To be fair, what Bai Meng said wasn’t exactly narcissistic. The females of the Beast World Continent looked for those very same qualities when choosing a beastman.

The problem was, she wasn’t from this Beast World. The standards he spoke of, the criteria of his world, were simply not on her list.

Su Luoluo parted her lips. "You’re a good person. You don’t need to change anything. It’s just..."

"Just what?"

"It’s just that she’s not into you! Does a female really need to spell it out for you?"

Mo Xuan, hiding nearby, couldn’t stand to listen any longer. Bai Meng was just dithering. Luoluo had already made herself perfectly clear, so why was he still clinging to her so relentlessly?

He nodded, "I know they’re doing it on purpose. Don’t worry, I won’t take their words to heart.

"They were so cruel to you before, yet you still took them in. That just shows how kind you are. But Luoluo, I won’t give up."

’Those guys were so awful to Luoluo before, yet she took them back. I’m no worse than them, so there’s no reason for Luoluo to reject me.’

’She probably just doesn’t know me well enough yet, or maybe she’s just worried about what those guys think. That must be why she hasn’t accepted me.’
