Chapter 155: Chapter 157: Luan Ting Is Gentle but Not to Be Trifled With

’Drama Brain’—it didn’t sound like a good thing.

The thought of several of her Beastmen crowding around her, wanting to be with her 24/7, was exhausting for Su Luoluo.

She looked horrified. "System, don’t tell me I have to turn these guys I’ve already romanced to the ’Filter Brain’ stage into ’Drama Brains’ who want to be stuck to me 24/7."

Forget actually doing it—just the thought of that scene was exhausting for Su Luoluo.

"Host, if you don’t want to increase your score, you can ignore this and proceed directly to romancing the next level."

"Wait, I already have a hundred points. How can there still be more to gain?"

"Friendly reminder: The maximum score for a single romance target is 1,000 points. Your current highest score for a target is 100."

Su Luoluo: "..."

’So, it seems this ’Drama Brain’ level is unavoidable,’ she thought. ’Otherwise, how will my score go up?’

Su Luoluo said, giving up a little, "They want to be stuck to me 24/7? I can’t exactly cut myself into pieces to keep them all company, can I?"

She didn’t have a Clone Technique.

"Host, do not worry. The system recognizes that this operation is somewhat difficult. It is sufficient to confirm that the romance target *wants* to be with you at all times."

Hearing this, Su Luoluo breathed a sigh of relief. That was more reasonable.

"So, what’s the specific sign of that?"

"The system will issue a notification when the time comes."

Only then did Su Luoluo feel completely relieved.

...

Su Luoluo, being pregnant with cubs, could walk away as if nothing had happened. Luan Ting, however, could not.

After Su Luoluo left, the others instantly turned their gazes to Luan Ting, who was lying on the ground.

Ever since Su Luoluo became pregnant with cubs, they had repeatedly made allowances for her, waiting for her to come around on her own. They had assumed everyone was on the same page.

Who would have thought that Luan Ting, who always seemed so proper and magnanimous, would secretly get together with Su Luoluo behind their backs.

Luan Ting needed to give them all a clear explanation. What was the meaning of this?

And he had even chosen a patch of wild grass.

Instead of sleeping in a spacious, clean wooden hut, he came to a grassy field like this. If it wasn’t to hide from them, then what was it for?

"Well? What are you going to do to resolve this?" Xiao Ye crossed his arms, tilting his chin up at the man before him.

Luan Ting heard him, brushed the stray grass from his clothes, and said with a calm expression, "Resolve what?"

"Luan Ting, don’t play dumb. You owe everyone an explanation for what happened today, no matter what." Fu Feng couldn’t believe it. He never thought he’d see the day Luan Ting would act so shamelessly.

Luan Ting remained perfectly composed. He unhurriedly plucked a piece of grass from his Beast Skin Skirt that he hadn’t been able to brush off and said serenely:

"What is there to explain? Luoluo and I are totem-bonded. What we do together is the most natural thing for a mated pair. What, do I need to give you a heads-up before we mate, too?"

"So that’s it! Luan Ting, so this is the kind of person you are. I really misjudged you," Fu Feng said, his face filled with indignation.

"It’s not too late to get to know the real me," Luan Ting replied, his expression unchanged.

Xiao Ye watched the blunt-speaking man, the corner of his mouth twitching into a sneer. "So you’ve finally dropped the act. All those fake smiles were getting annoying."

He’d been right to keep an eye on him. Compared to the others, Luan Ting was the biggest threat.

Luan Ting paid Xiao Ye’s words no mind. As he walked past him, he chuckled softly. "As long as Luoluo likes it, that’s all that matters."

Seeing Luan Ting about to walk away, Mo Xuan called out to him, his face a picture of disbelief. "You’re just going to leave like that?"

Luan Ting didn’t turn back, his footsteps unwavering. His clear, smooth voice drifted through the air: "What happened today couldn’t have happened if I was the only one who wanted it."

Mo Xuan’s face turned livid as he watched the retreating figure. "What does he mean by that? Is he mocking me?"

’It couldn’t happen if he was the only one who wanted it... Is he saying Su Luoluo wanted it too, and that’s why they got together?’

How had he never noticed it before? Luan Ting’s every word was gentle, but each one was laced with daggers.

Xi Yi’s lips curled into a smile. "Luan Ting is reminding us that his place in Luoluo’s heart is special. That as long as he wants her, Luoluo will be with him."

"And on top of that," Xi Yi continued with a soft chuckle, "he’s mocking us for being less skilled."

’Interesting. This Luan Ting is more than he seems.’

"What’s so great about that? He’s just full of tricks!" Fu Feng said dismissively.

Nantu, who rarely spoke, opened his mouth. "It seems Luan Ting is determined to win. We underestimated him."

That was right. A man who could become Su Yang’s right-hand man couldn’t possibly be simple.

For a moment, all five men fell silent, their eyes swirling with indescribable emotions.

And so, the night where Luan Ting had stirred up such a storm finally passed, eventful but without any real disaster.

Su Luoluo slept soundly through the night. After a long stretch, she got out of bed and walked to her door.

She’d been eating breakfast made by the Beastmen for days on end and was getting a bit sick of it. Today, no matter what, she was going to cook herself something delicious and treat her stomach right.

But as soon as she opened the door, she found six men standing there in a neat line, all holding pottery bowls.

Su Luoluo glanced over them and said lazily, "What’s everyone standing here for? You all holding out bowls, begging for food?"

When Fu Feng saw Su Luoluo, he immediately rushed over with his bowl, full of attentiveness. "What do you mean, begging? Luoluo, I made you breakfast! Look, these are egg pancakes I just made. They’re delicious."

After Fu Feng went back yesterday, he’d had a long, hard think. Luan Ting had a firm hold on Su Luoluo because he knew how to cook, right?

What was so great about that? He could learn too.

So, he had gotten up bright and early to go to the outdoor kitchen and make these crispy, golden-brown egg pancakes.

It was his first time ever cooking, so he was understandably excited and hopeful.

Su Luoluo glanced at the egg pancakes Fu Feng offered. They did look good—golden-brown and glistening—but she’d been eating egg pancakes for days and was honestly getting sick of them.

She gave a noncommittal nod. "They look good."

Hearing this, Fu Feng’s face lit up. ’It looks like knowing how to cook really is important,’ he thought. ’Su Luoluo even praised me.’

He licked his lips, about to say something else, but Mo Xuan hip-checked him out of the way and presented his own corn cakes to Su Luoluo. "What about me? Su Luoluo, I made you corn cakes. What do you think? Not bad, huh?"

Su Luoluo glanced at them. They looked good too, but were too greasy. She gave another noncommittal nod. "These also look good."

Hearing this, Mo Xuan’s smile widened. "Then take them. You can have these for breakfast today."

Su Luoluo stifled a yawn and shook her head. "They do look good, but I was planning on having something new today, so I’ll pass."

"Something new? What is it? Better than my corn cakes?"

"Have you ever heard of knife-cut noodles?"

"Huh? Never heard of them."

"Well, that’s what I’m planning to eat today."
