remember how functioning limbs worked.

Dorian followed her down, bracing himself over her with one hand while the other rested on the island. For a few seconds, neither of them seemed capable of doing anything except breathe. "Oh my God..." he groaned again, except this time there was laughter buried inside it. "Ah, fuck."

Naomi started laughing too. He lowered his forehead between her shoulder blades, his chest still rising hard behind her. She turned her head enough to speak. "I think we need to redraft the contract."

Dorian lifted his head. "You think?!"

They both burst out laughing. He straightened slowly, shaking his head.

"I thought I was going to have a stroke."

Naomi smiled into the marble. This was the part she had been worried about. She had been worried about what came after.

It felt strangely simple.

Dorian reached for a couple of serviettes from the holder on the island. He wiped carefully at her back.

Naomi relaxed against the island, letting him clean her up.

"You’ve got a nice ass."

Naomi turned her head. "Aww, thank you." She slowly pushed herself upright and looked at him. "And you’ve got a nice..." Her eyes travelled down his bare chest, lingering shamelessly before coming back up. "Everything." She bent down and picked up her dress from the floor. She shook it once, then pulled it over her head and smoothed the fabric back into place.

Her underwear presented a different problem. She bent, dragged it back up her legs and immediately frowned. She tugged at the waistband.

The elastic had gone slack.

Worth it.

Absolutely worth it.

Sacrificing one flimsy pair of underwear for sex like that was a perfectly acceptable business expense as far as she was concerned.

She would sacrifice a hundred more if necessary. Well, maybe not a hundred. Underwear cost money.

And she still had seven million dollars of debt.

Naomi pushed the thought aside. Tonight, she wanted this. He bent and picked something else off the floor.

"Skipped one."

Naomi looked over. Her bra dangled from his fingers. "I can do without that one for the rest of the night."

His gaze dropped immediately to her chest. "So, they are just going to be bare beneath that dress?"

Naomi caught the swallow that followed. "Oh my God. Get your mind out the gutter."

"My mind was fine until you announced that." Dorian looked at the bra again before placing it on the island.

Naomi reached for her wine glass and downed what remained in it. She set the glass down and looked at the abandoned dinner. "Come on, let’s eat."

Dorian pulled his trousers properly into place before reaching for his shirt. He buttoned only a few of the buttons. "Do you have plans for tomorrow?"

"I’m going to Mass, that’s all," Naomi answered.

Dorian had rounded the island to return to his abandoned dinner, but he stopped before sitting down. "You go to church?"

Naomi looked at him as though the question itself were strange. "Yes. Why do you sound so surprised?"

"I don’t know. I’ve never heard you mention it."

"Well, now you know." She cut another piece of steak. "It was something my mum told me to always do. She said the only love you should have in your life should be God."

Dorian paused with his hand around his wine glass. There it was. An opening so perfect it might as well have arrived with a spotlight. He had spent the last few days wondering how the hell he was supposed to ask about her mother without making it obvious that he already knew far more than Naomi had ever willingly told him. He had promised to stay out of her business after the disaster with Adrian’s investigation, and he had meant it at the time.

"What was she like? Your mother?"

Naomi’s fork slowed. "She was beautiful. Gentle, oh, and hardworking. She was a lecturer."

"What happened?"

Naomi put her fork down and looked directly at him. "I know you know, Dorian. You don’t have to ask questions just for conversation."

His expression remained neutral, although internally he cursed. Naomi might talk enough to occasionally lose track of her own point, but she wasn’t stupid. "I know some of it...That doesn’t mean I know it from you. I want to know you."
