Ugly, Fat, and Vicious? My Five Beast Husbands Are Obsessed Anyway

Chapter 189: Chapter 191: Intercepted
"Are you sure Su Luoluo will come out if we say this?" Mo Xuan asked doubtfully.
"Of course. She said so herself—if that wolf stirred, we were to come and tell her. I’m just doing as she asked," Xiao Ye said, glancing up.
"That may be so, but I doubt that Black Bear inside will let her go. This is his first time, after all," Fu Feng said, still skeptical.
If his own good time were to be interrupted, he wouldn’t let the person leave so easily.
These two had insisted on telling Su Luoluo the news that the wolf had woken up, all to ruin that Lizard’s good time.
He had to admit, it was a pretty low blow. He was half-expecting Xi Yi to come looking for them to settle the score after being interrupted.
Hearing this, Xiao Ye snorted. "What’s there to be afraid of? There are three of us and one of him. You think we can’t win?"
"Who’s afraid? I just don’t think our chances of success are very high," Fu Feng said calmly.
The three of them had been watching over the wolf when it suddenly woke up. Xiao Ye was the one who proposed telling Luoluo.
’That black-hearted bastard. Everyone knows today is Xi Yi’s turn, yet he still went to tell Su Luoluo in the dead of night.’
’His malicious intentions were painfully obvious, but... it was exactly what he’d been hoping for.’
He didn’t want that Black Bear to get too smug, either.
And just like that, the three of them reached a despicable yet unspoken agreement.
For Su Luoluo, Mo Xuan’s words were a godsend.
She had never wanted to give Mo Xuan a medal more than she did at this moment.
She smiled as she removed Xi Yi’s hand, then straightened her slightly disheveled clothes. "That wolf is awake, so something’s come up. I have to go. We can talk about... this... later."
Xi Yi’s eyes narrowed as he nodded. "Alright. I’ll be waiting for you, Luoluo. But if things don’t work out this time, your Black Bear Mother might just pay a visit."
Su Luoluo froze for a second at his words, but she still scrambled out of bed, opened the door, and walked out.
Hearing a CREAK, the three men all looked up.
Mo Xuan shot Xiao Ye a smug glance. "Your predictions are scarily accurate. You actually got Su Luoluo to come out."
"I didn’t expect that bear to be so useless he couldn’t even keep Su Luoluo here," Xiao Ye replied, his eyes narrowing with a mix of mockery and surprise.
Xi Yi watched Su Luoluo walk away but didn’t chase her. He didn’t leave, either.
He lay on Su Luoluo’s beast skin bed, his gaze sweeping over the room, his eyes full of amused contemplation.
’This time, I’d like to see what Su Luoluo will do.’
’Her adoptive mother should be found soon. And this letter I have needs to be made more convincing, and fast.’
When Su Luoluo got outside, she realized all three of them had come. ’Was it really necessary for so many people to deliver one piece of news?’
’These guys must have too much time on their hands.’
"When did the wolf wake up?" Su Luoluo asked, looking at them.
"Just now," Fu Feng replied.
Su Luoluo gave the three of them a knowing look. "You got here pretty fast, then."
’So they came the instant the wolf woke up. No wonder,’ she thought. ’Why else would all three of them come to tell me something so minor in the middle of the night?’
’These petty schemes... tsk tsk.’
Shaking her head in amusement, Su Luoluo said to the trio, "Alright, let’s go. I’ll go check on it."
The four of them headed out of the tribe under the cover of darkness, arriving a short while later.
The light was poor at night, so Su Luoluo took out a Luminous Pearl, which instantly illuminated the area as if it were day.
She used her Water Element for purification, then, with a mere thought, extended a vine from her palm. In moments, its tendrils reached the wolf.
Su Luoluo could feel that its body temperature had returned to normal, the scorching heat from the daytime gone. Its lungs were functioning properly, and it was breathing just like a healthy wolf.
"Excellent, it worked!" Su Luoluo said, retracting the vine with a joyful expression.
The three men were shocked to hear Su Luoluo declare the wolf completely healed.
When they had captured the wolf that day, it had been on the verge of death. They never imagined that after Su Luoluo did something with a cotton swab, it would be brought back from the brink.
They felt that Su Luoluo was becoming more and more incredible.
On top of being able to cook, make pottery, and purify salt, she could now heal the sick.
Their admiration for Su Luoluo deepened, and their gazes burned as they looked at her.
However, Su Luoluo didn’t notice the starry-eyed looks they were giving her. Once she confirmed the wolf was fine, she grabbed Mo Xuan and said, "Take me to my Father’s place."
Mo Xuan nodded and teleported with Su Luoluo to Su Yang’s small wooden cabin.
Su Luoluo looked at the closed door, summoned a pillar of water, and slammed it against the entrance. With a loud BANG, the door burst open.
Inside, Su Yang was asleep on the beast skin bed, his face flushed and his lips cracked. He didn’t look well.
Su Luoluo used her vine to examine him and found that his fever had returned.
She quickly used her Water Ability to bring down his temperature. Once it stabilized, she took out a cotton swab carrying a smallpox scab, held it before Su Yang’s nose, and gently blew a puff of air to send the particles into his nostrils.
After doing all this, Su Luoluo stood up and went outside.
By now, the night had grown deep.
Su Luoluo was so sleepy she could barely keep her eyes open, yawning one after another, but she couldn’t leave yet.
She had just administered the treatment to Su Yang and needed to monitor his condition and watch for any reactions.
Although she had tested it on a wolf of the same species, there were still differences between beasts and Beastmen. As someone from the Post-apocalypse, Su Luoluo had no idea how significant the physiological differences were.
To be safe, she had no choice but to stay and keep watch.
Seeing Su Luoluo finish her work but remain standing there, Mo Xuan spoke up, "Aren’t you going back to sleep?"
’It couldn’t be that she’s too embarrassed to face Xi Yi after we dragged her out, could it?’
’That bear is such an idiot. The female runs off and he doesn’t even chase her.’
’He’s just giving such a golden opportunity away to someone else.’
Although his own turn wasn’t for another half a day, Mo Xuan figured it couldn’t hurt to move things up. Since that Black Bear didn’t seem to care, he’d take his place. "Luoluo, why don’t you come sleep at my place?"
Su Luoluo, delirious with sleep and in the middle of a yawn, vaguely heard Mo Xuan speak but didn’t catch what he said. "Sleep what?"
The moment she said that, Xiao Ye snorted with laughter. "How embarrassing."
Fu Feng, who had just been thinking he was a step too slow, now sneered at Mo Xuan after hearing Su Luoluo’s "rejection." "Mo Xuan, you’re just too impatient."
"What are you two laughing at? Don’t tell me you weren’t thinking the same thing," Mo Xuan retorted, indignant at their mockery.
Xiao Ye couldn’t be bothered to argue with the brute. He walked over and offered his shoulder. "Luoluo, get some sleep. I’ll watch the leader for you. If anything happens, I’ll wake you."
Su Luoluo could barely keep her eyes open. She mumbled an instruction, "Check if he’s running a fever. If his face gets red, you have to wake me."
Xiao Ye’s lips curled into a smile. "Got it."
A moment later, Su Luoluo was fast asleep on Xiao Ye’s shoulder.
Fu Feng watched Xiao Ye’s slick move, mentally taking vigorous notes.
’When did Xiao Ye become as shameless as Luan Ting?’
When Mo Xuan saw Su Luoluo asleep on Xiao Ye’s shoulder, he silently scorned him.
’That snake is truly devious. After mocking me, he still ended up holding Su Luoluo anyway.’
