Tycoon: Binding with Young Mature Women
Chapter 91: Change in Mindset
Chapter 91: Chapter 91: Change in Mindset
After Ye Sen provided his answer with a touch of dark humor, Su Yunzhou fell silent for a moment and raised his glass in a toast. He couldn’t help but marvel that experience truly was the best teacher. As expected, anyone who could amass such a fortune was anything but ordinary.
In truth, the answer to the question wasn’t complicated, but executing it was nearly impossible. If one wanted both freedom and money, the simplest method was to become the capital behind the scenes. However, the prerequisite was finding someone with an extraordinary mind and capabilities who could be trusted completely.
Yet, absolute trust was a paradox in itself. Did such a dynamic even exist in human relationships? Some said yes, but most people would say no. Even between husbands and wives, or family members where blood was thicker than water, how many could confidently claim to have absolute trust?
Su Yunzhou had once heard a very thought-provoking analogy. If a parent fell ill and needed a kidney transplant, the child would stand outside the hospital room—hesitant, reluctant, and conflicted. But if a child fell ill and needed a kidney transplant, the parents would argue at the door, both fighting to donate their organs to their child. Only parents could truly give themselves to their children without reservation, whereas children might not always be able to do the same. It wasn’t a pleasant example, but reality was just that cold and cruel.
Returning to the point, even if one could find someone both highly capable and entirely trustworthy, would such a person be willing to remain in the shadows and act merely as a front? There were countless examples of people starting businesses together only to end up as bitter enemies. Regardless of gender, when faced with the temptation of money, people would inevitably waver. Sometimes, a tiny decision could be the crossroad that drastically altered one’s destiny.
Once that topic concluded, Ye Sen posed another question that left Su Yunzhou deep in thought. "Have you ever considered exactly how much money you need to achieve the freedom you desire?"
Su Yunzhou was taken aback. He really had thought about this before. His desires weren’t immense. Before obtaining the divine tycoon system, he felt that buying a house in full, owning an ordinary commuter car, and having a few hundred thousand in savings would constitute his ideal life. But after acquiring the system and mingling in different social circles, his perspective had shifted. Therefore, he had set a plan to complete two small goals.
He didn’t voice this answer aloud. To an ordinary person, those two small goals were an unattainable dream, but to these big shots, it was just a tiny project.
As the meal drew to a close, Su Yunzhou genuinely felt the invisible class divide. Even though the other party was already exceptionally amiable, inadvertent details still leaked the aura of immense wealth. Setting aside the Moutai they were drinking, one only needed to look at the Yajia Spring water on the table. At the same time, this low-key yet luxurious lifestyle planted a seed in Su Yunzhou’s heart. Nourished by the divine tycoon system, this seed would grow wildly.
Noticing Su Yunzhou itching for action, Liu Yiyi deliberately brought up his desire to buy a house. In her eyes, investing in real estate was the safest bet for someone like him who had gotten rich overnight.
Hearing this, Madam Ye asked Su Yunzhou a few questions. "Su, a close friend of mine had some family issues recently and happens to be liquidating her real estate.
"She mentioned last time that she has an unfurnished house selling at a low price, which falls right into your specified range. Would you like to go take a look?"
"Sure!" Su Yunzhou smiled politely. "Thank you, Madam Ye."
Seeing him nod, Madam Ye continued, "Then I’ll pass your contact information to her later."
By the time the meal ended, it was already two in the afternoon.
Upon parting, Ye Sen smiled and asked, "Su, how did you find the liquor today?"
"The ten-year-old Flying Fairy Moutai truly lives up to its reputation," Su Yunzhou replied unpretentiously.
Ye Sen chuckled. "The main thing is drinking it with the right person!"
"Heh heh!" Su Yunzhou gave a knowing smile.
Ye Sen gave a slight nod to Secretary Zhang, who was waiting at the door. "See Mr. Su downstairs."
"Rest assured, Chairman," Secretary Zhang nodded.
After expressing his thanks once more, Su Yunzhou followed Secretary Zhang downstairs.
As they walked through the hallway lined entirely with private rooms, cheerful voices drifted from one of them. Glancing over, he happened to catch sight of Annie, her face flushed, leaning back in her chair looking quite drunk. When her blurry eyes caught Su Yunzhou’s gaze, they suddenly regained their vitality, and she blinked her beautiful large eyes at him.
Su Yunzhou was slightly speechless. He thought, "None of the women mingling in these vanity fairs are pushovers."
Secretary Zhang smiled and asked which floor the car was parked on, then took out his phone and sent a message.
The three of them took the elevator to the second basement level. Waiting by the elevator doors was a smart-looking young man in a black business suit. He was pushing a small cart loaded with two cases of ten-year-old Flying Fairy Moutai, a respectful smile on his face.
"Mr. Su, Ms. Liu, my name is Hu. The boss knew you drank, so he arranged for me to drive you."
Su Yunzhou frowned slightly as he looked at the two cases of Moutai.
Reading the room, Secretary Zhang quickly interjected, "Mr. Su, this is a token of the Chairman’s appreciation. He hopes you will accept it."
Since it was put that way, Su Yunzhou didn’t decline further. The other party’s meticulous arrangements truly made one feel incredibly pleasant and well taken care of. It was no wonder he could build such a massive business.
Hu loaded the two cases of liquor into the Panamera. After watching Mr. Su leave, Secretary Zhang immediately called Chairman Ye to report.
Meanwhile, upstairs in the private room, Ye Sen chatted idly with his wife after putting down his phone.
"It’s been a long time since I’ve seen such an interesting young man!" Ye Sen remarked.
"Indeed! We’ve seen far too many youths eager for quick success. Someone with his mindset is truly rare," Madam Ye replied.
"Being genuine and unpretentious in this society also requires a solid foundation. I couldn’t suss him out just now, so I have no idea which prominent family he hails from!"
"Who cares which family he’s from? Either way, we’ve managed to repay a portion of that favor."
Half an hour later, the Panamera arrived at the open-air parking lot of the Celestial Paradise Holiday Hotel. Hu politely took his leave.
Su Yunzhou made a call and summoned Jian Shan, who promptly came out pushing a hotel luggage cart.
After catching sight of Ms. Liu, who looked exceptionally stunning today, Jian Shan quickly averted his gaze, secretly envious. He thought, "Ms. Liu is an absolute knockout. Every time I see her, her style is completely different, but each one makes it impossible to look away. Mr. Su really has an impeccable eye!"
The trunk of the Panamera popped open, and Jian Shan immediately went to unload the cargo. When he saw the two cases of ten-year-old Flying Fairy Moutai, his movements became even more cautious, while the sourness in his heart grew.
He lamented inwardly, "Fine wine, beautiful women... The lifestyle of the rich is just too extravagantly unpretentious."
After delivering the liquor to the room, Jian Shan quietly took his leave.
Su Yunzhou changed into a different set of clothes, as wearing formal attire was still a bit uncomfortable for him. "Yiyi, do you want to rest for a bit?"
Liu Yiyi set down her phone and rolled her beautiful eyes. "I just told my boss I wouldn’t be going back to the company this afternoon. With such a perfect opportunity to slack off, of course we have to go out and have fun."
Su Yunzhou chuckled and asked, "Then where are we going?"
Liu Yiyi pondered for a moment. "How about we go to Joy Valley? It’s a weekday, so there shouldn’t be many people."
Hearing this, a flurry of memories flashed through Su Yunzhou’s mind, and he nodded in agreement. "Sure! It’s been years since I last went."
With a look of excitement on her pretty face, Liu Yiyi checked the time and said, "I’ll go back and change clothes first, then we can catch a cab over. Once we’ve had enough fun, we’ll have dinner around there to cap off a perfect day."
"Sounds great! I’ll follow the beautiful lady’s arrangements! However, there is still a very important step tonight to truly complete this perfect day..."
"You... you’re so bad..."
