Undead Lord: Starting All Over With Infinite Mana & Fusion
Chapter 72: Falling Star
Morghanna hovered high above the battlefield, crimson mana swirling around her like a raging storm.
The newly ascended Chief stared down at Cassian, her eyes shining with newfound clarity.
"You have my thanks, Cassian Voss."
Her voice rolled across the valley like distant thunder. "You helped me achieve what I could not accomplish for years. Because of that, I will show you mercy."
The surviving Orcs immediately erupted into shocked murmurs.
Morghanna ignored them completely. "As thanks for my breakthrough, I will allow you to live. Take your army and leave my dominion. Never return, and today’s battle ends here."
The council elders were instantly horrified.
"Chief!"
"You can’t be serious—"
"We have them cornered!"
Morghanna merely glanced toward them, a single, sharp look. That was all it took. The elders lowered their heads and fell dead silent.
Only then did Morghanna return her attention to Cassian, waiting.
Cassian stood calmly in the center of the devastated courtyard, the wind rustling his dirty-blond hair.
Then, he sighed softly. "Unfortunately, I will have to decline your offer."
Morghanna’s smile faded slightly.
"I didn’t come all this way just to leave empty-handed. The purpose of my visit remains unchanged, I came here to conquer this territory."
Silence descended over the battlefield.
Then, Morghanna smiled.
"That is what I expected," the excitement within her crimson eyes intensified. "But do not blame me, Cassian Voss. I gave you a chance."
Nyxara’s grip tightened around her dark scythe, her violet eyes narrowing to slits.
Every instinct screamed at her to intervene, yet she remained still. Her Lord had not issued a command, which meant he intended to face this monumental threat himself.
Far above the ruined settlement, Morghanna slowly raised her right hand.
The moment she did, the world responded.
RUMBLE!
The ground shook violently as invisible gravitational currents spread outward. Weapons trembled in dead hands, ancient trees bent, and colossal chunks of stone tore themselves free from the earth.
Morghanna’s authority over mass had reached a terrifying domain after her breakthrough.
With microscopic precision, she manipulated tens of thousands of objects simultaneously, constructing a celestial phenomenon through pure gravitational force.
Hundreds, thousands, and tens of thousands of boulders rose into the emerald sky, spiraling around her outstretched palm.
The stone mass twisted upon itself as layers formed over layers, cracks sealed, and density sky-rocketed.
Everyone below watched in stunned, paralyzed silence.
A boulder? No, calling it a boulder was laughable.
Its size expanded relentlessly: ten thousand meters, twenty thousand meters, thirty thousand meters.
The construct grew larger with every passing second, darkening the sky beneath its massive shadow while the air groaned beneath its weight.
Cassian turned calmly toward Nyxara. "Leave with the others."
Nyxara looked at him, hesitating for a fraction of a second, before bowing deeply. "As you command, my Lord."
She rose instantly and turned toward the army, her voice echoing across the battlefield: "The Lord has ordered a retreat! Withdraw immediately!"
The summons obeyed without a moment’s hesitation. SSS-Grade Commanders began directing their respective battalions away, Special Units retreated in orderly formations, and even the Death Chanters ceased their battlefield melodies to fall back.
The Orcs didn’t need to be told twice either, the moment they realized what Morghanna was creating, they fled for their lives.
Nobody wanted to remain anywhere near the impact zone.
Above them all, the construct continued growing until it resembled a miniature moon suspended above the battlefield.
The gravitational pull alone became overwhelming, loose stones floated upward, and dust spiraled toward the artificial celestial body as space distorted around it.
Morghanna stood beneath her creation like a goddess commanding a fallen star. She looked down at the lone figure remaining in the center of the crater: Cassian Voss.
"One last chance," her voice carried across the entire dominion. "Any final words?"
Cassian looked up at the colossal moon filling his vision.
A smile spread across his face, not fear, not hesitation, but pure, unadulterated excitement.
"Bring it on."
Morghanna’s grin widened into a feral snarl. "As you wish."
Her raised hand descended.
And the heavens fell.
The colossal construct plunged toward the earth, its descent tearing through the sky as the atmosphere ignited around its surface, unleashing a deafening roar that shook the very foundations of the Graveshade Expanse.
Its shadow swallowed the battlefield whole.
The earth cracked beneath the overwhelming gravitational pressure while the air screamed around the falling mass.
What had once resembled a boulder now looked like a celestial body descending to erase everything beneath it.
Yet Cassian remained unmoving.
Time seemed to slow.
His mind rapidly cycled through every option available to him.
Yesterday’s preparation flashed through his thoughts. Unlike his summons, Cassian lacked years of experience with their abilities.
What he possessed instead was preparation.
He had spent hours studying the skills of his summons, finding techniques that were simple, techniques that didn’t require decades of practice, and techniques that could be mercilessly abused by someone possessing infinite mana.

And finally, the shadow circles.
Cassian glanced at the three violet constructs resting on his forearm, a cold smile appearing on his face.
They were originally nothing more than a giant circle, the simplest construct imaginable.
Yet after being compressed countless times, their density had reached an absurd level, the force generated by a direct impact enough to reduce most opponents into crimson mist.
And despite that... Morghanna had endured every single hit.
Cassian understood exactly what that meant. The Chief was strong, monstrously strong, and definitely stronger than anyone he had personally faced across both lives.
Which was precisely why he had no intention of holding back.
Mana erupted from his body.
The ground beneath his feet shattered as cerulean energy surged from every pore of his existence.
The Lord Seed within his chest blazed with blinding light, unleashing infinite mana that flooded outward like a broken dam.
The colossal moon continued its catastrophic descent, the distance between it and Cassian shrinking at a terrifying rate.
Then, Cassian spoke, his voice echoing clearly across the deserted battlefield:
"[Knight’s Honor]"
