It was already morning by the time Su Luoluo returned to the Wolf Clan Tribe with her people.

Having just received a batch of light and practical pottery, the Ring-tailed Fox Monkey Beastmen revered Su Luoluo even more. They enthusiastically invited her to their tribe for a meal, but Su Luoluo politely declined.

After a bumpy journey, she just wanted to rest. Waiting for a meal to be cooked from scratch would take too long, so she planned to get something to eat from Cai Xia’s place and then go back to her little wooden cabin to sleep.

The Fox Monkey Beastmen wanted to persuade her further, but Si Cheng stopped them.

He could tell the leader was exhausted. Besides, he had recently noticed some disturbances in the celestial phenomena; it was better for the leader to get more rest.

After bidding farewell to the Fox Monkey Beastmen, Su Luoluo arrived at the plaza.

Cai Xia was currently leading a group of females in cooking. Su Luoluo walked over and asked with a smile, "Is there any food?"

When Cai Xia saw Su Luoluo approaching, she beamed at her. "Yes, of course, there is! We’re having braised fish today. Wait here, I’ll get you a serving."

As she spoke, Cai Xia handed the spatula to Ah Zhu, who was beside her. Then, she scooped some of the cooked fish into a bowl and handed it to Su Luoluo.

Su Luoluo looked at the glistening red fish, and her mouth instantly began to water.

Seeing her eat one mouthful after another, Cai Xia said with a laugh, "You certainly eat more than before now that you’re carrying a little cub. It’s been almost two months, right? You should be starting to show soon."

"My belly started to grow right when my cravings hit, but you seem to be showing a bit later than I did."

At her words, Su Luoluo looked down at her own stomach. ’They say your belly gets bigger when you’re pregnant. I feel like it’s been so long, but I haven’t seen any change at all. I thought I’d have to wait longer, but Cai Xia says it’ll be soon.’

’Though, I have felt a bit more fat on my stomach these past few days. I just thought I was gaining weight, but it seems that’s not it.’

"I do think I’ve gained a little weight recently," Su Luoluo said with a nod.

"Gaining weight while carrying a cub is normal. And I think you’ve gotten much prettier, too."

’Have I gotten prettier?’

Su Luoluo hadn’t looked in a mirror and hadn’t really noticed.

’Now that Cai Xia mentioned it, she recalled that when she was bathing, her eyes seemed much bigger in her reflection. She wondered if it was because of the cub.’

As the two were chatting idly, a clear and pleasant voice suddenly sounded by her ear. "You must be Su Zhao’s sister, Luoluo? You’re really beautiful."

Su Luoluo looked up at the sound of the voice and saw a female with delicate brows and large eyes smiling at her.

’Her skin was quite fair, and she looked gentle and sweet. She’s pretty, but I don’t recognize her. She isn’t from the tribe; she looks like a complete stranger.’

She glanced at Cai Xia. "This is?"

Cai Xia introduced her with a smile, "This is Hong Shuang."

Then she whispered in Su Luoluo’s ear, "Su Zhao brought her back."

Su Luoluo nodded upon hearing this. "Hello, Hong Shuang."

’This Hong Shuang is pretty and seems well-behaved. Looks like Su Yang won’t have to worry anymore; Su Zhao has found a female for himself.’

Hong Shuang looked at Su Luoluo with an expression of pure admiration. "I finally get to see what the Heavenly Girl looks like! You truly are as beautiful as you are kind. It’s all thanks to you that our pestilence was cured."

Su Luoluo smiled. "It was due to the Heavenly God’s guidance. The credit isn’t mine alone."

"But I still think you’re amazing," Hong Shuang praised earnestly.

Cai Xia stood to the side, smiling. "Luoluo is certainly amazing, but you’re not bad either. You just arrived yesterday, and you’ve already helped us females with so much and even learned how to cook all sorts of fish dishes."

Su Luoluo was a little surprised. "You learned how to cook fish that quickly?"

Hong Shuang looked a bit embarrassed. "It’s nothing. I’m used to doing a lot of work, so I pick things up quickly. Besides, the food in the tribe is so delicious, I just wanted to learn as much as I could."

’Su Nuannuan fancies herself a good cook, but in my opinion, she can’t compare to the females of this Wolf Clan at all.’

’If I learn to cook well here, I’ll be able to make delicious meals when I get back to my tribe. Then, Brother Hei Feng will have no reason not to fall for me.’

The three of them were chatting when Lan Ya walked over. She said to Hong Shuang with a wide smile, "Hong Shuang, come over here for a moment. Help me see how this Beast Skin Skirt I made looks."

Hong Shuang replied, "Alright!" then smiled at Cai Xia and Su Luoluo. "I’ll head over now. The Leader’s Wife is calling me."

After Hong Shuang left, Su Luoluo watched her retreating back and said, "It seems my Mother quite likes her."

Cai Xia scoffed. "You can say that again. Hong Shuang has a good temperament and a sweet tongue. She’s got the Leader’s Wife grinning from ear to ear. You know she’s never in that good of a mood when she sees you."

"I’m used to it," Su Luoluo replied, unbothered.

’Lan Ya had never liked her. Ever since she saved Su Yang, Lan Ya had been much quieter recently and hadn’t come looking for trouble, which was good enough for her.’

"Where did this Hong Shuang come from?" Su Luoluo asked, taking a bite of the fish from her bowl.

"According to Su Zhao, he found her on the way back to the tribe after trading for salt in the city. She had fainted on the ground, and her Father and Mother had died in the pestilence, so Su Zhao brought her back with him."

"Found her on the road? Su Zhao sure is lucky."

"You can say that again. I’ve seen how attentive he is to Hong Shuang. Looks like you’ll have a sister-in-law before long," Cai Xia teased.

Su Luoluo didn’t feel strongly about it. She didn’t particularly care for Su Zhao, but they rarely saw each other, so it didn’t affect her much.

’However, seeing Su Zhao about to bond with a female, she was suddenly reminded of the letter Black Bear had written him. She still hadn’t asked him about it.’

She had originally planned to sleep after eating, but thinking of this, she turned away from her little wooden cabin and headed for Xi Yi’s place instead.

Xi Yi’s wooden cabin door was ajar, not fully closed. He was inside, squinting as he used a specially made stone knife to drill into a tortoise shell, blowing the dust away as he worked.

Seeing the door open, Su Luoluo walked in. She hadn’t expected to see Xi Yi working on a tortoise shell the moment she stepped inside.

Her steps halted instantly. ’Who knew Xi Yi was performing a Divination? If I’d known, I wouldn’t have come in.’

’I’m just asking for trouble.’

Su Luoluo lifted her foot to retreat, but Xi Yi teleported in a flash, appearing right in front of her. He blocked her path, bending down to look at her, his lustrous eyes crinkling with a smile. "Luoluo, you came! Are you here to tell me when we’ll perform the Contract Totem ceremony?"

Su Luoluo pressed her lips together, about to say something, when Xi Yi reached out a finger and pressed it against her lips. "Don’t tell me yet. Let me guess... is it this month?"

"I’ve just finished preparing the tortoise shell. I can use it to divine the right day."

’This Xi Yi’s train of thought is always so strange,’ Su Luoluo thought.

She slapped his hand away from her lips and took a few steps back, saying nonchalantly, "You’re getting ahead of yourself. I came to ask for your Mother’s mailing address. I want to send her a letter, too."
